He should know as he was there.
The role of the churches behind the Iron Curtain have been overlooked by historian after historian.
I am glad that it is acknowledged here.
I love Bowie's music, but his contribution was a drop in the sea.

I met Gorbachev once and shook his hand, in 2003, when he shook the hands of all kids in the House of History in Bonn, where he opened a special exhibition. It’s my favourite bar bet, what’s the most influential people you shook hands with?
