"Lights of China" is a song celebrating the 40th anniversary of the establishment of the Shenzhen Special Economic Zone, with lyrics by Tian Di and music by Shu Nan. On February 11, 2021, Zhang Ye and Zhou Shen performed the song together at the 2021 CCTV Spring Festival Gala. The song quickly became popular nationwide and sparked a trend of singing in music academies, with hundreds of millions of plays within a few months. On April 20, 2021, the official studio version of the duet by Zhang Ye and Zhou Shen was released. The song was selected as one of the 30 songs that cross the century of the founding of the Communist Party of China by People's Daily, one of the top 10 BGMs of 2021, one of the new theme songs for "Chinese Dream" in the ninth batch of China Central Radio and Television Station, one of the 40 golden songs from 1983 to 2021 Spring Festival Gala by CCTV News, and one of the most representative songs in the history of Spring Festival Galas from 1983 to 2022 selected by CCTV.
