The mileage deduction is only after marking collected and until delivery complete. Driving to the restaurant or without a live order is classified as private use. You can normal get the delivery milage from uber/deliveroo but not the others.

And when you add up your total do you use the app monthly or bank statement for the total earnings? Because when I use app and if it's not included the cash out fee than I have no idea to do with it...even I can't properly explain it here lol but please help 😅
Once again: my bank statement money after cashout is 50p less but invoice has a total with 50p in it and app also show without cashout and also show before amount of income, just no idea what is gross total in this case
Should I count gross total without cashout fee or it must include it in gross total and after Can I add up cashout fee separately in one tax year and put as an expenses?!

Hi Atlanta! Great vid. Are you sure that you can't claim the expense of your car purchase though. I'm just about to start delivering and I've had two small business advisors both tell me that as it's a business expense, I can claim it back even though it's not used solely for business purposes.
And things like insurance aren't fully deductable but you can claim back the insurance tax that you have to pay when you take out a policy.
Thanks again for the time you take to make these vids and stay safe out there!

Imagine making an average of £5/hr working 100 hours then you have to pay tax on it.. if you only work when it's busy and make £15k in a year then you won't owe tax, better to do the self assessment and put all phone/clothing/fuel/maintenance costs on expenses (it will bring the net figure under 12k which isn't taxed). Some drivers earn 50k and pay 10k tax/NI (probably need shifts to make that much). I knew drivers who worked 100 hours every week, but I'm just a cyclist :)

Hi Atlanta! Nice video and I like your vibes 😊. I've just started to work as a part time Uber Eats Driver and as I understood and as I can see I have to apply for self-employed by HMRC website. Now, How can I submit my self-employed status through the app, do you mind to explain this, Please?. Thank you so much for your time and consideration. Cheers by an Italian in Somerset 😁♥️ 🤌😂.

Hi, thank you. What do you mean through the app? You have to do your tax return at the end of the tax year through HMRC.
