10 years ago I rode the streets of my city on my skateboard while listening to this. My hair reached my shoulders, I loved baggy pants and cool colourful shirts, and my teenage angst felt conforted by Lagwagon and other punk-rock bands.
I couldn't pull off a kickflip to save my life.

After all these years this may have grown to be my favorite Lagwagon album. So full of melodies, heavy guitar riffs, and melancholy. Lagwagon forever!
The tone on this album is so rad. Whoever produced it deserves a punk rock grammy.

I love the unique guitar sound on this album and Joey's vocals which are smooth and rough at the same time

I used to hate this album compared to Hoss and Trashed, but it's actually grown on me. The production is very weird to this day. It's a really good album, I can't put my thumb on what is quite so weird about it. I want to say it's just mixed badly...

@@czerro1 They're oversampling the guitar.They recorded it normally and then they did the same pass but it's tuned way lower.It's makes it possible to have a very loud sound while keeping the clearer aggressive sound.That's how they also did it on Nirvana Nevermind and Smahing Pumpkins Siamese Dream,for example.And also Nofx did So long and thanks for all the shoes that sounds very similar to this around the same time:Punchy heavy ,but super thight-short bass drum and the guitar oversampling....imo it's Fat Wreck chords' attempt to come with a more commercial radio punchy sound, to cash on the Alternogrungepunk craze of the mid '90s...you know Green Day and Offspring and Nirvana and soooo many others.
@@xSin303xI don't doubt you are correct, but there is more going on here. The vocals are definitely lower in the mix than they should be and everything sounds kinda muddy, including the drums that lack any punctuation.
It's unfortunate, because it is front-to-back a solid album, it just doesn't sound quite how it should, IMO.

So it was 2002 2003 I can't remember I was totally wasted. A few doll over the trash cans gnarly. So I jump up on stage rock out until the end of the song jump off stage chut as much beer as I could. Puke all over the trash can say something totally tubular to the cutie floozies jump back up on stage start next song with the band. They never tried to kick me off stage in fact I'm sure they enjoyed it and it was one of the best times in my life by far. Afterwards I'm waiting with some other guys drinking and smoking by the bus for the band to show up. My buddy walks up to me and says What are you doing? I'm like waiting with them for the band. He looks at me and says dude that is the band! I was so wasted lol! I look at them and I say you guys know you are you guys don't you? We all bust up laughing. And they're like yeah we know that we are us guys who we are Don't you? I'm like what who me you guys Lagwagon! Joey told me he wanted to put me on the bus and had me do what I did that night for the rest of the tour!. I would have totally done it and wish I had the opportunity nowadays however I just recently become a father and there was only room for one more on the bus lol! In almost 1,000 shows over 25 years in ways it is definitely the best concert ever and one of the greatest times in my life! The guys are so down to earth that you may not even realize who they are lol! Thanks for all the great great music for so many years that will be here for our enjoyment forever. Don't drink and drive you might drop your beer goggles.

I'll be honest at first, I didn't like that album. I thought it was too different from ''Hoss'' and ''Thrashed''. Took me a while to really understand how much of a masterpiece that album was, and still is!
