Hey Andrea. I don’t know. I guess it might be a cost cutting move or so they could put a pocket on the back. Also, my bags that are woven all around tend to curl up a little at the edges on the back part where it rubs against my body. Those are bags with thinner leather though, not my Dooney Tessuta.
