He's proud of both his Australian Anglo-Celtic and Samoan heritage! He's a very proud Australian-Samoan man! Repsectful humble guy.

maoribrotha53 how can you say "why is he proud of his heritage yet play for another country?", that's like asking the islanders that play rugby/league for nz or aus on why they chose to play for those countries And not represent the country of their heritage. Tim was born and pretty much grew up in Sydney (makes him eligible to play for aus) and he was raised around his mother's side of the family(Samoan). He did represent samoa through football at u17 level, but he learned his craft in Australia. He credits Australia because they gave him exposure and the opportunity on becoming a professional, while on the other hand samoa could not. Its just like the other island athletes (most born in nz/aus) that choose to represent aus/nz in their own sporting trade, they respect their heritage, but they also respect the country of their birth/the country that gave them better oppurtunities on to be successful in their trade of sport. These athletes know that nz/aus has alot more opportunities on offer than the country of their heritage hence why other polynesian families migrate to nz/aus *better opportunities, better future*
That is why tim plays for aus and not samoa, if you don't understand this then your just as obnoxious and pathetic like your question
