- Here is the story of how and why I moved to Armenia! It's a small and fairly unknown country, that I totally fell in love with after my first visit, when travelling in 2021.
The Armenian people are incredible and have always made me feel welcome.
This video is a thank you to them - and also a piece of content that I hope will spread awareness around the world of this special country!

Long live beautiful Armenia from France! We all love you here, you shouldn't be surprised a country with such amazing people, history and landscapes such as Armenia is getting complimented :) 🇫🇷❤🇦🇲
Love Armenia from Georgia! 🇬🇪❤️🇦🇲
I have Armenian friends, they always say good things about Georgia but never about Azerbaijan. After reading about the history of Armenia and Georgia I am surprised your countries aren't brothers. I am sure maybe politics has to do with it. But your food, alphabet style, culture, buildings, looks very similar. I think this is the biggest regret, you guys should just love and enjoy each other. Maybe build a stronger friendship to stand against Turks. If you can kick out Turks in the region, then you can progress with democracy in the Caucasus hopefully with the support of Europe or America. I personally would like to see northwestern Azerbaijan be ceded to Georgia and the Karabakh region to Armenia. I think Azerbaijan's land is too big and they don't deserve it because it's a fake country in my opinion. Anyway, I visited Georgia before and also Armenia. Both countries were lovely, thanks for the great food and hospitality.
@@SteveSaxony we used to be brothers for a long time but yeah we aren’t brothers we used to be, we have helped each other for millennials against big islamic empires and what not. We are also very similar just like you said, we are the only Christian people in caucasus, our blood is related, we have similar cultures, half of our lands are stolen by turks, we have similar kinds of chuches, similar kinds of foods, we both are post Soviet countries and i could go on and on about this facts. But right now many georgians feel betrayed by armenians or dont consider them brothers anymore, the reason is politics you guessed it. Personally i love armenia and armenians i also have armenians friends but on internet, they are great people, hopefully I’ll visit armenia one day. If you want to know the specific reasons i can tell you abt them.
@@kaiya5142 what is the political reason? is it because of armenia's relationship with russia? I think Armenia is trying to move closer to Europe, I think the reason for the Russian friendship is because Armenia thought Russia would protect them but now it seems that it was a lie. Also I heard about Armenians in Bagramyan battalion in Abkhazia but I also know Armenians who were soldiers in Georgian army. Anyway I wish you the best of luck, thanks for educating me my friend.
@@SteveSaxony they declared war on georgia in 1918, in 1992 bagramyan battalion took part of the ethnic cleansing of georgians and in 2008 i think some armenians got payed to fight against us. Im not sure abt the 2008 tho. But the biggest reason is how they stood with russia after all this invasions
@@kaiya5142 native Armenians never fought Georgia in 2008. It was the Abkhazian Armenians who lived there that did. We are brotherly nations! Just Russian likes to get between us. We only fought once throughout history as you mentioned
My wife is Armenian and I'm American, we met in Paris during our studies and still live there with our son - I had much the same reaction as you my first time going to Armenia to visit. I couldn't believe how beautiful of a place it is, how vibrant and fun Yerevan is, and how kind and welcoming the people are... I've also traveled quite a bit and I agree, Yerevan truly is the most underrated city in Europe, and Armenia the most underrated country. I'm glad to see that more people are figuring that out!
God bless you and your family 🙏🇦🇲❤️
Yeah its fun for 1 week
Armenia is not in Europe.
@@user-et7ej3ip4t its definitely better/ cleaner. I just got back to the states and I visited Germany, Italy & at last we had 6 days of Armenia. It is honestly one of the best places we’ve visited.
@@user-et7ej3ip4t nor is Cyprus, geographically. But geopolitically and culturally, it is. Same goes for Armenia and Georgia. There is a reason why both countries are already part of the Council of Europe, and why both are able to join the EU one day, if they so desire and if they meet the other requirements.
As an Armenian I’m glad you like our country & know so many things well - hope there will be many more ppl like u, who see Armenia as you do 🍀🔥
Hopefully we will see more videos about Armenia on your channel 🤙

Wow what a beautiful short video about my country Armenia thank you Luca can't wait to see more. ❤️
Hello from Istanbul, I am an Armenian from Turkey. You can't imagine how happy I am watching your video. Thank you for sharing your experiences about this little lovely country. You are right about robbery, my daughter forgot her phone at a cafe, the next she went and got it. It is also safe for women as me and my daughter who studied at American University of Armenia, stayed in Yerevan for months together safely. I hope one day you find an Armenian wife, devoted to her family. Wishing you happy days in Armenia enjoying the food, beautiful scenery, historical place, hosbitality... Ձտեսութիւն 😊
hi from Armenia. I am shocked that you really moved from UK to Armenia thats incredible. I think a lot of people here really wanted to move to UK, but seeing you here buying office, house completely moving here when you had a chance to move everywhere on the planet just shocks me. Thank you for such a video you make about us on your preaty big channel, hope you will enjoy our country, our city, our culture
I'm not shocked at all as many cities in the UK look more like Karachi now. The first thing I saw once I got there is a dude praying at the bus station after literally occupying it all with his carpet.
Armenia is definitely very underrated country. A jewel.❤
Amazing video! I've traveled much of Europe and culture is dying everywhere. There are so few places in the world where you can actually experience that classic feeling is travel that we've all longed for since we were watching travel shows as kids

God bless Armenia 🇦🇲 and protect it from the dark forces
I went to Georgia and Armenia in 2018, had an amazing time. Went to Azerbaijan in 2019, they interrogated me why I was in Armenia. Also in Azerbaijan I saw a lot of anti-Armenian propaganda and the people just seemed very depressed or not trustworthy. I'm not judging fashion but everyone in Azerbaijan was wearing black or grey or would look at me in a way i didn't trust them. Luckily I stayed only 3 days because when I returned home I searched on google about Azerbaijan and saw they have one of the worst human rights abuses and freedom restrictions in the world. So Georgia and Armenia get a thumbs up and Azerbaijan gets a big thumbs down from me. I would like to visit the Caucasus soon again, maybe visit Abkhazia but I don't know how safe it is plus I hear there are some problems with Georgia I need to do my research.
The thing with Abkhazia is that it's actually a part of Georgia that separated from it a while back and is believed to be occupied/managed by Russia. Why "believed" you ask - Well, if you read about Abkhazia and the war, you'll find that it's all quite messed up and complicated. Anyways, my advice for you would be not to go to Abkhazia but rather explore Georgia or Armenia(as these countries also have a lot of beautiful nature and people and won't get you in any troubles)
Personally I never saw state sponsored or collective hatred towards Azerbaijani people from Armenian but I hear that Azerbaijan sponsors hatred towards Armenians. What a sad way to live. I think it’s to maintain a common external enemy to avoid the people turning on the government.
Yes, you noticed it right about propaganda in Azerbaijan - it's huge there
You nailed it! You truly captured it perfectly.
We also visited azerbaijan and it was the worst experience of our lives. The energy there was negative, people were rude and extremely unpleasant, the food was terrible, poorly made and restaurants seemed very unhygenic. Every time we went some where somebody was trying to trick us or charge more for things. Also they are currently in a war with Armenia and are trying to take land from them. I did alot of research as i wasnt convinced the story the azeris were telling me about the Armenians was true.....it seems most of azerbaijans land was taken from the Armenians a very long time ago and still to this day they are attacking them to take more land. We would never go back to azerbaijan again 🤦♂️
You’re good man Luca! Thanks for the beautiful video of my country! God Bless Brother!! 🇦🇲

thank you so much for this. Armenia is always left forgotten and your description warmed my heart. so glad you're enjoying your experience there. keep up the good content

It takes a certain kind of person with qualities. To understand and appreciate Armenia. Thank you for sharing your honest thoughts. 🙌🏻
Thank you for this video and covering Armenia.
You made our people proud. Turkey gets a lot of our attention, and you came here to be that person we needed.
Thank you, and you are welcome in our country.
And you are still just scratching the surface :D Did you considered vlogging about Gyumri, Ijevan, Dilijan,...?
Yes! I will be making more vlogs in Armenia, where would you recommend first?
@@LucaGallone Maybe Gyumri? Btw, I'm also a foreigner partially living in Armenia since more than 2 years. I'll connect through another channel to arrange a coffee or something :)
@@LucaGallone as someone born and living in Armenia I recommend you visit to Sevan lake especially to Tsovazard beach Bashinjaghyan tea house , you'll be mesmerized by the beauty of that place . A place like that you'll find only in Denmark I believe , but our place is more beautiful 😉
Very much appreciate your perspective and positive attitude towards my country 😊👍
For an Armenian who lives in England it's so surprising to see an English man with such a mindset. Mind-blowing.😮 It's not what I would expect . And it must have been your upbringing and whether it's parents or grandparents or any other reason, I hope you are thankful for that, because it's a rare thing. Now, of course I know you didn't mean to say about bad sides of my country in this tipe of video, which you definitely saw already I am sure, but I would be curious to listen your suggestions on how my people can can make things better in our country. But the good things you said certainly are truth and nothing to add. I hope one day our neighbours can improve themselves and be able to come together for peace, because that's the only major problem we currently have. The rest we can sort out. 😌
