- In the last few days I was in Trento, in the North of Italy, for the 2022 Italian Drift Touge Trophy DT7, a 2-days event organized by CID - Campionato Italiano Drifting (Italian Drifting Championship) and Nolimit Motorsport on a brief part of the famous Trento-Bondone hillclimb with 7 consecutive hairpins.
In the past years Nolimit already organized this weekend but as a simple, non-competitive event for enthusiasts and owners of RWD or AWD cars called ''Drifting 7 Tornanti''. Thanks to the partnership with the Italian Drifting Championship, this year's edition saw the introduction of an actual competition (not valid for the championship) which aroused interest in some drifters with cars from the Pro and Pro 2 category.
As mentioned before the course was a 900 meters stretch of road of the Trento-Bondone, located 4.7km after the start line of the hillclimb, after the village of Sardagna. Actually the drivers were judged only on 5 of these 7 U-turns but the first and last hairpins were part of the course respectively as acceleration and deceleration areas after the start and finish lines.
Most of the footage you see in this video was recorded on Saturday afternoon during the free practice session plus a couple of qualifying scenes recorded on Sunday (those with a bit of sunshine). Hope you like it!

This event is basically "What if Formula Drift happens on a Hillclimb day?"
*WE LOVE IT*
Also so much closer to what's claimed to be the origin of drifting. Do they have sanctioned hillclimb events in Japan?
@@AccAkut1987Drifting didn't originate from the mountains. It came from old school race cars with bias ply tires. Drivers had no choice but to slide.
@@johncarl5505 Italians used drifting on the road normally then japanese started using it in races
As an italian , i can conferm that this is real
After driving 1400 kilometers of this track in Assetto Corsa, I should really visit this in real life.
Same hahahaha
same, in RBR
Then please do it, whos stopping you? Make it come true!

🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
What's the Italian for Touge? Passo Dorifto?
Since Touge means mountain pass, the literal translation is just Passo di Montagna
Ma che bello! C'era anche molto pubblico 👍
5000 persone tra sabato e domenica
@@VTMitalia Apperò, tantissime! Bene, bisogna organizzare più eventi di questo tipo.
Это очень круто. Лучший .
Fckin awesome
Italian touge.
oh yes
Contento che non ci siano più
Quella di Cona è sempre na bomba..
3D audio on this?
Esperaba al menos alguna machina italiana como un Alfa Romeo compitiendo drift.
I would like to know which engine this 180sx with the number 03 on the door uses and this bmw e36 as well ?
The E36 has a BMW S54 turbo swapped engine. The Nissan has a 2.8 l BMW turbo swapped engine, but not sure about which one.
I'm wondering, would drifting be better with co-drivers?
Tandem over 10-15 km, like a WRC stage, 4 people at a time.
I think it can be tried in America at Pikes Peak now that the entire course is paved.
i guess that the main problem would be the tyres not lasting enough ahahha
@@matteobalza2926 well, how about just a short tarmac rally stage with codrivers? that would also push tire sponsors to develop an "endurance drift compound" that retains grip after a lot of mileage sideways.
@@borregoayudando1481 that would be cool then.👍🏻
Heheheh ewery sticker adds 20Hp:):)
I believe Drift is Japan original, however , Italians are much more exciting !
Decription make it your choise the first finished to scene again unsually property pit the labs gonna take complete be hours power.
