Bob Marley’s music has carried through childhood to adulthood. Watching my grandad be in a trance dancing to his music tossing his locs doing the iconic bob Marley dance, I thought he was crazy! Now I know he was free. Bob Marley lives on in the people.

As a child living in he Hills of St Andrew I remember seeing lines of poor ppl lining up at his home 56 Hope Road for assistance. He would give ppl whatever they needed on a daily basis whether or not he was in the country... there were lines everyday no questions asked. It became a challenge for law enforcement as far as crowd control and they tried to shut it down but they were not trying to make the people who came for help from all parts of the country go away. Bob pleaded with them to be orderly because everyone would be attended to.

African American music was influential all over, wonder why does the cage bird sings?it's that melodious songs from our Ancestors that went through the same pain by the same people. Listening to Blues and Godspell Soul Funk Jazz etc amazing... One love. Souls were seeking Redemption. Could listen some good blues right now.

Bob Marley was influenced by Smokey Robinson and Scat music of black america. Look for the image of Bob copying Smokey and the Miracles. Compare Kaya 1973 Bob Marley song and Ella Fitzgerald music.
