You are truly an angel to these horses who if you would not have bought them to rehab they would have been 1 step closer to the slaughter pipeline and horse meat. ❤❤❤❤❤❤

All your horses have beautiful healthy coats. I enjoy watching you fluff through their hair. Speaks highly of your feeding program and how you're able to bring them back from the brink. A beautiful coat indicates good health. My green gelding (a registered quarter horse of three bars ancestry) had a major infestation of worms and almost died. So he was very much a skeleton too with a big belly. He was a bargain at 18 months for $400. Which is really no bargain considering all the money I had to spend on him to rehabilitate. Kudos to you for rehabbing so many horses at once. I don't know how you do it. ❤
He’s adorable ❤❤❤ I love horses
Thank you so much for making playlists for Skeletor and Scarlet ❤
I can now retrace his journey with you again in sequence, instead of watching his videos in random order on your channel as I had been doing 🤣
If there a way to search your videos for Primrose, Studman (Stud Man? Stid-man?), Goose, Whiplash, etc? Or could you add their names to the descriptions?
I'd like to go back and rewatch some of their stories, but can't figure out which horse is in what video.
(Also, I am a librarian and think in terms of indexing 😆 after almost 30 years in the job, I can't help it 😂)
PS - I have been sharing your channel with my friends. We all love animals & have pets 🐶🐱🐹🐤🐴🐢(including an 18 yo🐟!) and your videos are balm against the dumpster fire of world/national/local news 👍🏼
His coat looks like satin. And he is just the sweetest boy. So happy he found you.
okay as a non horse person I had always thought that gelding was a brutal process but it looks like just getting him fixed like you would a cat or a dog. and now he can hang with females.
very similar to having a dog or cat fixed. Just a little tricky when they lay down and get up because they are so big.
Obviously
Stallions can be really dangerous.
It is an op done with sedation and pain relief like any other. Well as far as I have ever seen
It makes them so much easier to handle, cuts down on stall vices from being inside or kept alone, and their lives are enriched by their ability to be turned out with other horses. This is particularly advantageous when they're young with a bit of an attitude about where you as a trainer fit into their own little personal pecking order. Turn them out with a couple older mares and that attitude goes away real quick.
Thank you for saving this sweet boy's life! This video was wonderful! It really helps people see what goes into rescuing and rehabbing horses. His transformation from skin and bones to the healthy guy he is now is a testament to all your hard work and love! ❤
AMEN!!!

People who let their animals get into this condition need to have the same done to them. "Falling on hard times" is not an excuse for starving a helpless animal and I bet the owners never went hungry. So glad you took this sweet boy under your gentle care! His transformation is wonderful! He's beautiful now.
Power of love
Great job with him. I love how you gave him the time to flourish before you decided to do anything with the horse. He turned out beautiful. His body shape and coat looked fabulous
Fabulous ! He has not only survived but he is thriving, flourishing and his coat is absolutely stunning. This is all because of you and the care you have given him ! Blessings !
I did this back right before the covid lockdown. A local kill pen posts "last chance" videos for horses they feel can have a chance.. gentle, not too old, etc before shipping for that "European vacation". There was something so compelling about horse 0360.. I watched his video over a hundred times before thinking I've been out of this for 20 years.. I went on to Dobermans for economic reasons.. but I have the barn.. the acreage time and thanks to my kennel, the money. He obviously had been done right as a baby. Professionally trained. Fantastic disposition even after he was back in top condition. Loves children, super gentle even for my destroyed 65 year old body. I ride with no fear of silliness. And he is gorgeous. Looks to have some Impressive blood in him, he's super muscular.
He was 4 days from being shipped.
Doesn't it feel amazing to save such a worthy horse?
Good job! You done him proud. I wish I could post my before and after pictures. It shocks everyone.
Thank you for saving a majestic animal! Thanks to all whom save them❤️
I don’t understand breeding dogs for “economic reasons” while millions a years are being killed evern Dobermans
They are shipping horses alive to Europe for slaughter? I had no idea.
@@jeannettewilke205 they ship them to Mexico to be processed, then the meat goes to Europe
@@SuperDobieGirl terrible. People should get better informed. Europeans have no idea. I thought the meat was from France or Poland. Horse meat is not popular in Germany at all. I guess it ends up in dog food. French butchers are buying unwanted sports horses in Germany and drive them to France for slaughter.
I love hearing someone else who is patient enough to let a horse mature mentally too before riding! So many people can't even wait for them to mature physically, much less mentally. Life is so much easier if they get plenty of time out with other horses (some horses are excellent trainers for youngsters) and I stick to some groundwork until they're both physically and mentally confident being a horse. I've rescued a lot of horses over the years and they all turned out to be really good horses, but you got a very special one here. I'm glad he found a home where his potential can be realized.
he turned out 100% cutie patootie
You are indeed, a Clever Cowgirl !! Thank you so much, for saving yet another needy neglected horse. You've done a wonderful job so far. I hope you're very very proud of yourself. He looks absolutely stunning. And what a lovely colour he is. But the main thing is, he's now healthy, happy, safe and loved. Lucky Skeletor, and lucky you. 😎😎
I grew up on a farm in North Dakota and we had horses. My sister showed her horses. I could watch these videos all day long. I live in the city now, so it's a reminder to me of the serenity I grew up with and may some day go back to. Thank you for helping these animals in need.
He's gorgeous now...like a brand new copper penny. You know every time you save a horse you get a star in your crown. 👑I know you named him Skeletor...but, really...could he be something else now? Thanks for sharing his journey to health...and we look forward to the next journey to proper cow pony. 🤗
Yes, he could be renamed He Man lol
Yes maybe Thor!
Please, Please, Please rename him a name that suits his nice personality. What a beauty you turned him into!!!
I second the name change suggestion, pretty please.
He's so beautiful. I love that you kept the name Skeletor for him as he's a good reminder of that saved horses can become so beautiful and such good horses too.
Total congratulations on his stunning recovery (to date) from a dreadful starting point when you found him. To me he looks magnificent and it seems you think that there is more to come yet. I very much look forward to seeing and hearing about his progress. Well done and be very proud of your efforts to date. Dan
Skeletor has such a personality. You are an angel for saving his life. I really enjoy your videos and horses. Tiny is so cute too.
Skeletor is soooo beautiful ❤ What a fantastic job you did of bringing him back to health and vitality ❤❤❤ I love him. ❤
He's definitely got some good breeding in his background! So glad he got into the right hands that will ensure he has a bright future. I do wonder if he was somebodys baby at one time--he is just so people oriented!
A total snuggle bug!
This is one of the best rehab transformations that I have seen in a while thank you for saving this little guy congrats and have a awesome journey ahead with him
Definitely looks to be a Thoroughbred colt. He'll remember what you did for him & will a great pal under tack. Bravo to you ❤🏇👍

Holly cow he is healthy.
I love 💕💕💕💕 the way that this horse was transformed from a sickly horse to a grand, majestic looking horse!! He is just a treasure to see!! Im glad that someone thought of him to take good care of him!! Bravo 👏👏👏👏!!
What an amazing story! As my Mom would have said, “There’s another jewel in your Heavenly crown!” 😇👑
Drummer, I’ve never heard that saying. I like it. Thanks
Your such a blessing to the horse world ❤
I cried the whole vid. You are restoring my faith in humanity. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.❤
Thank you for rescuing this guy. He is darling! And seems pretty level headed considering the condition he was in when you got him and not knowing what he has been through…pretty fella with a nice head and good hock flexion too. Thank you for caring for this guy and taking the time that you feel he needs to properly mature. 👍
Thank you for saving this wonderful boy ❤
So happy to see that someone is out there saving these horses. Twenty years ago I cared for a similar horse for a rescue who had bought him at a New England university auction - the college owned the horse! The university's horse manager's excuse was that it had been a very cold winter that year (she was correct), and all their auction horses had been outside all winter in one paddock far from their "good" horses. This horse was very submissive and wasn't allowed to eat by the other horses. The students who were paid to feed them didn't stay around to see what was happening. The thoroughbred was so very skinny, had a bloody, gaping hole in his chest that the vet decided was too large to stitch. I honestly was surprised to see Tequila still standing the day after the auction. I was so disgusted with the college that I almost called the local tv news to do a story about it. I took care of him for six months then the rescue found a permanent home for him.
Love this story! I just purchased a skinny scabby gelding a month ago. He had no top line and you can only see ribs. Still dealing with a snotty nose and some swelling on the left back hind. I hope he turns out half as well as your boy, what a sweet skeletor!
Thank you for taking on your boy! Best wishes to you both!
💚
He is stunning, you have done a fabulous job with him. Thank you for saving him.❤
Awww he's beautiful. Thank you so much for rescuing this sweet boy 💗
What an incredible transformation!
Also as someone new here can I just say where you are is STUNNING! Like I can't get over the mountains in the background, incredibly jealous where ever you are!
Thank you for sharing this with us, and saving this guys life. He is so handsome and it was a privilege to see him transform. I really hope we get to see him coming into work so we can follow him further.
Thank you for being so loving with him! He seems so sweet :) Have a really nice day, I’ll definitely be watching more of your videos ❤
Heartwarming story, he's looking great through your care and good horsemanship. I wish there were more people like you around. Thank you for sharing this ❤
OMG he's gorgeous !! Thank you for saving him. He turned out to be a looker. So sad people let him get that way . Love watching your videos your so calm and caring your awesome 🙂❤❤❤❤❤❤
He’s so beautiful! He’s so lucky you found him. I wish you would keep him because he looks like he loves you. You are an angel to so many needy horses. You save them.❤😘🙏🏻✨
Skeletor. I had a Liberty's Thunder Cat. Thought I bought an under weight large pony. Ended up with a 14.3 Quarter Horse. Just perfect.
Well done.
Good job sweetie.
He Is Beautiful & What A Character ! Thank You For Saving Him !
Thank you for giving him the time the more he knows the more valuable he will be. Would love to see the next stage of his journey. ❤
❣💯Great plan restoring his topline with tons of alfalfa. You can see the thoroughbred in him. He's a racer, what form! Sad that people have to auction their horses when they can't afford to feed them; you narrate as a vet, the anatomy discussion telling us what to look for.
I really like the detail. Anatomy, nutrition, *giving them time to heal/grow up* without pressure to obey or achieve imposed goals. This woman truly loves horses, big time. Thank you CC. 😘
Love the transformation. Glad you are taking the time to bring him to his full potential. I really like the way you explain everything you do
You should call him Teddy, because he is ready for what ever you throw at him🍀🇺🇸
What a brilliant story a great save
What a great job. Thanks very much
Wow!!!! he is amazing!
He's gorgeous. Sounds like he has a wonderful personality and it was brilliant how unflappable he appeared, even just after you had rescued him. Kudos to you for doing such a fantastic job.
Good on you!

Amazing! Thank you for saving him. He is glorious!
I love him and I love YOU for the life you have given him! Thank you for saving this precious boy!!
Excellent 👏🏽 I like this sort of stuff
Really enjoyed watching your video. I’m in my 70’s and no longer ride. You bought a real winner with this horse. He looks fabulous after a season with you and I’m sure he’ll bring great joy to you and eventually learn his place in the herd. I’d be interested to learn what his D & A result would show. Well done you.
That horse is a looker. And he likes to run.
Sometimes our Light goes out, but is blown again into instant flame with another Human Being...
You are an angel!
What a wonderful example you are setting. Skeletor is beautiful!
Bless you for buying him. The transformation is well worth a video!
Your horses are so lucky to have your sweet heart and love to care for them!♥️ Skelator is beautiful…WOW what a transformation he went through and remained so healthy through it all. Not only that, but it’s obvious he’s had some training. It’s apparent he trusts and loves you for saving him! He’s never going to want to leave your side. I think you have a horse for life in him😊. What a lucky guy♥️♥️♥️

They're just so innocent and vulnerable. They need all the love in the world, and more.
Wowww wonderful to see how he has come along!, and your patience with the whole process!
He found his Guardian Angel! Excellent work!
You are one of the "good ones". Bless you! ❤
Hi from New Mexico
Has your vet checked for a microchip? Great job with him. He's lovely!
Yes, no chip :(
What an amazing transformation ❤
Great job with him!! I absolutely love the way you rehab , I do it in a very similar way too! I just don’t use stalls yet. Quarantine in a round pen and turn out with a small herd after proper weight gain and vet clearance. And I hold on to them for years too! I don’t try to flip them, I let them be a horse and now they are all stunning just like your boy.
You saw a Spark in him noone else did!
My goodness!!! I think you must be a magician!!! That sweet little pony is just stunning!!! Wow! and more wow!!! Love seeing what you do!!! Thanks so much!! ❤❤❤
Bless you for helping these beautiful animals.
Thku for ur kindness to this poor horse.

I wish they were all as lucky as this boy.
A dream I have ... Having land as a sanctuary for wildlife and horses.
