LYRICS:
South Sydney marches on!
Glory, Glory to South Sydney
Glory, Glory to South Sydney
Glory, Glory to South Sydney
South Sydney marches on
When speaking of the champions, one stands above the rest
Of glories old and records proud, when often put to test
Of fine traditions, history, that others cannot best
They wear the Red and Green
Glory, Glory to South Sydney
Glory, Glory to South Sydney
Glory, Glory to South Sydney
South Sydney marches on
They mauled the Balmain Tigers
Slew the Dragons from St. George
The Seagulls and the Mounties next
Were crushed by mighty force
They humbled Parramatta
And the Berries in due course
They wear the Red and Green
Glory, Glory to South Sydney
Glory, Glory to South Sydney
Glory, Glory to South Sydney
South Sydney marches on
They plucked the Western Magpies
Slashed the Newtown bag of blue
The Eastern Suburbs Rooster crowed
And then was conquered too
The greatest name in any game
Within South Sydney grew
They wear the Red and Green
Glory, Glory to South Sydney
Glory, Glory to South Sydney
Glory, Glory to South Sydney
South Sydney marches on

South Sydney got the idea for there song from Battle hymn for the Republic
Anthony, the other version that you posted is not "RARE". The new version is what is currently played after every victory. This, the original version needed to be updated as there are teams mentioned that no longer exist and no mention of existing teams. The club asked Allan Caswell to recreate the original with new lyrics (provided by Morrie Anthony). Allan brought it to me and I laid down all the tracks in my studio and Allan sang.
Thanks for commenting with that info, I really appreciate it!
I'm assuming you're talking about the "2004" Glory Glory? The reason I've marked it as "rare" is simply because it is rare to find on CZcams and rare to hear at club events since they've reverted to the 1967 version as in this video.
This video is from the club website and is the same version that is played in the ground after a win.
I do know that the 2004 version was used post-victory for a time period - the footage I have of one of the trials in 2008 has it playing after the game. However, by the next season I believe we had reverted back to the original.
