  • Paul Cézanne was a brilliant French Post Impressionist who moved towards cubism in later life. He spent his whole life in Aix en Provence. Mont Sainte Victoire mountain has become synonyms with his work. I painted a watercolour demo whilst reflecting on this great artist.
I'm Frank Walters and I teach all the secrets of expressive watercolour landscape painting in a loose style that everyone can learn.

I truly enjoyed this lesson… I will play around with this … I like the palette you used and how you simplified the photo and made it work to your painterly eyes.
    Delightful and thank you 🙏🏼🎨✨💕

About the time you said you were done would be about the time it would be so easy to start fussing. Thanks for the video.

If you lived in the countryside, a beautiful place growing up, know the place through every season, try painting it from memory? That’s what some of his work looks like to me. Mind’s eye pictures capturing beautiful flashes of memories & toying with technique.
