- Last summer, Goodhertz built a plugin called Wow Control goodhertz.co/wow-ctrl
To build this revolutionary plugin, Goodhertz spent months answering a deceptively simple question: why does tape sound so good?
That’s where Devin Kerr - Goodhertz co-founder and Principal DSP engineer - comes in: he knows why tape sounds so good. - Hudba
That sand paper comment is really accurate even though I've never thought of that specific analogy myself. I know what he means.
I appreciate the fact that you guys actually turn the effect up to audible levels. I am a relative neophyte with engineering and mixing, so about 75% of this type of video is some guy turning an effect to 3% and going "Oh my god! Can you believe what that just did?!?" and I'm like "It sounds exactly the same to me what happened."
I like the Vulfpeck feel to these things, it's up front and not pretentious. My next plugins will be from Goodhertz.
Just discovered your plugins recently. Had to stop myself from buying all of them at once and going broke. The WOW Control is definitely at the top of my wishlist right now.
Also by the way I love the personality of your website and videos. Fun, informative, and interesting without being obnoxiously quirky.
LOve your plugins!!!!
Everything about this company just brings me joy, keep being awesome guys :)
one of my all time faves
Awesome, Thank you for the perfect explanation
You guys make the best videos!
great work
Whoever does your marketing, interface design and everything is really good. I'm very drawn to your plugins because they sound good AND they look good AND they are usable. Maybe there is a slight trade off in usability but it's so much better than all these terrible interfaces modelled after hardware units.
very cool video
Yeah science!
I want to get into DSP programming.
I have a solid understanding of programming in general.
Any starting point tips?
First effects and stuff?
noseman123 I'd recommend using something like Max/MSP to start with audio DSP. Once you get more advanced you can write your own objects in C or get into plugin coding. Also, check out the DAFX book - a must have for anyone doing audio DSP.
As far as a first effect, go for something you think is cool!
Thanks!
Sidechain the tape, call it duct.
Wtf snare is being used in the beginning of this
Hey ! What is the intro song name please ?
it.s smile dog meditation
Yeah but without the dog, it’s by Vulfpeck
Where have you been all my life? Lol
