Hey guys and welcome to todays video where we are taking an exclusive first look at the new pink serum from the ordinary.. what do you guys think, let me know in the comments.. Love you all x
Just a question; are a qualified dermatologist or an educated layman? No shade, I'm just interested. Xx
I'm done with layering half a dozen single active serums. My next layer is going to be a bag over my head. 😅. I want a multi multi multi active serum with peptides, antioxidants, ceramides, acids, pigment inhibitors, and toss in some retinals too. Sick of 2% actives and 98% nothing serums. I hope the ordinary starts combining more actives.
I agree and I think this is the direction which the brand is going in and I think thats for the best for sure.. sending love x
Have you tried the Mad About Skin products? I haven’t but the super serum is loaded!!!
Agree but thats will not profit any brand i guess thats why i dont expect this wish come true
Sis, not a bag!! I'm hollerin! 😭🤣
@@bluenic0le It will save me money on sunscreen. 🤣
I‘m definitely going to try this.
Centella with so many useful extras 😍
And that pink colour will help cheer me up on those dark mornings in autumn and winter.
Pepto-Bismol is the first thing I thought of when I saw that color, too 😊
I like the idea of multi-actives and using fewer products in your routine. I think I will likely give this a try.
I hope that the ordinary will continue this way. Thanks for the great review!
Oh i am so pleased your reviewing this before it launches as I'm thinking of buying it x
I have been really impressed for the couple of weeks I have been using it.. love x
You're comment about pricing was hilarious. I'm cheap as chips also. I agree about them not singing the praises of the key actives. The Ordinary should get you on the marketing team 😄. You're content is brilliant and I need to remember to hit the like button.
Thanks for this review. It sounds like something that I’d love to use on my skin.
Been meaning to ask too. What’s everyone doing for a skincare community for discussion now that the MAS FB group has been shut down?
Just tried now in Sephora Malaysia. Having a break out these past few days.. I tried this morning from their tester, and came back this evening to buy my own bottle. two of my pimples dried in an instant!! 😍💕
Perfect timing! I just received an email from them this morning about this product.
Oh glad the video came in useful hun.. sending love x
This'll come handy as the weather gets colder ❤
Sounds nice. These new Ordinary releases are pretty interesting. Thanks for the review.
Happy Monday Scott... I agree I think the newer launches from the ordinary are really interesting and I have started to be really interested in the brand again which is not something I have felt for a while.. love xx
@@MadAboutSkin the multi active formulations are dragging us back in. Sneaky Estée Lauder.
Happy Monday loving your videos 😊xx
Thank you so so much hun and Happy Monday to you too .. love xx
I’m not fond of centella asiatica alone but with other ingredients it can do wonders to help reduce redness. Adding niacinamide is a plus.
I ordered this serum when I had just started using my prescription Epiduo gel (0.1% Adapalene and 2.5% Benzoyl Peroxide). The Epiduo has wrecked havoc on my skin, my acne is disappearing fast but my skin is so dry and flakey, a bit irritated too. I think I'm going to start using this serum in the mornings, I hope that it'll help 😁 It looks promising!
i started using Dr. Idriss’s skincare line, and my skin has felt a bit sensitive. not mad about it, her system has actives in it and i’m adjusting to it. so i’m kinda interested in this product.
I'm 57 and have a couple of The Ordinary products that I enjoy. I think this will be a good one to slide in as well.
Thank you so much for watching and sharing xx
Wish this were available right now. Just toasted my skin by using too much retinol and vit c. Saw some new lines and panicked! Will def give it a try but may wait until the big sale in a couple of months. Hope you're doing great and enjoying the last weeks of summer.
Happy Tuesday hun and its super hot here in the UK so we are certainly making the most of summer while it lasts :) ... Haha its funny you mention the big sale lol as i am holding out for that to top up on so many of The Ordinary products.. love xx
So im having a weird eczema/dermatitis type flare up on my face and throat, tried a few things to help but they didnt really do much. Ive been using this serum for about 2 days now and i already can tell a huge difference in the irritation and dryness. It smells a bit.... peppery? Maybe? Not a bad thing, just the first thing that comes to mind 😂 definitely gonna be keeping a bottle of this on hand at all times.
I think I will be giving it a try! I would love to see more serums/products like this from The Ordinary. Right now I think I use about 14 different products from them 😂
I totally agree and I think having more multi active formulations is the way forward and I would love to see more like this from the ordinary xx
❤I love love the ordinary for years on my 78 yo skin. I will give it a try. Thank you for the review ☺️
Thank you so much for watching and sharing.. sending love xx
Have to agree! Have used it for years on my 77 year old skin. I agree with Rob, hope the ordinary starts making multiple ingredient serums. I’m a little tired of all the bottles!😂
@@karenhecht2342 hi. Me too. We are such trendsetters. Make it a great day. 😉
Hi Rob, how do you rate this compared to the amino acid serum or the Aloe one from the same brand?
I appreciate this first look, i have dry skin…i can always find the oil/occlusive products, but a good hydration product i am still on the hunt for (dry skin can lack both) even though i live in a humid subtropical climate. Might give this a try 🤗
thank you so much for watching hun, how are you? sending you lots of love xx
Try the Anua 77 toner, it’s soothing and hydrating
I’d like to know how this one compares to the crave great barrier relief serum and the Coco kind barrier serum
You have me wanting to order and try the pink serum!
I'm going to order another on 15th.. I think it's a great staple to have on hand.. love you tom xxx
@@MadAboutSkin I’ll be placing an order too…. Can’t hurt to have something on hand for when I go too heavy with the retinoids!
Just received mine, and used it, it actually feels good on my face. And can’t wait to see how it go.
how did it go?
I loved the ordinary when I first started but I think that after a while we start looking for more complex mixes to save time.
Nice review 👏 but I stay with geek & georgeous-love their products
I just got mine in the mail. Going to use it today but was looking for some videos on it, and I was crossing my fingers that you would have something on this!
So my first thoughts are it spreads nicely and absorbs quickly while applying. No pink stays on the skin. It feels nice, not sticky or anything, and does feel hydrating. Will come back to update you guys after I've used it for a bit.
@@sshane1986how did it go?
Great video Rob. I always value and trust your perspective and expertise. Do you think it would be effective as a post-shave serum for redness and irritation, or is there one you would recommend more for that? Thank you! Sending you love.
Awww thank you so much hun and your support means a lot to me.. I never thought to use it like that but your right it could totally work post shave and be an effective option.. you would have to try and see how hydrating it is, I dont get that dry after shaving so I think this would be fine but for others they may need more... love xx
Mark M from Florida?! If so, how have you been? It has been a long time….
@@tthibideau Hello Tom, yes it has been a while. Things are good. I certainly hope the same for you both personally and professionally. 🙏🏼
@@markm2793 thank you Mark! Glad to hear things are good! Feel free to reach out on messenger…. It would be great to catch up!
Would this be a good replacement to Niod's Modulating Glucosides?
I’ve just started using G&G stress less serum but I think it might be irritating me a little, yea crazy right?! I’m wondering if it’s Beta glucan that doesn’t agree with me. I had a similar reaction with iunik Beta glucan serum 😔.
After the ban with the retinol from The Ordinary in EU I hope they really create a new anti-aging super serum with retinoid, niacinamide and some extra ingredients. I'm kinda over layering a bunch of ingredients aswell. Or a very nice day cream with vitamin c, e and other anti-oxidants.
Nivea has a nice Q10 energy vitamic c & e & spf15 face cream for day but it is comedogenic and has fragrance. I wish they did a similar cream in The Ordinary.
Omg that would be amazing I'm crossing my fingers it happens xx
Would be interesting to see how this compares to Modulating Glucosides from NIOD
Yes!
Great questions.. This is obviously a little cheaper which is nice to have a more affordable price point but in terms of how they work you will get similar outcomes but with different ingredients.. If the NIOD one is within your budget i would stick with it but it will depend on price point.. love x
Would this be the equivalent to NIODS modulating glucosides? 😮
I purchased it. Using it under Tretinoin. So far so good! It’s definitely hydrating.
Yay I am so glad its working for you hun x
There is a fragrance ingredient in this: p-anisic acid. But it's near the bottom. In the winter, I may try this serum.
Thank you so much for watching and sharing xx
Thanks for the video
Thank you so much for watching hun.. love x
Hey Rob.
I've been following your channel for some time now, and I really want to try som if your products 😊.
There's just one problem, they are sold out😢😅.
Do jo have any idea when they will be back in stok?
Love from Vibeke in 🇩🇰
Hi hun, thank you so so much for your kindness and support and we hope to have the serum back in stock in the next couple of months.. if you sign up to the newsletter on the website I will be announcing the restock first on there.. sending you so much love x
I’ve heard people with acne prone skin should stay away from B12 supplements. Does it matter as an ingredient in this case?
Hey Rob! I’m probably going to order this during the November sale - I planned on replacing my other centella serum thats I use after vitamin c as you recommended in your other videos. But, I noticed TO says you shouldn’t use this with vitamin c! Any idea what ingredient in this is incompatible with l-ascorbic acid?
Update! I “delved straight on in” to research and I think you can’t use it together because vitamin c and niacinamide shouldn’t be used together. Let me know if that’s the answer!
do u think having like 5 serums is too many? I have this the aloe, the marine hyluranics, mandelic acid, azealeic acid, like is there a rule for how many serums to use or how many is too much lol so confusing tbh
LAUNCHES 15th September... links in description are active now though
Hi is this used after retinal or before retinal? :)
Happy Monday everyone
Have a great week Pauline!
Happy Monday hun x
Hey Rob, interesting video, could you compare and contrast this to your MAS Got You Covered serum which I personally use twice a day? What are the major differences? Sending love as usual ~ Paula
Happy Monday Paula... I think both serums are calming and soothing and will support with the barrier.. the MAS serum has more in terms of actives like azelaic and vitamin c so I still think its more comprehensive and I would probably use the ordinary one to complement it rather than in place of if that makes sense.. sending you lots of love x
thanks, I'll stay with the MAS Got You Covered serum. My skin really loves this serum@@MadAboutSkin
I LOVE 💘 UR EYE BROWS...
Awww thank you so much Hun and sending you lots of love XX
Hello from Canada! I've been watching your channel and learning a lot. But now I have a collection of products I don't know how to layer! I have inkey peptide cream, centella cream, snail serum, pycnogenol, timeless vitamin c, prescription tretinoin, sinoxin, and azelaic acid. I also would like to add niacinamide back in there. Please help!!
"Living your Barbie fantasy" - I love it 😂
Haha well if the colour fits lol... love x
Bought it! Put it on for the first time today. Actually I bought to use on my legs which are razor burned and sensitive. A few drops on and my skin feels so much calmer. It was on fire. I am a runner and my skin is always very reactive to sunscreens and shaving. I liked it so much I then put a bit under my eyes. Let’s see how this goes.
Yay I am so so glad it's working for you Hun.. thanks for sharing xxxxx
I’m using tretinoin just moved to 0.1 so I’ve ordered from decium
Yup! definitely Pepto Bismol - but an interesting product
Haha yes thats the first thing I thought lol.. sending love x
This is something I might give a try :) also is the Facebook group still active? Noticed it was paused so has no activity :(
Unfortunately the FB group is no longer active.
@@tthibideau awww how come? :( was always good to come to get advice and questions :(
I think I' ll stick to MAS serum + some centella, not very sensitive anyway
:) so so glad the serum is working for you... i think this one is a nice addition to the market but if you already have your products which work for you i wouldnt rush out and buy it.. love x
Before or after actives?
I just bought it this morning...fingers crossed it helps for the winter months
Can't wait to hear what you think of it Hun.. hope you enjoy it xx
@@MadAboutSkin so far so good does not irritate my face which many products do and the pink color does not stain
When my skin is really irritated I use eczema lotion for babies. I don’t think the ingredients in calming creams are very expensive like vitamin c or retinol.
I love baby skincare, so affordable and usually great for sensitive skin, i know people dont use it as they dont think its for them but some of the kids ranges have great products in them.. love x
I do want to try it. Who can't benefit from barrier support all the time. 😊
I agree I think this is one which could work for everyone for sure.. love x
193K!! Maybe 200K by the weekend!! 😮😮😮❤
That’s what I’m thinking too Jan! Can you believe how quickly the channel is growing?! ❤️❤️
Hey, do you know where this would fit in a routine with Facetheory Porebright N10 serum? Would this come after the serum and before the moisturiser? :)
Hey grant.. lovely to hear from you and I hope all is amazing with you.. I would use it after the serum and before the moisturiser if that makes sense.. sending love x
@@MadAboutSkin thanks :) that’s what I done tonight and it works really well :) I’m all good thanks hope all is great with you too :) much love x
Would you use this with your super serum?
I’ll buy it, but I wonder when it’s going to be launched in Australia 🇦🇺🏳️🌈
Love Mr. Kerry ❤
Hi hun, its going to be launched in Aus this coming Friday 15th Sept.. love x
Wonderful Dear, thank you for your help and fast reply ❤️Mr. Kerry 🇦🇺🏳️🌈💋
tbh it kinda look like calamine lol
remind me of new formular of barrier support serum from fyne (skincare brand in sephora that came from my country)
Thank you so much for watching and sharing.. sending love xx
can I use Ordinary barrier serum before Tretinoin to reduce skin peeling?
Hi hun.. yes you can though I would use a small amount Before you apply tret then a small amount after and that will give you the best results xx
Hi rob can you pease try the cosrx 6 peptide booster skin
hi hun, I have a lot of products on the go at the moment but this is one which I have on my list to try in the future for sure.. love x
@@MadAboutSkinI second this motion! But mine arrived on Wednesday, so I guess I will try it myself! 😁😁😁
Confused if I should put it before or after my vitamin C serum?
I would put it on after though it doesnt really matter.. love x
Will this work with any anything and can it be used every day x
Hi hun, there is nothing I see it not working with so you should be fine and yes I would use it twice a day for the best results.. love x
Can YOU use this with Copper peptide serum? Before or after?
Yes you can and I would use it before.. hope this helps x
Would u swap this in place of the cosrx snail muccin essence ?
Hi hun, yes I think that would be a good swap .. sending love x
Thank you 😊
Sounds like it is also a dupe for the ordinary amino acids serum
This is such a good point and yes if your using that then this one could be swapped out for it.. hope all is amazing with you x
Please review the new products from facefacts ceramide range
I love their products so much and would totally recommend them x
lmfaoooo when u said if ur using the niacinimide serum give it a toSS LMAO I laughed
This colour gives me: Ghostbusters 😂👻
I’m so into Korean and Japanese serums and essences Japanese sheet masks… I don’t think I’m going to bother with that serum . 🤷♀️
Thank you so much for watching and sharing xx
You know how you don’t like CeraVe? Yeah, I’ve never understood the hype about The Ordinary.
I’ll stick with Korean skincare- they know how to make formulas that are elegant. And they are the OG of centella calming skincare. 😁
Happy Tuesday hun and thank you for sharing.. I have been up and down with the ordinary, loved them initially then went off as i think they got a little boring and prices went up but recently i have been loving their new launches.. love x
TO is the new Hylamide but not in the right way imo because there is no real innovation. The pink color comes from the Vitamin B12 also known as cobalamin. Since their huge price increases, I have cut many products from TO from my routine. 20 euros for this Pepto Bismol Centella Serum 😂 ? I pass.
Hi hun, how are you doing? lovely to hear from you and sending lots of love x
Please stop posting videos with black heads!! Are so gros!! I am closing fast your chanel just to not see them.
I feel so sorry coz i love your content 🙊♥️
Hey Hun.. I film a range of content to make sure to cater for what everyone is looking for.. the Blackhead videos are by far the most popular accounting for 80% of the channel views so they will not be stopping but I limit them to 4 per week.. I also uploaded 7 standard shorts videos and 5 full length videos so there is something for what everyone wants... thanks for your support and sending you lots of love xx
