As an American what we actually say is "congrats" or "good job" usually sometimes we say "thats awesome" but that can come off sarcastic. All the ways listed in the video are really formal and not a lot of people use all the time.

Oh their are other beautiful words too to be just real. That's a happy share that you have done. Or you can really express that you envy too or you can say great or best for you or too many real emotions that you really have towards that purticular situation. It will be unique so no one can teach others how to feel its terrible if I tell something that's taught to me, it's terribly uncommunicative in that case...

"Congratulations" is addressed to special achievement or special moment.
Wedding, graduation, pregnancy, are some of the great achievement in life. So, people prefer to say "congratulations" than "bravo" or "way to go, Bro".
