Going between the wall and the lighthouse was what finally did it for me. I spent hours on this level, almost completing it many times but running out of time just before I got to the last light house.
Seems you have to be very deliberate in your flight pattern. You have to be in total control not deviating even a little from your flight path between points. If only the controls weren't fucked up.
Spent abt 1 hour trying to complete this. Watched this video and did it straight away. Thanks.
What did they do differently? I always run out of time before the last 3 laterns. 🤦🏾♀️

I just had this problem too, I ran out of time much earlier, hearing the beeping countdown earlier too, I then tried doing it without pressing the X button (flapping wings) this helped and I got through it with a few seconds left! That’s the only different thing I saw them do which worked and helped me go faster! I hope this helps :)
I know this is two years late, but the trick is to limit how much time you spend going up and down. Any time you spend adjusting your altitude is time lost. So it's important to be real precise when adjusting your altitude between each object.
Thanks this helped me with the lanterns. I honestly got lost looking for them, but this video helped a lot.
A 3.6 second margin for error? That's insane!
OG game apparently gave you 0.4 less seconds, but the chests were a little closer together so it didn’t suck as much to do.

Yeah I eventually got it. In fact platinumed the first 2 games so far.

Somehow I magically succeeded immediately after watching this video, even though I didn't really do anything different from before. I don't get it. lol
Finished it with 0.1 of a second. Was trying it for about an hour.
Barely did I not get fast enought to the last lightouse. It was so close, I was like half a second before I could have lit it up. These levels are still as hard as back in the day! :)
How did the game let you complete the level without any problems? The level is glitchy as fuck
Wow, I tried the other video that has you collecting an extra lighthouse while your getting the archs and I just couldn't get it. Tried it this way and got them all on the second try. Thanks.

Same the last three lamps are hard to get its really pissing me off
Swear the camera and controls were tighter and a bit easier to get around in the original...
The graphics are also clearer so it's easier to spot hidden things and follow flight paths

could never find the lights...it shows them as small lights but I never knew it was the whole light house ps1 and xbox one

Thank you, I've literally been trying this level for an hour doing several different orders and couldn't do it, thank god I decided to watch this video, cuz I guess you literally can't do it in any other way but one, or if you can do it in another order than shown here I wasn't lucky enough or skilled enough to do it or some shit, but I don't believe that cuz I 100% Spyro 1&2 on the PS1 without really any major issue

What I did was switch the max fps to 30 and i somehow made it lol
I royally hated all of these fucking bonus levels.
Ugh I could never finish this game on the original. Trying it on reignited now! Still hard, just not AS hard..
