There used to be a local arcade where I lived and Duc Do would frequently go to. I was pretty new to competitive MvC2. One night I just got off of work and went to play on the machine when a random dude came up and picked spiral. I thought it was funny and maybe he was new. Then he proceeded to destroy me. It was then I learned that he was Duc Do. He spent the next hour essentially training me. It was really cool.

We've just seen the best Matrix vs Duc tutorial in the history of this game hands down.
This is more Duc vs Justin content than what has been done in the last 20 years.
Before this it was B5 and I think the 2005 team tournament which wasn't even filmed as far as I know.

Watching this type of high level fighting game play in a game that Ive played so much myslef is always worth the hour! Thanks Jwong for playing and never getting worse! You always get better! So impressive!
1st match was both cats jumping and whiff and getting scattered hits. That's not high level that street fighter hit confirms I don't think it ls high level I think it's bullish like wrestling in ufc or kicking the leg 100 times in ufc wack asf. Combos block strings and mix ups are better for the community
Whiffing when they already have max meter too
Ducdo was like the first Marvel monster I had heard of.
The way Justin was able to protect Cyclops was masterful. I don't think he got even 1 good punish on Cyclops
How many games did you actually watch?
@@yomi_jeremy3964 i wrote that I was almost half way through the video. He ended up punishing Cyclops a few times but still over 20+ matches what Justin did is incredible

Marvel vs Capcom 1 and 2 really need to be re-released on the PS4, PS5, Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S and Steam PC. I can say the same thing about X-Men vs Street Fighter and Marvel Super Heroes vs Street Fighter.

Why does Duc teleport in response to hailstorm? Does he take less damage getting hit by the last few shots vs blocking the whole thing? Or is he trying to time it to teleport when he can dodge the whole super?
He can time it to dodge the entire super and punish. I’m pretty sure online environment made it difficult to do.
He's trying to avoid the super, spirals teleport is instant I believe. But she gets nipped by the last of it.
You can indeed teleport out of the super and avoid being hit, you can see a perfect example of this executed at 28:17!
@@ilikeyoraincoatbihsdv7186 Personally I think he was abusing it; probably rust. Sometimes just taking the chip is better. A few times he teleported closer to Storm in harms way.
Duc Do, one of the very few cable players that can use the psimitar properly.
And posible the only player at the moment that can challenge Khaos!!

@@mikeehrmantraut4695 The matchup. Also there's a question of how much practice Khaos gets vs a spiral team. Duc is/was probably the best spiral ever. If Khaos is playing vs that level of spiral let us know. But I remember in evo 2005 I wasn't really following the mvc2 scene like I was for guilty gear / cvs2 and I had no idea who Yipes was...so when he beat Justin in top 8 I was shocked. Then Duc locked him down in the finals, it was amazing. Anyway it's no question khaos is the best right now but maybe a world class spiral can make it hard for him.

Doubt its fightcade as the pixels are to crisp, I think nulldc run it at minimum graphics.

Can Spiral work in other teams? I know no teams have really been properly done, so maybe not, but technically there could be a chance. Im just getting into mvc2 tho, *some* experience in skullgirls but not much. Imma see how the march release to pc n console are, if its got proper netcode or not before I decide on how to play tho, figure I can still inquire n research tho.

Justin Wong I did see that match and it was AWESOME! I just love low tier stuff with MVC2. And VDO is SO ride or die with his Rogue, Colossus, Ken team, and you have such an appreciation for the lower tier characters that it would be awesome to see you guys colab on a video! This guy won EVO three times in a row with this game. Seriously, probably going against him will be a perfect on his favor.
Four if we include B5, but Duc won two out of the tree times that Justin didn't win MVC2 when it was on the main stage.

@TheMrProtocol hell yeah! I actually got to play him in tournament because it was kinda small and I was in his bracket. I beat his storm but then he beat my whole team lol. I didn't even expect to beat one character so I was happy with that haha.
@GaMeStuH The Return Of Toxicity ok I agree that khaos is on another level but when he played Wong a while back in exhibition Wong wasn't really playing marvel like he has recently. And he still managed to make khaos work for it. If Wong can do this to Duc who is considered a God to many he can certainly do this to 99% of those who think they are good. The top three in my book are khaos, Wong, yipes. You may think his gameplay is "ordinary" but I guarantee he'd whoop majority of peoples asses with his "ordinary" gameplay. He was champ for many years for a reason, these online warriors don't stand a chance.

Lmao Duc is considered the best current player even to roundhouse standards and Wong just bodied him like he was free. I'd take the champ over chumps any day bruh bet.

Mvc2 is a MANS game it was the main event at Evo for years for a reason and Tekken wasn't. Now and days Tekken 7 is meant for babies cuz they added in supers. There's a reason why Tekken players suck at mvc2 they all say it's "too fast". You really are toxic if you think there's only 10 good players. Seems that a good point Storm is key to beating Spiral; I used to think it was a good point Sentinel, but clearly Justin did most of his work with Storm. Got a lot of respect for both of these legends; thanks for posting!
As Sanford demonstrated in the iconic money match, you do not want to be using Sentinel against Spiral.

And they asked him so how Do you find the time to train for third strike also. He laughed and said the first round of the tournament was when he first played in over a year. He's using the nullDC emulator. He may also be using the BEAR launcher for it that basically creates a lobby out of the Radmin sever your on.
