I was thinking the same thing; there are distractions--such as Tom. When "Umbrella" started I saw the male dancers at the beginning, but as soon as Tom came on I couldn't take my eyes off of him. I didn't even notice there were female dancers until the fifth time I watched the video.

He wasn't a pro. He did gymnastics as a kid and gave it up pretty young:
"Garfield said that he almost considered pursuing gymnastics as a career when he was a child.
'That's something that I found myself doing and I had a nice moment with that,' he said. 'I was very young and I realized that it probably wasn't for me at that very young age. There was a moment where I think I was 11 and I came to in consciousness in box splits with a very overweight man sat on my back. I was just like, "This is no place for an 11-year-old..."

@@j.6133 Well, you could argue that Holland trained intensively for Billy Elliot, a paying job, which could be considered professional. My point is that a kid doing gymnastics for a few years, along with a bunch of other sports, before giving it up, isn't exactly in the same tier as Tom Holland who kept it up, even after Billy Elliot, as multiple CZcams,Instagram, and TikTok videos prove. Being able to do a backflip doesn't make Garfield a gymnast. You said Garfield was a pro gymnast when he was really just a kid in a sports-centric household that did it for a few years before realizing it wasn't for him.

What are you trying to prove? lol I'm saying this as a Holland fan, and not a Spider Man fan, I was his fan the moment I saw him in 'Lo Imposible'. It seems like you need to touch some grass.

He was a kid, like many other kids, who did it for awhile and gave it up. Tom Holland kept it up. Also, he did train intensively to do gymnastics as part of a paying job so he technically *was* a
pro as a kid. I doubt Holland was hired to play Spider-Man based on his childhood gymnastics classes. I'm not taking anything away from him as a talent. I loved him in Far From Home (I didn't really like his actual Spider-Man movies though) but to suggest his skills in gymnastics are on the same level as Tom Holland is a stretch.

Anyways, the point is he also did a lot of his stunts because of his background in Gymnastics, swimming as you mentioned and we saw in Tick Tick Boom, Rugby, cricket etc. My comment was to highlight the comparison in training style, which I think I did.

Lip-sync battles have morphed into these over-the-top spectacles that are less about actual lip-synching and more about fancy productions with elaborate costumes and dance choreography. IMO, the best lip-synch battles were on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon with the likes of Paul Rudd, Emma Stone and, yes, Joseph Gordon-Levitt. JGL's impressions of Elton John and Tina Turner were superior to his later portrayal of Janet Jackson on the Lip-Sync Battles show.

Ok, so lip sync battle has been on for years with LL hosting. It was never like this in the beginning. It was just celebrities coming on and lip syncing a song. Then, one Christmas episode, actor Joseph Gordon-Levitt took it up ten notches with his rendition of Rhythm Nation by Janet Jackson and the stakes just started getting higher. There are some where the actual singer shows up mid song.

Not the movie version. The Billy Elliot movie came out 2000. Tom was born 1996, which would make him too young to even be cast in that role. Jamie Bell was cast in that one. But you are right that he has played Billy Elliot, just on the London stage. :)

Zendaya won with her big ass attitude in a verry cool way. Tom Holland won for chocking us and make us forget he is an amazing dancer and athlete. They were both winners by the end of this!
