So true for that line, but to me personally I use it as having a strong mind that won’t give in, will fight and be hard like stone but behind that my heart is still glass & easily shatters despite the strength in my mind. But this is why I love such beautiful lyrics -we can hear them & relate to them personally on different levels
I definitely saw the glass heart as a fragility situation, but it's being attacked by the mind of stone, like a rock through the window. With clinical depression, it's an imbalance in neurotransmitters that causes the depression: essentially, the emotions (glass heart) overwhelmed by the relentless (stone) mind.
I love that interpretation of that line as well. Both fit so perfectly and that is what I love about music and artists with lyricism, the same line can mean so many different things to different people. It is always fascinating to hear how others interpret the same line. Thanks for sharing :)
@@SuffiReax to me, it sounds more like she was having a fragile heart (easily gets heartbroken etc.), But also due to that, she created a mind of stone for herself, like those people who refuses to fall in love anymore just so they would not experience pain or heartbreak again. And they will isolate themselves from the world and from people who cares, pushing them away cuz her brain just doesn't want to risk believing they were truly good to her. Something along that line. Hahahaha

I agree with all you have said. Also, the mind is the control center of the body. When you’re depressed, you feel as if you can’t really get up the energy to do anything, hence a mind of stone, something so heavy to lift and get to working. As always, wonderful and insightful reactions!

little interpretation of the final part (both dissappearing from the box) personally taking into account is based on depression id say the ending is the voices inside the head having the best of it and well we know how that ends, the "hello welcome home" stage after death

Alot of people may disagree with me but I love Khalid ad he kinda reminds me of Tmbaland, only because, you here Khalid kind of come in while she sings and he does some of what I love which is that kind of harmony tone behind hers and it reminds me of how Timbaland does that with One Republics' Apologize.. absolutely love it.
