Although not that i wanted originally, but still - my biggest finished project and bestwork.
After PixelPath got it first hype (was sent legendary at least 7 times), i remembered the proverb: "strike the iron while it's hot". At first i just wanted it to be like 2 times longer, 2 times better, 2 times harder, but something got wrong.
I planned it to be finished at 17 january, because I built the first part in just 5 days, but I overestimated my capabilities. The level got 6 chapters, and i wanted some different idea in each chapter. At 17 january (as you can see) the level wasn't done. Even layout. What i can say about layout is that i tried... really. The first PixelPath gameplay was below bad, and I decided to spend more than 2 days on gameplay. Well, it took almost a month.
I wanted the gameplay to be combined with the decor and the concept of the level later - that is, I had to abandon the usual standard gameplay chips. I wouldn't say that I brought something new to the gameplay, let alone how its disgusting to play (maybe it's just my weak side, I really tried to make it better), so in the end it turned out that you just jump, fall, jump again, and walk.
By February, the first chapter was done, and it's nothing to say about it, except how I decided to implement water using area triggers. Just a forest, nothing special (with a tight jumps to make it look like a demon)
Next part is Electro puzzles, that i had fun with. The first idea that i come to - this spinning thing (2:26) i genuinely don't know how i came up with this, but I am happy with the result. After this i couldn't come up with something else so i just put a fillers puzzles (the rope one is a shame, I didn't know how to bring it into good gameplay at all), I know it turned out to be a hack, but I wanted to start building chapter 3 already, because I had big plans for it.
The third part features the abandoned underground facility atmosphere I had envisioned. I might have overused areatriggers for lamp lighting, but I like the effect. Inspired by Duck Game mechanics, where my brother hilariously threw mines at me, this part took shape.
The next segment, the infamous chase, was heavily criticized for its unreadable layout and unbalanced difficulty. Despite this, it was meant to be a demon. I aimed to create a climactic point that might require you repeat attempts. I am even gonna say that PixelPath II was built for this part (lol).
The story of this spanned over a year. In February 2023, I had a dream where someone said, "now it's hunter's time," and tentacles burst out, chasing me. This inspired a track ( • TNS: Escape OST - Peak... ) originally meant for my project TNS: Escape. While building the layout and experimenting with music in Geometry Dash, I found it fun to use this track. Suddenly, being whitelisted on NewGrounds allowed me to keep it, though I had a backup plan with "Miami Hotline-Vol.3" from the Hi level. The final result was almost exactly as I had envisioned when composing the music.
The part after disassembly time was also filler and has bad gameplay that i remade. I added some basic gimmicks to it, and i think gameplay was ok (still awful).
But unfortunately, everything turned out to be not so great when it came to the decor. It looked VERY BAD. SOOO BAD, that I wanted to abandon this project and leave. I spent almost a month playing dumb (I was doing other projects, a game on unreal engine, and school projects), until suddenly inspiration came to me when i started making the ATM thing (limbo moment). After this i redesigned almost whole background in Midnight Parkour and i guess now it looks kinda ok.
The routine subway ride to college inspired me to make another chapter - the subway. I personally can't say anything about him, I can just say that I tried to transfer all the details that I could extract from the daily experience.
The idea for the chapter of "Morozovka" is also not taken from the ceiling. I have long wanted to make a level with the atmosphere of the post-Soviet winter, especially at night, as it gives me great nostalgia. Initially, it could have been super short, only with the gameplay on ice, but I thought about it and decided that this idea needed to be given a little more attention. I hope I managed to do it.
Ironically, the ending, because of which many people came, was built in 3 days (I just felt motivated to finish it), and so, the idea of a car driving into MoonBank had been in my head for a long time.

The mythical levels may be more than 2, which are what Robtop promised, but they are tremendous gems.
absolutely insane level, i know i already posted about this on twitter but everything in this level is INSANE. the animation for every little thing, even the small details is so good. the sound design is also so incredibly good that at times i even forgot it was geometry dash. the robot centipede (?) chase was also SO FUN although it was a lot harder than everything else before and after it in my opinion. the midnight parkour part is absolutely insane as well??? you got the neon aesthetic mixed in with the other tech/robot style perfectly and it all just feels so clean. it's sometimes hard to distinguish what's real and what's fake, especially in the parachute part, but either way its REALLY GOOD. my favorite part definitely has to be the train though, there is so much attention to detail with EVERYTHING, and every little animated part feels like im actually in a speeding train, and that i actually am PULLING it to a stop with the emergency brake (the sound design and visual part for that is so good by the way HOW did you do that) The last part in what I can assume is russia is absolutely stunning and I love the zipline function. its all just so good. i've already said about how much i love the end animation so ill just end my comment here. sorry for it being so long this level is just really good :)

Смотрео шоукейс у Нексуса. Когда увидел станцию "Морозовка", подумал, что скорее всего лвл строил русский человек. Зашёл в описание и меня тут же пробили воспоминания. На своём стриме, увидев, что ко мне зашёл человек с довольно качественным уровнем(я посмотрел pixelpath), меня это приятно удивило. НО ЧТОБ ТЫ БЫЛ НАСТОЛЬКО КРУТ

Hey a player of this level here, the potato mode works but when you get past the fan that lifts you up it still crashes I would recommend adding less detail to the boss run but it’s up to you :)

For me "DisASSembly time" is the hardest part mostly because of two things:
1. If you'll can't do third jump immediately after the second one (it'll take more than 0.1 sec and it will look like you skid, if take this like a race track) right fang of this first metallic worm just won't let you pass through and kill you, even if worm didn't touch cube (you can see using "Practice" mode, when you skid that fang hit you through the "floor");
2. After you pass three platform, got into the vent, passed that (oh my gosh I really spent a lot of time and tries because of this freaking thing) landmine and even used first dash, you may not pass using second dash because of worms from both sides, approaching without warnings.
But honestly even this don't confuse so much like start of last 6th part because there's no any hint about where to go or at least how to use fence properly. Even understanding you need to climb on that streetlight you just stuck after overjamping wire and die, thinking you hit the ground too much, that's really confusing because before this here was nothing same in the whole level.
After I spent some tries on that "time" I remember about Coaster Mountain and those 5 hours and around 1,5k tries I spent on the last part of it (this shares some of same problems) and this made me sad because I don't wanted to spent so much on this level, even knowing this one has totally same difficult (medium demon) and same weather season (winter).
But anyway I had fun completing this (ending is really fire). The only thing I would say to the author: Уровень отличный, но ёперный театр я почти стол сломал проходя его, а т.к. после того уровня, что я уже упомянул, он и так еле живой, то... думаю ты сам понимаешь. Но всё равно спасибо)

Если честно - я написал лишь о том, что сам встретил и что лично мне прям "ставило палки в колёса" (хотя скорее прям ломало эти колёса нафиг, но да ладно), т.ч. это может быть не всё, однако всё остальное настолько хорошо что, как мне кажется, уровень заслуженно стоит назвать идеальным - и красивый, и в меру сложный.
Желаю удачи, а ещё больше - терпения, т.к. страшно даже представить сколько это занимает делать настолько крутые уровни (вспоминая, что сам в своё время попытался построить, понимаю что лучше останусь игроком, т.к. рукопоп тот ещё).

Great level, but the items are really hard to find. I still don't know where they are after watching the video. Deco and sound design is amazing, and gameplay is also really fun albeit a little unbalanced. I'll probably go back for all coins when I learn where the last item is, but until then, I just wanted to say congratulations on the mythic rating!

Can you fix the newest bug(I know so many mobile bugs and now it crashes at the atm machine in full detail(chase part runs fine on my phone) I know it is probably annoying that every time you fix a bug in this game, a new one comes along later on. I made a game on scratch and had to fix many bugs and every fix would create a new bug. But this game(I will call it a game instead of a level) is really fun and cool. I couldn’t make something like this in any programming language and you made it in gd? Nice!
I don’t think pixelpath III will be out for a while(probably not until next year or maybe not at all) but if it is coming up, I can’t even imagine how good it will be. And this level will probably be added to the map in 2.21 too

Train part is so easy on mobile just butterfly click it works 100% of the time. Also, my game started crashing at the chase sequence after the level update is this a common issue with high performance or is it just my device?

@@zyd2618 i cant give tips for gameplay but for art style use objects that are not necessarily intended for this purpose, but are simply similar in order to create a picture
This level is absolutely amazing! However, I don't understand how I can move the lever while pulling. I press the touchscreen as quickly as I can. (Play it on mobile.)

this level is absolutely incredible but the game will crash on random moments for no reason. I don’t think it’s an ldm issue, my game runs fine, it happens on rlly random moments. I hope u fix these “bugs” cuz otherwise this is one of my favorite platformers. :)

@@AwiXan it would just do it all over the place, most frequently the beginning of the chase sequence. the weird things is that these will happen on some playthroughs and it won't happen on others
