- Adil ‘ScreaM’ Benrlitom was once one of Counter-Strike’s most frightening talents.
He was a mechanical god, he possessed aim like no other, and he could find a headshot in a heartbeat. ScreaM was supposed to be a Counter-Strike god, but he didn’t reach the heights that many expected of him.
And when his career looked to be winding down, Valorant allowed him to hit the reset button. And now, The Headshot Machine is back at the top.
This is The Rise, Fall and Rise Again of ScreaM.

I've seen all those clips of him thousand times... but the way ScreaM hypes you it's simply unique.
Adding nivera turn this team around , his decision making was on point, and how he support the team, it also allow scream to go wild as a duelist without worrying if he got killed early or not.
Scream is one of the most cursed pros, i really wish he finds success in valorant
yup he has potential but a lot of the teams didn't know how to use his playstyle.

He isnt cursed just all aim but nothing els thats why he didnt do well in csgo were everybody is smarter and also has equal or even better aim . Valorant is new so no body knows wtf the are doing . So insane aim looks better . As a game gets older and peopl find out the optimal way to play so less effrctive aim becomes .

@@xythiera7255 i doubt he would fall off in valorant. the reason why in cs his aim became irrelevant is because of the nature of cs utilities, everyone has the same util and the lineup and usage are almost limitless. However, in valorant, util is split into different categories and simplified into abilities, making it far easier to use, thus scream would also likely be able to match up with the so called "optimal way" to play
I remember when I found out about scream back in 2015 and I used to watch him everytime before hopping into cs mm and it really helped me to improve in the game. Hope he gets the W on the upcoming tournament.

I DONT LIKE VALORANT. BUT I CAME HERE FOR THE HEADSHOT MACHINE!. Been a fan since his glory days in CSGO
Been watching him since CS, been a big fan, and now seeing him playing in the Champions of valorant...just hits differently
scream was a difficult player to build a CS team around. and the French shuffles made it hard for him to cement a role in a team. my all time favorite player. back in the source days on very then titan he was a god

Scream was so good that valve had to nerf him by removing gun first shot accuracy. As result, the game meta changed from accuracy to spraying. After this change, scream struggled. Im so glad for scream that hes now doing well in another game. Hopes for only the best for adil
Scream's+ aim was never bad. He was good back in cs, because when the game is new the aimmers prevail and dominate the game, tactics are not that well-known to everybody and you can counter them after you get screwed a few times. When cs became a lot popular and played by a lot, not only that he probably lost some motivation, but game was becoming more and more complex, and tactics start to matter a lot more. If he learnt that from cs times, he probably will have a pretty long valorant career, if not, he will be outgunned by others.
If CSgo was new for him, it was new for everybody else too. He defeated people who were there since 1.6. The numbers he put up were never bad even during 2018. The worst strike of his career was when he was kicked from G2 without any valid reason, since he was the MVP and the star player of G2. He said it himself that the news came to him as a surprise because he never expected that. From that day, his confidence somewhat seemed falling as he didn't take the fights that we knew he'd have won 90% of the time. Even during his last days in csgo, he was still popping off. The problem was the inability of teams to use his potential properly.

@@fluph90 Perhaps u didn't read properly what I wrote. I never wrote about fragging alone. I specifically mentioned about teams that couldn't use his potential. In an interview, he himself said that he was being given roles that didn't fit his playstyle. Would a team send get_right to get an opening frag every round? Of course no since he's a lurker, not an entry fragger. ScreaM also said that his strongest positions were being taken away by other teammates and positions that involved risk (read info gathering) were given to him. Being an entry fragger, such positions weren't suitable for him. He began losing his confidence to take open duels like he used to during his early days. Furthermore, in envyus, the team relations weren't very good regarding the matches. They were having personal issues and several other problems that couldn't be solved properly. They did achieve some success with envy, but the early exit from Eleague majors 2018 was a big blow to the team. Also if u download and watch the matches of envy you'll find a big difference since he had to change his entire play style to adapt to something he wasn't comfortable with.
@@lighty6401 my opinion is that scream is just not a smart csgo player, he is just a good aimmer. He made some dumb plays in the end of his g2 days and then disappeared in tier2-3. Look at niko or simple, same caliber aim but with a lot of csgo knowledge and gamesense.
@@fluph90 He's like a scalpel, a very specialized tool. He's probably didn't care much about tactic and line up because he's really confident with his aim thus made big teams afraid of signing him since his utility is low. You need an org and team mates that can utilized his 1 dimensional play. Valorant also perfect for him since spraying is punished by random nrg.

It was not even his fault he didn't achieve much in CS, he is one of the unluckiest players in the scene. Still rooting for Liquid in Champions, they look insane and the 'edshot masheen is back

@@taylorpinkman5174 When he was in Kinguin, Fox blew it all up then eventually Dennis leaving for NiP as the rest of the team just jumped the ship leaving ScreaM behind. It won't be long until the French shuffle strikes again and the rest of his downward career happens. Then Valorant exist, so now he is back but with a BETTER team (plus he is playing with his own brother Nivera). ScreaM is a great player but his own teammates are too greedy. Now Dennis (the 2nd star player) is retired, Fox is retired, the rest...not so much. French egos is too big to utilize ScreaM's talent so they kept on shuffling after every BIG tournament loses. Well now they (the French) have Zywoo so at least it kept things in check, for now.

I don't know why i've randomly thought of this and it's kinda out of topic, but ScreaM reminds me of James Harden in NBA. Harden never won a championship just like ScreaM, yet they both have very special talents; ScreaM is a great Aimer/Fragger while James Harden is a crazy Sharpshooter who scores more than 30 points in a game(in his prime). My conclusion here is that, every sports whether it's physical or digital, there is always that one person who's super talented yet suffers the curse of not winning any championships (For now).
