Thank you for this video. I hope Lisa reads this message. I am a 5th generation rancher's daughter from Hawaii. However, I don't call myself a rancher or cowgirl because I feel like I've yet to earn that title. Thirteen years ago, I took on my family's ranch and slaughterhouse because, as a mother myself, I realized the immense value of it and didn't want it to die in my generation. It bothered me that over 90 percent of the beef raised in Hawaii is shipped out of state. I wanted to ensure that my family had the best, highest quality, and most nutritious food to feed them, while also preserving the cultures of small island life and ultimately my family's legacy. Despite losing my brother, who helped me with everything, and battling all the changing forces and challenges of time, women like Lisa truly inspire me that I can do it. She never complains once in her circumstances, and that's what I love about people like her-they don't make excuses or complain. They just keep taking on the challenges one step at a time. God bless you, Lisa.

Coming back to local food is absolutely critical! The "they" (whoever they are) are working really hard to divide & conquer. Focusing on our community, to build up & build together CAN bring us back to a family-centered, productive, prosperous, inter-dependent & yet self-sufficient nation. People like all of you here can make this happen!

    Mornin' Trinity 🤠
What an awesome day with Lisa you brought to us❣️
She's certainly "doing it" !!! (and I'm sure Steve is right there with her!!)
I can empathize with her loss of a partner and husband... You did not say how long it has been since Steve passed, (given the talk about drought years, I surmised its been at least 5 years), but Lisa has pulled up her boot straps and jumped into the ranch with both feet and done an amazing job!!!
I have a farm (only 20 acres - which is relatively small compared to Montana ranches) and lost my husband suddenly almost 7 years ago. We had been married 40 years at the time..
It's funny how people don't realize just WHAT having some land and livestock means..
when my husband passed, the most asked question everyone wanted to know was "when are you going to sell the farm and move to town? " ....yeah, that's not going to happen!!
It's not easy to carry on alone, but you do it...one day at a time, one foot in front of the other.. if you can't do something, you figure out a way to get 'er done!
I'm in my 70's now, still work the part time job I've been at for 22 years off the farm, and manage to get daily chores done, feed hauled and put up and livestock cared for...
KUDOS TO LISA!!! I wish her all the best for many years to come!!! 🇺🇲BUY LOCAL🇺🇲
    Thanks again, Trinity....
    Safe travels, friend ❤❤
    Stay FROSTY...
Keep your powder dry and your head on a swivel...

Very warm in the winter and surprisingly not really uncomfortable in the summer. I remember others asking how I could wear a winter jacket in the summer but living next to Lake Michigan it came in pretty handy more often than not. Besides if it got too warm I simply took it off.
