  • Hi everyone,
    Welcome back to our channel.
Do you know that feeling? Of restlessness? We have that every time we go back to our daily lives in the Netherlands. Don't get us wrong, our daily work is fine, but it is even nicer to go back to the bush. This is our 10th time going back to South Africa and each time it becomes more difficult to return home. People sometimes ask, there is much more to see than just South Africa and they are right, only South Africa and especially wildlife attracts us. It's wonderful to be in their world, not knowing what awaits you around every corner. That is pure magic and tranquility for us. If you also love this magic, then this film is for you!
After a long flight of 11 hours from the Netherlands to Johannesburg airport, we arrived at 9:30 PM. The first night we will spend the night in a hotel very close to the airport. we don't even have to leave the airport. This is wonderful, the next morning we pick up our rental car at the same airport, only one deck below and we set off to our first new location.
Our first location was Marakele National
Park. We were here for 3 days, which is actually long enough. Beautiful park, Tlopi tents are in a great location on the water. A wonderful place to relax and unwind. There are not many directions you can go in terms of roads in the park. But for bird watching, scenery and rhinos you have come to the right place. The park is divided into two sections, a part without Big Five and a part with Big Five. Tlopi tented camp is located in the Big Five section.
Next new location for us was Mapungubwe National Park. Mapungubwe is magical, as soon as we entered we were welcomed by beautiful baobabs and elephants. Mapungubwe is also divided into two parts, we were in the part where the houses were located. The campsites section is a 45 minute drive from this section. You first drive out of the park, drive for 45 minutes and then you enter the park again for another part. The camping area is rougher with a beautiful hide. But for the highlights of Mapungubwe we were in the right section. the tree top walk, confluence look out, a drive near the rivers, it was awesome. We also stayed here for 3 days. And in our opinion, definitely worth checking out.
We will spend our last 10 days in Kruger National Park. We drive through the park from North to South and start in Punda Maria and the beautiful Pafuri area. I think Pafuri is the most beautiful part of the Park. The stay in Punda Maria is basic. We stayed in the terraced houses near the road. Small, but fine for 2 nights. They also have a beautiful hide on the camping area where we were lucky enough to see a fantastic elephant/buffalo show on both evenings. Next stops were Mopani rest camp and Satara rest camp. Satara is always special because of the famous S100 road and afcourse Casper the white lion. And we ended in Marloth Park, at I think I can say our dear friends from Foxy Crocodile Bush retreat. This is our 5th time ending up there. Kruger National Park is also easy to reach from Marloth; you can reach the Crocodile Bridge gate in 15 minutes.
Kruger National Park remains a wonderful place to come home to.

Prachtige beelden, wij gaan in augustus naar ZA en vroeg me af waar je deze beelden mee gefilmd hebt?
Ben nog op zoek naar iets om mee te filmen als we daar zijn, puur voor ons zelf.

What is the greenish bird drinking at 9:22?

We are amateurs when it comes to birds. But I think it is a glossy Starling and a yellow-bellied greenbull. But not 100 % sure.

Do you know what the sad part about what I am seeing HUMANS will destroy all this beautiful senary/animals purely for profit they 100% look the other way when it comes to poachers there's nobody protecting the animals what a sad world 🌎 we live in. 😢 if NO PROFIT Animals would be perfectly safe
