  • The relationship between God's grace and our salvation is essential to the good news of Jesus Christ!
    Ephesians 2:8-9 (ESV)
    8 For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, 9 not a result of works, so that no one may boast.

    Such a good reminder to new believers and old. We need to stop thinking we earn our salvation somehow. It is a gift given to us by God our Father. Christmas is the celebration of grace brought to life, Jesus Christ. Thank you.

    Thank you for your faithful teaching. I have always been taught GRACE AS Gods Righteousness At Christ’s Expense - as in we are made right with God at Christ’s expense. But I like Riches as well, thank you for your podcasts enjoy starting my day with one.

    Thank God for His Grace, such an immeasurable gift! The first hymn we had at our wedding in October 1983 was Amazing Grace. Sums it up perfectly...
    Thanks again, Peter! God bless.

    Ephesians 2:8-9 is about receiving justification, not receiving salvation. Salvation is attained at the end ❤

    Do you have to feel something significant to believe in god? I really want to believe but I just feel empty, like a fake when I listen to these podcasts and try to pray.

    • @Ducttaper4JC2
      @Ducttaper4JC2 Před 4 lety

      Feelings are indicators, not controllers... while feeling empty may indicate that something is wrong, it doesn't control whether or not you have faith. And your feelings indicating that something is wrong could be anything from something being wrong with the receptors in your brain (i.e. chemical depression) to indicating that there's something keeping you from fully believing. They don't show just one thing, so only you can really figure out what they're telling you.

    That is NOT of yourself is so clear that whole salvation is NOT of you.. In any similar sentence :"THAT" would be in regards to whole previous explanation of salvation.. I went to the school today and THAT is not because of my dog Rex... Does that mean Rex gave me a ride to school?.. Nooo.. But you would need to be a fool to make that word gymnastic just to be opposed to the Word of God.
