Monday was great freestyle wrestler, but it is -74 weight class, usual for him. For one year, Arsen Fadzaev jumpted through several catecories, from -68 . in his usual weight he was the best and no one could took a one(!) score from him in three woprld championships(1986, 1990, 1991).
Man, I don't know who was coaching Kenny from the corner but you'd think he'd have more constructive things to say! Also, why wasn't he in that ref's face for the choke? Finally, Monday has to be one of our most underrated wrestlers when you consider how he beat the all-time greats like Schultz and Fadzaev!
Word! Did you know that one of the keys to being an excellent wrestler is having a normal name. The more common the name of the wrestler the better they usually are(Cael Sanderson is one of the strange anomalies to this rule).
I just read Wrestler1985's comments and I appreciate that. I recall Monday was at 163 and I was wonderin what he was doing down at Fadzaev's weight class. To think Fadzaev whent up a weight to wrestle him! I didn't know Fadzaev had ever lost in international competition. What a great, great tacnician!
Then a bunch of coaches from Seattle went to lunch and Kenny was the only black guy in the diner and the waitress said I dont serve n word but Kenny did not get lose his cool but this was Seattle in the 1990,s not the derp south but the Russians called him the puma because he was so tough he destroyed Shultz in the match to get to the olympics
randy jackson He wrestled up. Back in HS if my coach had a stud at a weight and the other team had a fish at the same weight but a stud at the next higher weight he wouldn't hesitate to move his stud up to the higher weight to face their stud. The only reason he never sent me the wrestle up a weight class was because I wrestled heavyweight. 😁
@@QueekHeadtaker No worries.....I didn't even notice Monday tapping until I ready your reply! Fadzaev didn't look like much, but he was strong as heck!
Yeah your right it couldn't of been that Monday trained harder or performed better. It couldn't be that instead of going the easy route and quitting he did one more drill. His hard work means nothing he's black and that's the reason he won.

don't forget about the 83, 85, and olympics in 88..all which he won.

monday's defense was just too fast. Incredible sprawl
This was a great win for Monday. Fadzaev is one of the Russian greats.
Огромное уважение Арсену.
Well, technically you can cal Fadzaev a choker, that's why Monday was tapping the mat earlier
Kenny was the best ever at this guy had never been beaten I met him at a clinic and I grabbed his leg to see how tough he was
Fadzaev moved up to 163 to wrestle Monday in this match ? Monday was at 163 in 2 Olympics, Fadzaev was at 149 in 2 Olympics that he gold medaled
I was such a Big Fan of Kenny M. great Conditioned wrestler. He never stopped for fatigue late in matches.
He tapped out at 40 seconds from the front-headlock
It’s crazy what satiev did to Monday. I think that was satiev’s at his best.
I was just pointing it out; thought it was a good front headlock.
sweet win
started off slow but finished great

Burroughs reminds me a lot of Monday...
I do too. They're both black
Для меня самый великий борец
Как борец? Как тренер и приёмы его!
dang dog. Monday was animal.

Fadzaev always was a choker. No room for that in wrestling. Not with the intent he had. It diminished him.
Олимпийский чемпион в 74кг. Кенни
I know lol I was just messing around you know giving you a hard time ha
Фадзаев легче а Кени выше и тяжелее это видно
Фадеев достойно выступил
Fadzaev Osetin
А Кенди-негр.
Ya I say Kenny was the best ever at 163 or busavier satiev
Сайтиев
Fadzaev best!
Арсен фадзаев
I once read that Arsen was a habitual cigarette smoker! Can anyone verify this?
4.47 He's tapping the mat. What's that all about?
His way of telling the ref to stand them back up because nothing was happening.
@@scottlenahan5711 wrong, he's signalling to the referee that he is being choked, in the hopes that the ref stops the position.
@@QueekHeadtaker I thought he was talking about when Monday was in top position and Fadaev was tapping the mat
@@scottlenahan5711 you are correct, the timestamp is definitely referencing that sequence and not the opening of the match. I was wrong.

Идите вы американцы
he lost

Фадзаев. МЕШОК . Слабак короче .
