For me, any device with no expandable storage is a downgrade and a dealbreaker. I only got my Note 10+ last year from Samsung's pre-owned system but its been the best device I've ever used. Does everything I need. The only thing I can see the S22 Ultra doing that it doesnt is the high refresh rate, and that alone isnt worth 1000+ dollars. I'd rather get a Note 20 Ultra if I was to upgrade.

    @iamonyoutube Před 2 lety +25

I am holding on to my Note 10 + for sure. Expandable memory, slim profile, great battery (I never crank up brightness and use it at FHD, which easily gives me 10+ full day battery). In addition, as you mentioned, I am still getting all the S-Pen features + going to get another year of firmware and security updates plus One UI 4.1 is fantastic. So, I'm holding on to a paid off phone (completed my term in Sep 2020), so I don't see any need for upgrading to S22 Ultra.

Still rocking the note 10 lite 256 gb for 3 years now. Had the note 4 before that and loved it too. It's the perfect size for my small hands. Replaced the battery about 6 months ago. Still works perfect. No cracks or damage. I can get $800 on a trade for a S22plus now. After doing research I decided to keep the Note. It's been amazing and I don't buy phones for a better camera. The note camera is good.
The phones are just getting too big to safely carry in pockets or small hands. The note 10 lite and s22 plus are good sizes. Just not enough improvement in 3 years to "upgrade" a great phone yet.

  • @THE_ELFITOS

As a Note 10+ user since it's launch, I still like it a lot but there's one thing to take in consideration that you've didn't mentioned and it's the resale value. Right now I can sell my Note 10+ for about 500$ CAD and the S22 Ultra is about 2000$ CAD so I'm paying 1500$ to upgrade now. If I wait next year for the S23 Ultra, my Note 10+ might only worth 150$ since there won't be updates anymore at this time and I doubt the S23 Ultra will be cheaper than the S22 Ultra. So I'll save now to keep it another year, but I might lose what I've saved if I change it only when it worth almost nothing. I don't know when it's the best time to take advantage of that resale value, but for sure it's to take in consideration too.

Note 10 plus has never felt like it was lacking to me in any way. I'm going to hold on to it for another year or two. There's no major innovation with the ultra, or change to form factor that makes the ultra a must have for me. I have my eye on the galaxy fold moving forward..
An internal spen, thinner device, and thinner design is what I'm waiting on there.
Still super happy with my note, it crushes all tasks with ease. We also are no longer saying huge leaps in display technology as displays have been amazing for years. These phones have just gotten so good. ... It's hard to justify an upgrade.

You forgot to mention one important thing (imo). The Note 10 Plus main camera has dual physical aperture, meaning you can change it from f/1.5 to f/2.4. My main business is selling collectible cards and the wider aperture of this new phones makes it impossible for me to take pics of this cards because it will give too much bokeh to the point it becomes useless to me when I want to show the corner or edges of the mentioned cards so customers can see the conditions. The optional f/2.4 aperture of the Note 10 Plus is one of the best things that has ever happened to me phone-wise. Idk why no one is implementing this fantastic technology

Still Rockin' the Note 10+ 256Gb after 3 years. Can't believe I paid it off a year ago, seems like it was only yesterday. I actually have had two of them, and the other was the Note 10+ 5G 512Gb, which had a failure on the Antenna after about 1 year, very disappointing. How does an Antenna even fail? It's an internal component, and the phone was in near mint condition.
Broken phone experience aside, these were both my favorite Smartphones to date. Was considering the generous trade in value towards the Z Fold 4 right now, but would really miss the palmable 10+ and silo'd S pen. I just don't want to carry around an external S pen, but it's a favorite feature of these things!!!

I have both the 512g Note 10+ & 512g S22 Ultra & really love them both.. Battery life is what I was after, I like to watch downloaded movies while outdoors, browse, etc. Battery life is about the same as the Ultra.
My battery life went to crap after the 12 Update. So maybe the next update will fix performance. 🤞
I am getting awesome antenna feeds w/ the 22 Ultra!
Where I was getting 4g? I'm now getting 5g & LTE+ where I was getting LTE before. I park in the same spot in the woods where I live..
The Photos & Brighter Display was my main reason for getting the Ultra & I wasn't disappointed! Ultra takes beautiful wildlife pics! Zoom feature also!
My Note 10+ is more S-Pen Responsive than the Ultra. I'm obviously keeping my Note 10+. It feels so tiny & much lighter in my hands. This Ultra has some heft to it & I like that. Plus the smooth 120h.
I don't like this Neo Hybrid Spigen Case. It's slippery in my hand. The Note 10+ is a Killa phone in 2022. Like you so greatly stated, "you really don't have to upgrade, wait another year." If you have trouble reading signs far away or have issues seeing your kid playing in a sports setting, you'll appreciate the zoom capabilities. Battery life is meh, so far, but it takes time for your battery to learn your usage. After almost 3 years of using the Note 10+, I've started to dislike curved edges (I'm probably in the minority). I can't see myself using the same look-alike device for another 3 years. Writing on my Note 4 and 5 felt better somehow. I think I'll wait and see what Samsung does next, or maybe I'll try the S22+ as I really like the design. Great comparison.

I don't jump devices that often and tend to look at multiple things when I do. My last 2 devices were the Note 3 and the Sansumg edge. And I bought the edge, because my note 3 broke. Literally, it fell and broke in half. That was my best phone ever. Now, I switched to the note 10+ because the edge was reallyyyy showing its age and I felt like it was time to upgrade since I didn't want to do a custom built OS just to upgrade its performance. I can honestly say, I love the note 10plus and I don't see myself upgrading it for any of the newer models anytime soon. Especially if they don't have expandable memory! Who was the genius who thought of not adding it!?!!?!?!? If I do, it would be a Note 20 ultra but not having 256G of internal memory kinda sucks.

Zero display degradation, it looks and runs like it was new (always case protected). Projected lifespan, another 2-3+ years.

The problem for me is the trade in factor, the longer I wait to trade in the less I get for my Note10 plus so if I wait for the next best thing I will have to pay full price by then my Note 10 plus will probably be worth $100 and at that price I may as well keep it as a backup. The other factor is the experience, you only live once and missing out on the latest and greatest for most people lacks meaning in life like capturing your kid's soccer game with the 10x optical zoom I already own 2 binoculars a Nikon extreme 10x50 and a Pentax 20x60 both great but big and bulky and expensive so they stay home however with the Samsung s22 ultra I have the power of the sun in the palm of my hand.

Picked up the S22 Ultra and let me say for what Samsung is charging for this phone and what it lacks, I am seriously disappointed. What brain trust that getting rid of SD card support was a good idea and unless you are all about taking pics of the freaking Moon, there isn't a huge jump in camera tech for my usage. The Note 10 Plus looks better, feels better in the hand, the soeakers sound better and the performance differences are negligible for my use. The Note 10 Plus is a Rock Star that Samsung finally got right and it holds it's own against this over priced priced, over hyped, sorry 128 gb riding heavy so called flag ship. Got a nice wireless charger and will ride with my Note 10 Plus until something truly better comes out. For the first time ever I seriously considered a brand switch.
