Thanks for the Vintage Gleaner Ad. Had a M2 in the late 90’s, what a great machine for our farm. This Commercial made me miss my old M2. Early N Series had some issues, later rotary machines were as good as anything else.

We sold Allis-Chalmers Gleaner tractors & combines in southwest Kansas in Elkhart. What killed Allis-Chalmers is the union in Milwaukee factory workers wages making at the time way more than normal, Allis-Chalmers decided to sell to a Germany company named Deutz and an Era of Americans farm industry was changed. For the good, absolutely not. My dad's business proved the need for Allis-Chalmers fine products, as well as our ability to provide our customers with outstanding service and low sells price to help keep the lower budget farmers alive and living they're American Dream. Prices of Combines & Tractors are simply out of control. A change in our government is needed to bring the American Farmer Dream back to the American Farmer. Not going to get into politics but anybody with they're head out of they're asses can see who and what needs to happen in our political scene. Fantastic life is being an American Farmer and it was a pleasure working with the farmers of the southwest Kansas area. I'm Brian Cameron son of Joe Cameron and I approve this message. LOL 😆

Nothing beats the N series, they were a revolution.

Only when they were running. lol I know all abought the N series, my dad had 8 of them from '80-'88, they almost killed him at only 45 years old.

@@gleanerman2195 The later series N combines around here seemed to hold up well. There were N6's still going in the area until maybe 10 years ago, when the dealers left so did they. Even so there are still a few around..... very few.

They called these Silver Seeders the N series because they always Needed repair!! Nothing like the great 87 green stripes!!!

Great video! We had an early model M2 back when, and it was a corn eating machine. (I'd still rather have a 1460 than a N6 though.....)

Gleaner was king in the 70s and just killed its self in the 80s

IMO Management and government policies of the 70's killed Allis-Chalmers in the 80's.
