My Review of the PNPT's PEH Course

- In this video I'll walk you through the topics covered in the PEH course and I'll share with you the things I like and the things that could be improved. I'm not done yet with the course, only 60% done, so this review is of what I've experienced so far in the course. I hope it provides value to you.
Is there any difference between the PEH course material on their academy and youtube channel?
TCM has good courses. Definitely recommend them. I started taking their courses as well. I'm taking the same course as well. Yes, you need fundamentals. Otherwise you will get lost.
Heath is a good teacher. So far I enjoy the course. Do you plan to go for the PNPT anytime soon?

what kind of fundementals?
I loved the HTB idea. i never even thought of using that for lab and skills building. I cant wait to get to that point.

Where are you currently at in your journey and what’s your goal?
So far I've been in tech for 7 years, it specifically for 3, have my A+ and Sec+ and just starting shadowing our security team where i work now. So definitely still in the beginning, but i have a super good starting point! Eventually, i'd love to blue team during the week, then have a super comfy homelab garage set up for friends to come over and red team on some bugs late into the weekend nights@@destinationpentester

I kind of got lost when I started with it a few months ago, i took a separate Networking Course and now im just getting back to it.
Same. I stopped and began to study some web app security since the course load is really light on it. I’m going through the bwapp project and have learned tons already.

eJPTv2 vs PJPT wich is better for starting level certification??
Job perspective ✅
Both are beginners friendly certificate. PJPT is recently released and better than eJPTv2. So go for PJPT. Don't expect job with these both certification though.
For Job perspective, I suggest OSCP. But PNPT gives you great penetration testing skills could be useful to crack the interview.

Agreed, from a job perspective the OSCP is the one to get at least in the US.

I think it's a clever offering. I wouldn't get it but I can see how it can benefit people who have the technical skills but don't get past the first interview. What do you think?

did you pass the exam?
Haven’t taken it yet. I paused my studying to study web app security since I felt pretty weak in that area. Once I’m done I will come back and finish this
