I could listen to this song over and over again. It is so...god, what is the right word? It makes me feel like I'm jumping out of my body and am at peace. I love it when a song sounds so good that every piece of it is in perfect sync and makes me forget about my life. Fantastic track, absolutely perfect.
This song is a perfect compliment to "Zwara," which also uses an Eastern sound. While "Zwara" employs Juno Reactor's typically fast pace, however, this work goes in the complete opposite direction; settling into a trance-like rythm which succeeds in no lesser degree to carry the listener on a delerious journey.
Oí este tema por primera vez hace bastantes años y sentí lo mismo... UN viaje casi en trance que después he vuelto a escuchar y escuchar. Me fascinan ésa composición de sonidos...
haha you 2 are cool, i love abstraction and associative thought... thanks for sharing. Also i dont know if solaris the script was an inspiration, but this makes me want to move back to the past. Solaris is one of my favorites, thank you for posting this monochrome. now i hjust have to get permission to use it in the presentation i should be working on ;)
I don't even know how this song started playing...I was listening to something else before this and I thought it was Pandora playing. Hmm. But I LOVE it! :)
Me too! And in some rason I even thought abot scene of expedition to the ruins of citiies of burned sandy Kharack... Such empty and dead, lost in sand now...
@MichaeloPL Depends... The lineup is never set, so it really changes from album to album and even song to song. I would recommend all of their albums only because they literally defies classification outside of the broad stroke of "Electronic" and even then, they use a lot of instruments, not just instrument voices plugged into a synth. I've heard that these provide excellent psychedelic trips for those that are chemically inclined, but I'm not one of them.
More than a song, this could be defined a musical 'piece'. Trance-new age, more or less. Something slightly anatolian, with a sprimkle of cosmic. Interesting.
The name of the movie and the book is CALLED SOLARIS silly! When you look at this picture, it kind of looks like a space station over a colorful weird kind of planet? Which is what Solaris was about.
@ApertureScienceDBA psychill or even psymbient stands well, some kind of electronic masterpiece, with slight resemblence to shpongle in the beginning. (makyo came to my mind as well.)
there is no such thing as country culture its human culture i guess depends on the instruments and its scale u can say its from that part of the world non the less we human have invented it and know the science and understanding behind it
@monochromidxliquid @monochromidxliquid please don't. I love this music and I have played this video too many times to remember. I would very disappointed if one day I found out I am unable to watch your videos anymore.
This track is absolutely transcendent, I get chills every time I listen.

Me parece un viaje chamánico
Pongo los altavoces y me dejo envolver por este sonido chamánico que puedo escuchar una y otra vez...
Ghandi called the sound of this type of flute, "The voice of the dead." It moved him greatly.
Juno Reactor, building universes since 1990
Definitely a trip high

Or by typing " /Index of Juno Reactor " in google - sometimes there are sites where you can download the songs.
does Juno Reactor have more songs like these? this is monstrous!
I usually listen to juno when i reading Lem books. Maybe Solaris was an inspiration for Ben Watkins?
it is AWESOME
You should read the book Solaris, was the song inspired by the book?
@speier It's off of Shango released in 2000.
If you like it, check out Nomadic Code by Conjure One, it's quite similar style.
perfect for a recovery sunday

Any relation to the novel Solaris by Stanislaw Lem? Artwork has some implications.
What genre is it? Goa trance?
this picture is moving durig this video - isn`t it ?
It's not a recorder nor an Indian flute. It's a Japanese flute. The shakuhachi.
This song reminds me of my trip to the Himalayas and karakorum, can anyone tell me songs like this?
Thank you
@kbilsky The best non-english SF writer, might I add!
where can i find this track?
مستحييل
is this from a movie/game? if so, what from??
Sorry for mistakes...
@beakerwizard Yes, Lem had a pretty incisive look into humanity with it... too bad the movie in 02 kinda killed it.
Sounds like the ambience from Myst or Riven.
@Chrispanatha google youtube to mp3
@ApertureScienceDBA psychill or downtempo.. let's not discuss what is it, it's great.
I have experimentally found this to be true.
juno reactor "shango" album
