Simpson was born on July 9, 1947, and raised in Potrero Hill, a low-income neighborhood near San Francisco. His mother, Eunice, worked as an orderly at a psychiatric ward, and his father, Jimmy Lee, worked as a cook and custodian in a private club. The area is now the first project in the Plan, 1101 Connecticut Avenue, which consists of 71 new homes and was opened in May 2019. Once the final of five construction and development phases is completed in 2034, the Potrero Hill Master Plan add between 1,400 and 1,700 new homes to the neighborhood, 65% of which will be affordable. O.J. Simpson passed away 4/11/24 from cancer...

Interesting, I did not know that.. thank you for sharing. I lived in an apartment on Potrero Hill for a while but didn't really get to know the area.

No worries! I lived on the hill just around the corner from OJ when I was in my teens. As you can see they’re starting to move out the projects and put up new housing

Thank you, Lorna. I appreciate your comment. I was raised just around the corner from him. My family and I lived here for about 20 years. It's better now than it used to be.
