    I started building stuff for extra money in the past couple of months and purchased alot of Bauer products. Until now every tool is holding up great.

    So initial quality looks good. Would be interesting to see a 6 month follow-up review to see how durable they are.

    The fact the saw has a dust port is worth investing in, my $200 Bosch doesn't even have that... lol

      Lol Thanks Tom. I didn't get to see if it worked because i don't have an adaptor for the shop vac. Thanks for watching buddy.

    Great video as always! I have heard nothing but good things about the bauer line, I just wish HF had a better warranty. I have been in the market for a new jig saw for quite a while so this is a very timely video, I am going to have to consider the bauer now- thank you!

    • @Woodcraft716
      @Woodcraft716  Před 2 lety +3

      Thanks Wayne. I believe they have a 2 year extended warranty for $7. From what I hear, it really is no questions asked. Bring it in and get a new one. Also. I believe they put it under your phone number. So you don't even need a receipt. Thanks for watching and good luck with your purchase.

    • @4321Woodworking
      @4321Woodworking Před 2 lety +2

      You can buy an extended service plan on the Bauer line up I believe, not sure the cost of it on say the drill or jigsaw but doubt it's very much and can get up to 2 years. I know it's a bit of a nickel and dime game but the it's really a no questions asked warranty just bring it in and they give you a new one. The one lady checking me out at my HF is always trying to get me to buy it and sells it that way. Last time I think it as $11 for 1 year and $18 for 2 on the Bauer corded ROS sander I was buying for $20 on sale.

    Looks like some nice tools for the price on them for a hobbyist or weekender. I for sure would put them in a category with Hart, possibly Ryobi, some craftsmen probably.

    • @Woodcraft716
      @Woodcraft716  Před 2 lety

      Thanks Chris, they are definitely a starter tool. The drill has brushes so you can't really compare them to Dewalt or even Kobalt. They are all brushless now. But for entry level or even extra, I think they're fine. Thanks for watching and commenting buddy. 👍

      @@Woodcraft716 I'll have to look but I wonder if the Hercules line is brushless. And now that I think about it I think Hart is brushless now but I'd have to check to be sure.

    • @4321Woodworking
      @4321Woodworking Před 2 lety +1

      Sorry I commented above from my other account, DOH. In any case I looked at the Hercules line this weekend and I found that Hercules doesn't make a full set which seems so odd. Have to buy the charger, battery and then tool only all separate. Now I know they run deals at times where buy 2 of the items get battery free or what not but still just seemed odd to not have a kit. Makes it hard to do a clear comparison of starter kit to starter kit.

      @@4321Woodworking I agree. Really different. And added up, more expensive.

    I've said it before but I love seeing my sticker behind you on your videos. Nice demo on the tools. Taking the time out of your busy days to drill 50 holes and screw in so many screws is sacrifice you made to show your audience how well the drill holds up. Demonstrating the saw on different woods was also great. Harbor Freight tools have a bad reputation because people compare them to Dewalt and other high priced brands. For the money, these Bauer tools seem to be a good starting point for those not doing construction or woodworking for a living. Thanks again.

    Good tool review Mike! As another reviewer mentioned, it would be interesting to see an update in the future as to the reliability of these tools, although I see no reason why they wouldn’t perform any different. Hey, I always see that old drill press behind you in your videos. What kind is it and how old is it? Just interested. Look forward to your next video.

      Thanks Brent. I'd like to do a further review, but I'm giving away the tools. I agree, would be nice to know how they hold up.
      Yeah, that drill press. Lol. My dad got it for me at a garage sale 20 years ago. It's a Delta-Milwaukee 1950's. It even came with the manual. It weighs a ton. I really like it. I think he paid $30 for it.

    Wow Mike I'm impressed with the drill, I was debating whether to get that or a rigid set, But ended up with the rigid instead. I really like the jig saw too. Thank you for the awesome tool review!

      @Woodcraft716  Před 2 lety

      Thats awesome Seth. I think you made a good choice. Although I do like the drill. I believe the Rigid is brushless. I think that's a better choice. But for a starter. These tools are definitely worth the price. Thanks buddy. 👍
