I hold Donna blameless for this. Any TARDIS with a coffee machine in its console that's NOT impervious to coffee knows exactly what its doing.
EXACTLY
If you can cruise through time and space, you should be able to withstand some cold coffee
not only not impervious, the TARDIS seemed like it was damn near allergic to coffee. 1 spilled coffee and the thing damn near self destructed
The TARDIS goes where the Doctor needs to be, so it added the coffee machine knowing that Donna would have some and spill it. That clever thing.
@@atalcot1 Did the Doctor need to be on that ship though? He didn't really do anything that wasn't going to happen anyway
@@atalcot1I agree, the TARDIS rules
Seeing David gallop around with the same level of enthusiasm he had nearly 20 years ago brings a tear to my eye
What is all the need for all the round and round walkways? SO that a wheelchair can get around just to satisfy RTD obcession? LOL Plus it makes the set look very cheap.

(If you've never had a dog, or even a cat, around 10 p.m., they tend to do "Zoomies" Tardis or not.)
My favorite part of the episode.
I came here to say this! 😃
David Tennant: Oooh. What if I ran around the Tardis like a child with excitement? Can I?! 🥺
Production crew: Yeah…. Go on, then! 😄
Reportedly that's exactly how it happened.
But after 8 takes of dashing around the Tardis he was exhausted!
@@hotdog1214- Ha! Yup. 🤓
Should've been:
"Well, it's alright then!"
That was his real reaction btw
He's such a loveable dork
If the Tardis decides to have a coffee machine and isn't immune to coffee, then at least one of these things is the case:
1. The Tardis somehow had a lack of foresight for that moment
2. The Tardis expected this to happen and just felt like being dramatic about it
3. The Tardis is a masochist
4. Knows what Donna is like and wants to mess with her
5. The Tardis has foresight but oddly blanks out on this part, because someone dumped a cup of coffee into the console
Option 4: Yes.
@@thequietestengine - My preferred answer!
Or 5) They never expected to run into Donna Noble again.
Can we just talk for a moment about how adorable that “IT CHANGED” is? Especially considering the TARDIS didn’t change for him the first time, he kept the 9th Doctor’s TARDIS.
Is it just me or does he sound a bit like Scrooge McDuck with that line?

Personally I'm not a big fan of this interior design. But Tennent's doctor running around happily makes it special

"OMG I DID IT AGAIN!" Will never not be funny
At 0:36 when he says "This is amazing!" you can hear how it reverbs through the giant room. I love that you can not only see, but also *hear* how big this interior is.
I like that the Doctor changes the colors around in this console. As we’ve seen from previous consoles if a console room can change colors it’ll extend its lifespan (11’s second and 12’s). Potentially this console could be like the 25th anniversary console and go through 3 incarnations or more. It already has 2 down.
Donna and the Doctor like a pair of kids at Christmas. 😁❤️
Donna's advice is a good idea, after all the Doctor lost so many people in the Time War.
“OH MY GOD I DID IT AGAIN!” still has me rolling on the floor 😂
What an incredible reveal this was From David Tennant running around the console, to ‘Its gorgeous’ but Murray Gold’s score was just the icing on the cake. Fingers crossed the score is released officially, soon.
The reference to 11's theme "The Mad Man with a Box" absolutely fills me with joy (1:19)
I... don't hear it.
@@toonistinyit’s there, not very obvious though so might not have been intentional, those first 5 notes building up is the same as Mad Man In A Box

The Tardis hasnt had so many circles in its walls since the days of the First Doctor.

@@Dusclops4009No idea 😊
@@PyroDay991this whole special could be summed up as “something old, something new, something borrowed, something blue”
His 9th and 10th incarnation has that many round things
The Tardis, bigger on the inside, can travel anywhere in time and space, has shielding from weapon fire, can translate any language, can remodel its own interior, and can be nearly taken down by a cup of coffee.
Wasn't there a 20ish IT-guy who gave away Pentagon secrets on his discord server? About the same.
Most people wouldn't be happy with a fresh cup of coffee spilled on them when they weren't expecting it, to be fair.
Poured by someone who has previously operated the TARDIS, onto the TARDIS controls, in the TARDIS primary control room. There's a point where command input just has to be deemed authoritative. (-:

TARDIS Interior Set Designers: Builds A New TARDIS Interior
Russell: Let's now blow it up.
David Tennant is just a joy to watch. He is the quintessential kid in a candy-shop.
Watching this again (after the giggle) I think the Tardis was reacting to the moment when the Toymaker arrives on Earth…trying to get the Doctor as far away as possible?
Well, the Toymaker only got in after the Doctor made that salt line, but then again, from a nonlinear, non-subjective viewpoint...
So remember when the ood said “This song is ending, but the story never ends”. Well, I guess the song is being replayed. 😂
Love how The Doctor and Donna are just best friends. They really did a great job writing the relationship as close and personable but also strictly platonic.
these specials were my introduction to the franchise and ngl, when i first heard the premise that the Doctor, usually a man, always has female companions i was like "ugh great so he gets a new love interest every time? meh" just bc i don't like unnecessarily forced romantic subplots- when him and Donna were really just badass besties i was so pleasantly surprised, i loved their relationship so much!
@@darkacadpresenceinblood Honestly, there's only like three romantic companions in the whole show. Rose, which was mostly a necessity of the times for the show to be able to pull numbers since it had previously been trying to recover from a twenty year hiatus (a lot, a LOT of fans, epsecially fangirls are obessed with this pairing but there's also a lot of pushback as well for several reasons), a much more... appropriate subplot relationship a bit later (who isn't even a companion and is actually more of an event appearance type character) and it could be argued the Twelth Doctor had something of soulmate type relationship with one companion, though it has enough ambiguity that many people read them as having almost more a parental unit type bond.
Otherwise? Since the original run way back in the sixties all the way to 2005, there was basically nothing romance wise for the Doctor. Its always the Doctor, his most recent friend (and occasional lowkey kidnapping victim, lol) and its great. The Fourth Doctor and Sarah Jane were essentially just brother and sister bickering all the time type energy.
Any romantic plots are honestly a blip on the map in terms of Doctor Who.
I reckon is where Sutekh took control after leaving an imprint on the Tardis in Pyramids of Mars, found the original Susan Triad with Newton and then went to the edge of the universe where its main consciousness resided in the void to get the Doctor to weaken the supernatural barrier with the salt. Leading to the Toymaker, Maestro and itself entering the universe and latching on fully to the Tardis preparing Susan Triad to enact whatever the rest of its plan is.
I'm not a fan of Doctor Who but the shot at 0:43 is incredible, along with the music. Such an impressive Tardis design and amazing cinematography. One of the slickest shots I've ever seen.
Love the fact that even after the reveal, Donna already messed it all up by spilling coffee on the TARDIS!
I knew someone like that in a place where I was temping once. But she only damaged her keyboards. 😁
RTD couldn’t go an *episode* without blowing up the TARDIS
The impossible truly came true. Somehow they brought back Ten as the fourteenth to help him really tie loose ends. What a fun life this is! 😂❤
You’d think that the Tardis while having a coffee/tea machine or any beverage machine would be immune to any damage that beverage could do. The Tardis knew what it was doing. It did this on purpose
Well in the doctors wife the tardis had a bit of a timey wimey view of time
well in the doctor's wife, the Tardis said that she always took the Doctor where he needed to go, so the coffee machine was just the perfect excuse to get the doctor & Donna to that spaceship at the end of the universe & then Donna wouldn't have been effected by the giggle which then allowed the doctor, UNIT & Donna to figure out how to stop the toymaker which then led to the bi-generation which ultimately led to the doctor & Ruby stopping Sutek form committing universal genocide
I love how Tennant just is full of energy
"What's gonna go wrong? OH MY GOD, I DID IT AGAIN!!!"
I think she did that one on purpose rather than it being an accident to get him to soften on the parly retirement stick
I swear that was cathrine Tate being Cathrine Tate

I just think they brought David and Catherine onto the new set, let them go inside and rolled the cameras.
I think he said in an interview it was somthing along the lines for that.
This is what happens when you don't regenerate *_inside_* the TARDIS, Doctor.
the fact i predicted this interior TWO YEARS AGO by accident is brilliant. my custom interior i would want if i was the doctor was very similar. walls were silver and roundels were green by default. same kind of winding platforms and catwalks. only difference was the console unit. though it's mainly just the controls themselves and the time rotor was a tiny bit different. but still, predicted this two years ahead of time!
The Tardis on a caffeine rush... Thats a scary-funny thought, ain't it? LOL.
Poor TARDIS, she doesn’t always like the “strays” the Doctor brings home, and one of them spills coffee on her
3:25 Is it just me or is the sound effect of when the TARDIS got hit by laser in Time and the Rani used here when it takes off?
The TARDIS mind: happy to see Donna again. Donna: spills coffee. TARDIS: NOOOW!
This is extra special since david's doctor never did get his own tardis
Best scene in the whole of the specials, and thanks to the end of it, I'm sure the fan fiction writers are all over writting stuff about the "14th Doctor" if Russel T Davis doesn't have a further plan already let alone Big Finish Audio.
I hope they're having fun!
Its interesting that Tennant here is older than Jon Pertwee was as the doctor and he always seemed so old.
To be fair, Jon barely aged in between his Who days and his death. His hair only got white and that was about it.
0:09 it sounds like 11th interior sound
I love how the tardis interior is a mix of old and new.
It looks like that 12 Tardis new colour
3:31 is not his fault, is your daughter
TARDIS means everything to him 😭❤️
David tennant is still alive for a disney plus run
1:35 you got that wrong, the exterior is stuck stuck in 2018.
For a moment there it wasn't the Doctor. It's just David Tennant being excited as a Doctor Who fan. Running around the TARDIS all giddy with excitement.
it was just david Tennant being himself
The way the TARDIS basically malfunctioned over a bit of coffee is ridiculous especially when gunfire by the Cybermen didn’t cause it to do that!
I may be wrong, but wasn't their entrance the first time they had actually seen the new Tardi interior in real life? So their reactions were exactly what you would expect. Later they did pick up shots of him running round, but the first shots were natural reactions
Knowing that Sutekh was latched on the TARDIS at this point, I could totally see this explosion and the resulting adventure being partly due to his influence (first Sue appearance + the events that cause the Toymaker's return). There's no way a TARDIS with a functioning coffee machine wouldn't have safeguards against this otherwise.
I have only just been able to catch up with this programme which I love - though I've not seen all the specials yet, so no spoilers, please.
The 13th Doctor's final outing really reminded me why I love this programme. This moment did, too.
I love the joyful absurdity of it, and I love the humanity at its heart (well, hearts). I love that it's so much bigger on the inside.
Catching up with these specials is going to be great fun!
That sounded awesome.

Imagine one day Matt Smith returns playing a new incarnation of the doctor and runs around the Tardis like Tennant did.
I just realized every regeneration of the New Who Doctors got a new Tardis interior or changes to theirs except for 10. This was a nice surprise for his return as 14.
Not quite. The 12th Doctor´s TARDIS was the 11th Doctor´s second design. But I know what you mean. For David Tennant (10th and 14th Doctor) he got a new design which then got taken over from 15.
@@93Chowo it was still a redesign, however slight. The colors changed for the lights, shelves were added and the roundels were more defined. Not a big one but enough to count.
