      I have prayed for you.
Father, I lift up, "cared for", you know who they are, and ask You, Almighty God, to show them your glory, the glory that You reveal to those who share in the fellowship if the sufferings of Your Son and or Savior, Jesus Christ.
Father, I ask that You would open the heart and give him/ her insight into the value of remaining faithful in the midst of thier suffering.
Sometimes, Lord, we just don't understand, but it's all for Your glory. Our faith is perfected through suffering.
So I ask, You, Father to comfort those of us that suffer. Keep us faithful, Lord, and fill our hearts with the same love and devotion to You that Christ displayed as He hung on the cross.
Father, I humbly pray this in Jesus's Holy Name. Amen

    Listened to this over 4xs.
I needed to hear this sermon.
chronic back pain has destroyed my life for 25 yrs (I’m only 39). Along with my emotional & spiritual health. I lost hope a long time ago. But I’ve always believed God is there with me “taking care of me”.
I loved God but not enough… this sermon helped me see my suffering in a different light. A positive light .
    Thank you for this!

I've had debilitating pain since I was 29. It all really started around the time I got out of the Marines. It makes life EXTREMELY HARD. I want a glorified body and to be with our Lord and my family. I TRULY would love to live a normal life. I'm 41 now and I fear what I will be going through here in 10 years. Brother, I'm going to be 62 in just 2 days. I suffer every day, but I promise you that the Lord hears each and every prayer you send up.
Let me share with you what happened just 1 week ago.
I have 3 girls, one married, and we had been gifted 5 box seats at the Denver Nuggets game.
I woke up that morning, and I was in terrible terrible pain. I was in so much pain that I was litterally in tears, but the greatest pain was the thought of not being able to spend this time with my girls... I was devastated, to say the least.
My wife, the girls, and I were praying that I would get the relief that I needed to make it to the game. I was praying all day.
Needless to say, when it came time to go, I was able to walk, we went to the game, and it was such a blessing to have this moment with my girls.
Although the Lord allows me to go through the pain, I absolutely know that He loves me, He owes me nothing, yet He gives me everything.
Brother, I have lifted you up in prayer, not that you might be healed, but that you may know Him in your suffering just as He knew you in His suffering.
I want you to know that we suffer for a greater good that I cannot explain.
We share in the fellowship of His suffering, and all I can say is, when you let go of the bitterness and the woe is me, why is this happening to me attitude, you will find a joy in your suffering that is hard to explain.
I love the Lord more in my suffering than I ever did in my healthy days, and I wouldn't trade my suffering and the love that I have, right now, for Him, for a pain free life... it's just hard to explain, but it is what it is, and I love Him all the more for it.
      God bless you, my brother.

@@michaelpack7591 I wouldn't really say I have a why is this happening to me attitude. This just started when I was 28 and I don't plan on having children now because I couldn't be the father I wanted. It totally uprooted any plans I had for myself and any kind of a future. I more try to look at it as maybe this was what it was gonna take to get me to turn to the Lord. Because in my younger days if I wasn't going through this I don't know if I EVER would have. That's how I'm trying to approach this. This may have been necessary for my salvation.

@@krismyers3995 You know what? I NEVER thought I would be a dad. In fact, I wasn't until I was 45 years old.
I spent more time in jail and prison in my first 30 years than I did on the streets. I was a drug addict, and a rotten SOB, and my wife was also a drug addict, but the Lord pulled us out together.
I haven't lived a perfect life, but if I had it to do all over again, I guess that I wouldn't change a thing.
I'm about 60% bed bound, and I wish that I could be more of a dad to my girls than I already am, but none of this negates the fact that the Lord brought me around to where I am today.
Please, don't think that I was saying that you have a, "why me" attitude. I don't know you, so that's not for me to say. However, I do think that it's easy to get into that mode, so I pray for your protection.
One more thing, I pray that you have a very very merry Christmas.

Sitting here with tears running down my face. I have have suffered greatly with fibromyalgia for the past 7 years to the point where i am mostly bed bound now. I can barely make it through the day and i have kids i need to homeschool. I try and do my best even though we are so far behind. I feel so much guilt for it. My house is a complete filthy mess because am never able to clean it up to standard. My kids have to most of the work. Which is washing, washing dishes and washing the floors and other small tasks. I try and do the cooking and what i can when i dont feel sick. Its tough living like this and sometimes I do think how can this possibly be of any value in this life?? I know this is an old comment but I wanted to share my experience with fibromyalgia. I’ve taken lyrica and tramadol for the last 5 years and it has been a life changer for me. I recommend asking a doctor to prescribe it, just be careful with tramadol, it needs to be monitored at all times because it can become addictive and cause other side effects. That being said, I can’t function without it and I’m hoping I never have to stop taking it or find something else that works. Never give up and try finding what works for you too. Blessings

But I get you its tough to understand sometimes and i have felt like you before many many times because Im also constantly going through sicknesses. For me when one sickness stops its the next. I just had to go to hospital last week because I was getting the worst pains in my lungs and the week before that i threw my back out. Im only 37 but i feel 80🤣🤣🤣. I hope you have some family around you that can help or are you part of a church so they can help?? And im so sorry for all the things that you have suffered by other people. Please hang in there and know that God loves us even though we go through this. Keep seeking Him and soon we will be set free.

Sometimes the pain is so severe that the manner in which we glorify God is to simply endure the pain while clinging to Christ till our last breath. I suffer from chronic sinusitis - and it makes my life absolutely miserable. There are some days where I can barely get out of bed. Nevertheless, Christ is my hope. The measure of our endurance and faithfulness to Christ in this life will surely be compensated by God Himself in eternity. I’m convinced that those with the most treasure in heaven are the people who suffered greatly and never lost their faith in Christ.

Anyone that says that suffering is not a part of God's plan simply hasn't read thier bibles. In fact, there's a special crown that we receive for holding fast to the Lord.
There will be a day when we will never suffer again, but that's not going to happen this side of life.

      @mikerutkowski7265 Před 3 lety +4

If you have not overcome sin and sickness in your life then you are a deceived believer who does not understand the blessing that Jesus provided for you.
Most believers do not understand that sickness comes from sin and the devil and they possess sickness in their life since they are sinners who are deceived in their beliefs. So if you currently have an affliction or you are someone who can get sick then you clearly are living in sin and you certainly are not a Christian. You may foolishly believe otherwise but your sin and your sickness is definitely proving that you are a deceived believer who lacks knowledge of scripture since you did not understand the blessing that Jesus provided for you and you did not learn how to overcome your sin and your sicknesses.
I am a sanctified disciple of Jesus Christ who can no longer sin nor can I ever get sick and Jesus has given me wisdom about scripture that very very few will ever possess. Realize that there is not even one scripture where God ever stated that a person who possesses sin and sickness in their life is His child so if you can still sin and you can still get sick then you definitely are not a child of God. Scripture clearly relates that if you do sin then you are of the devil and if you have afflictions then you are a sinner who does not know God.
“He who sins is of the devil, for the devil has sinned from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that He might destroy the works of the devil.”
      ‭‭I John‬ ‭3:8‬ ‭NKJV‬‬
Very few believers truly understand scripture and this is why only a remnant will be saved since most believers are completely deceived in their beliefs and they will perish in their sin and their ignorance of truth. Most do not even understand the difference between a Believer, a Disciple, a Christian and a Apostle and so I will now explain.
“Isaiah also cries out concerning Israel: “Though the number of the children of Israel be as the sand of the sea, The remnant will be saved.”
      ‭‭Romans‬ ‭9:27‬ ‭NKJV‬‬
We are all born in sin and in ignorance of God’s word and truth. When you first repent of your sins and you accept Jesus into your life you are now a believer but you are still deceived and ignorant about scripture since you have never been sanctified in truth by the Holy Spirit. This is why a believer will still possesses sin and sickness in their life since they still lack knowledge in the word of God.
Once a believer accepts Jesus into their life they were then commanded to surrender their will to the Holy Spirit so the Spirt could now teach them how to stop sinning. This purification process is called sanctification and it can only be achieved by understanding how to test the Spirits as commanded in 1 John 4. Sanctification takes years and it requires our faith, patience, suffering and endurance since the Holy Spirit teaches us how to overcome our sins. Once we learn how to overcome our sins we now have overcome our sicknesses since afflictions come from sin and the devil. Sadly the vast majority of believers never allow this process to occur since they are deceived in their beliefs and so they remain in their sin and their ignorance their entire lives. Others will actually fall away during the sanctification process just as Judas certainly did and Jesus relates these various believers in the parable of the sower in Luke 8:11-15. Not many believers actually make it through God’s sanctification process and this is why it is referred to as the narrow gate.
“Enter by the narrow gate; for wide is the gate and broad is the way that leads to destruction, and there are many who go in by it. Because narrow is the gate and difficult is the way which leads to life, and there are few who find it.”
      ‭‭Matthew‬ ‭7:13-14‬ ‭NKJV‬‬
If a believer does surrender their will to God’s purification process they now become a disciple since they are now learning scripture directly from Jesus Himself. Jesus will now teach His disciple how to live just as He did since He now dwells inside His true children. A disciple means “a student who learns from his teacher.” This is why scripture relates that Jesus is our one and only teacher and this is also why the vast majority of religions and preachers are nothing more then false prophets who are only leading believers astray.
It is during the sanctification process that the Holy Spirit teaches us how to live holy and righteously just as God commanded and He does this by showing us how to overcome our sins. Sanctification is kind of similar to what Jesus endured in the wilderness for 40 days since the Spirit has us confront the devil’s temptations head on. If you end up completing God’s purification process you are now a Christian who is sanctified in truth and you are a disciple of Jesus Christ who can no longer sin. This is when you are actually born again since a child born of God is someone who lives “exactly like Christ” and they do not sin. This is how the term Christian came about since the original disciples lived exactly like Christ.
Most overlook how Jesus had to train his twelve chosen disciples for three years before they could become His apostles. An apostle means someone who is sent, a messenger. Many overlook the prayer that Jesus made for His disciples in John 17:6-19 where He asked His Father to sanctify His disciples in truth. So the disciples had to be sanctified in truth before Jesus could use them as His apostles, His messengers. So an apostle is someone who is a messenger from God and they possess the power of God to prove their anointment.
Realize that God did not instruct us or command us to explain scripture to anyone but yet most are foolishly believing that it is their duty to try and lead others to Jesus. Many deceived believers do not understand that the Great Commission was for God’s chosen disciples who were trained by Jesus and who were sanctified in God’s truth. It was not meant for every believer of Jesus Christ to teach and that is simply a lie that is being fabricated by the devil’s many false ministers. So you might now begin to understand why the majority of believers are nothing more then children of the devil since they are ignorantly blaspheming the Spirit of truth when they willingly relate their misguided beliefs. These ignorant souls are simply spreading lies and condemning themselves since they were never taught scripture by Jesus nor where they sanctified in God’s truth.
“It is written in the prophets, ‘And they shall all be taught by God.’ Therefore everyone who has heard and learned from the Father comes to Me.”
      ‭‭John‬ ‭6:45‬ ‭NKJV‬‬
‬”My brethren, let not many of you become teachers, knowing that we shall receive a stricter judgment. For we all stumble in many things. If anyone does not stumble in word, he is a perfect man, able also to bridle the whole body.”
      ‭‭James‬ ‭3:1-2‬ ‭NKJV‬‬
Many believers are ignorantly believing that Jesus came to forgive our past, present and future sins. This spoken untruth is having people believe that they can continue in a life of sin and then simply repent and God will forgive them over and over. This is why many believe that if they repent just before they die then Jesus will save their sinful soul. This twisted reasoning would mean that you can continue to steal and then simply repent. You can then lie and then repent. You can then murder and simply repent. You can keep committing whatever sin you desire and simply repent afterwards and you will always be forgiven. This is simply nonsense that is fabricated by the devil to make you believe that you will always sin.
“Jesus answered and said to them, “Those who are well have no need of a physician, but those who are sick. I have not come to call the righteous, but sinners, to repentance.”
      ‭‭Luke‬ ‭5:31-32‬ ‭NKJV‬
Jesus did not come to call on the righteous since a righteous person does not sin. Jesus came to call sinners to repentance which meant for sinners to stop sinning entirely and to start living holy and righteously just as God commanded. Jesus came to forgive us of the sins that we have already committed and this occurs at the moment that we repent of our sins and we accept Jesus and His Holy Spirit into our life. We must then submit to God’s purification process and allow the Holy Spirit to sanctify our heart in God’s truth so that we could overcome the sin and the sicknesses that we possess in our lives. Once again this can only be achieved by understanding how to test the Spirits as commanded in 1 John 4.
So a Christian is someone who is sanctified in truth and they can easily discern a true Christian from a deceived believer in seconds since they now possess the mind of Christ and they are able to judge all things. They can no longer sin nor can they ever get sick since they are now born of God and the devil can no longer touch them with his afflictions. I have overcome sin and sickness in my own life and this is why God has me relating His blessings in my writings and in my videos.
“These things we also speak, not in words which man’s wisdom teaches but which the Holy Spirit teaches, comparing spiritual things with spiritual. But the natural man does not receive the things of the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him; nor can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned. But he who is spiritual judges all things, yet he himself is rightly judged by no one. For “who has known the mind of the LORD that he may instruct Him?” But we have the mind of Christ.”
      ‭‭I Corinthians‬ ‭2:13-16‬ ‭NKJV‬‬
“We know that whoever is born of God does not sin; but he who has been born of God keeps himself, and the wicked one does not touch him.”
      ‭‭I John‬ ‭5:18‬ ‭NKJV

      @mikerutkowski7265 Před 3 lety

There is no sickness with God and there is no sickness for the true children of God since a child of God can no longer sin.
Sin and sickness is strictly of the devil and you will only find sin and sickness in unbelievers and deceived believers since they are children of the devil who do not either understand or they do not believe what scripture is relating.
The children of the devil often try to use 1 John 1:8-1O or Romans 3:10, 3:23 and 7 in order to try and justify the sin that they possess in their wicked life. When they do they clearly prove that they have no idea what these scripture are relating or what they even mean.
First in Romans 7 Paul is simply relating how he was a sinner until He was freed by knowing Christ and these deceived souls clearly overlooked how Paul related that he had died to sin and was no longer a slave to sin in Romans 6. The other scriptures are simply relating that everyone is born in sin and ignorance and so this is why mankind falls short of the glory of God since they are not living righteously. These scriptures are relating that this is why we need to repent and confess our sins to God so that He will then forgive us. They also relate that anyone who believes that they have never sinned is then calling God a liar. But nowhere are any of these scriptures ever stating that a believer will always sin as the children of the devil desire to believe. Anyone who tries to use these scripture in order to justify the sin that they possess in their life proves that they are a deceived believer who is a sinner and they belong to the devil.
“He who sins is of the devil, for the devil has sinned from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that He might destroy the works of the devil.”
      ‭‭I John‬ ‭3:8‬ ‭NKJV‬‬
There is not one scripture that ever states that a child of God will sin or will have sickness in their life. There is not one scripture that ever states that a believer will always sin or can never stop sinning. There is not one scripture that ever states that a Christian who is a child of God will possess sickness in their life or states that sickness is a normal part of this life.
Scripture clearly relates that if you truly follow God and you are His child then you cannot sin and this is why God will not allow the devil to touch you with sickness and disease since God will remove them from your life.
“Whoever has been born of God does not sin, for His seed remains in him; and he cannot sin, because he has been born of God.”
      ‭‭I John‬ ‭3:9‬ ‭NKJV‬‬
“We know that whoever is born of God does not sin; but he who has been born of God keeps himself, and the wicked one does not touch him.”
      ‭‭I John‬ ‭5:18‬ ‭NKJV
“So you shall serve the LORD your God, and He will bless your bread and your water. And I will take sickness away from the midst of you. No one shall suffer miscarriage or be barren in your land; I will fulfill the number of your days.”
      ‭‭Exodus‬ ‭23:25-26‬ ‭NKJV‬‬
“And said, “If you diligently heed the voice of the LORD your God and do what is right in His sight, give ear to His commandments and keep all His statutes, I will put none of the diseases on you which I have brought on the Egyptians. For I am the LORD who heals you.”
      ‭‭Exodus‬ ‭15:26‬ ‭NKJV‬‬
“And the LORD will take away from you all sickness, and will afflict you with none of the terrible diseases of Egypt which you have known, but will lay them on all those who hate you.”
      ‭‭Deuteronomy‬ ‭7:15‬ ‭NKJV‬
Scripture also relates that it is your sin that is allowing sickness to enter your life.
“But the one who was healed did not know who it was, for Jesus had withdrawn, a multitude being in that place. Afterward Jesus found him in the temple, and said to him, “See, you have been made well. Sin no more, lest a worse thing come upon you.”
      ‭‭John‬ ‭5:13-14‬ ‭NKJV‬‬
Psalm 107:17. “Fools, because of their transgression, And because of their iniquities, were afflicted.”
Know what this means? First transgression, it means an act that goes against a rule, a law or a code of conduct. Next iniquity, it means a wicked act or thing, sin. Finally, affliction, it means something that causes persistent pain or suffering. Translated it is saying that you are a fool if you do not follow God’s laws and commands and you go and sin because you will then have pain, suffering and sickness.
So all of this proves that the children of the devil will certainly try to twist scripture in order to justify the sin and the sicknesses that they possess in their life because they do not want to admit that they are deceived in their beliefs and they are not children of God.
To try and justify their afflictions some will claim that Paul’s thorn in the flesh was a sickness. For some reason many of these fools desire to believe that Paul possessed sickness and had bad eyesight. Acts 19 and 28 relates how Paul was able to remove the sickness from everyone who came to him so what could possibly make these deceived believers think that he was someone who had sickness in his life? Couldn’t Paul just remove the sickness from himself as he did with those who came to him for healing? Plus if Paul was bitten by a venomous snake and yet it did him no harm how could anyone possibly believe that Paul was someone who could then get sick himself?
These sinners also try to claim that the apostles were sinners themselves. Now did the apostles live in sin at some time in their life? They most definitely did since everyone is born in sin and in ignorance of truth. But the apostles were believers who allowed Jesus to sanctify their heart in God’s truth and they learned how to overcome their sins. This is why God then used them as His messengers and He gave them His power to heal. Read John 17:6-19 where Jesus prayed for their sanctification.
Many others try to manipulate what John 9:3, 1 Timothy 5:23, Galatians 4:13 and Philippians 2:26 are relating in order to explain the sicknesses they possess in their sinful lives. Some will even try and use Job and others from the Old Covenant to justify their sicknesses. When these deceived believers try to use anyone from the Old Covenant they certainly reveal their complete ignorance of scripture. Scripture relates that Job was a righteous man but what they clearly overlook is that we are all born in sin and ignorance and this included Job. Even though Job lived righteously he still possessed sin since there was no forgiveness of sins under the Old Covenant since Jesus had not arrived yet. Lastly, some will simply claim that sin has nothing to do with sickness and they deny the very words spoken by Jesus Himself.
So if you are a believer who can still sin or who can still get sick then you do not know Jesus at all and you certainly do not understand scripture or the blessing that Jesus provided for all of mankind. You are simply a deceived believer who is a child of Lucifer since you have clearly fallen for the devil’s lies in regards to scripture and what it is relating.

Of course it’s hard to swallow! It’s not biblical!! Listen to your spirit telling you that. Romans 8, James 1. Suffering can be used by God to test our faith and grow us, but he’s not glorified in it?!?!
We have our future glory to look forward to and the whole world groans for redemption waiting for it. The fall is the cause for all suffering, but John Piper teaches God is. Not biblical at all. Go to the scriptures, get away from these terrible philosophical teachings. God bless you, I’ll pray for healing for you. God is with you

My friend suffers daily from a chronic illness. The feeling is like someone is constantly stabbing her with a knife. She can't afford treatment that could save her life she can barely walk sometimes. She gave her life to God and helped so many women and men. 20 years of extreme suffering. Why didn't God provide for her needs to have enough finances to get treatment. When you seek His righteousness and His Kingdom he provides all our needs? She has been begging God for healing from this chronic illness and pain and the illness is attacking her more and her suffering is worse. And there are people who don't care about God and are sinners that are healthy and living their best life. Life is so unfair. And it hurts me to know I can't help my friend get better. For her to never feel pain again as she is in pain daily. I don't get God. God heals and yet I don't see her being healed after years of her begging and crying for God to take away her suffering

Then I remembered the scripture that says "The Joy of the Lord is my Strength". I then told God that there's nothing I can to in my power to fix this suffering but I ask for your Joy to keep me going. Now I am much more peaceful and happy because he gave me his Joy. I am still suffering but I now have hope that eventually I will be free from it. And a peace to get me through it. I was literally at the edge. And the people who are living in chronic pain are loosing time with their families and loosing their security. And eventually they are out on the streets defending their lives and praying to god that they don’t starve to death or possibly loose their lives. Which eventually leads to drug and alcohol abuse. While the people who are living the free life rather laugh and spit in the faces of the ones who suffer.

David also witnessed the same thing. It makes no sense until you see the eternal perspective.
      Psalm 73:
1 Surely God is good to Israel,
to those who are pure in heart.
      2 But as for me, my feet had almost slipped;
I had nearly lost my foothold.
3 For I envied the arrogant
when I saw the prosperity of the wicked.
      4 They have no struggles;
their bodies are healthy and strong.
      5 They are free from common human burdens;
they are not plagued by human ills.
      6 Therefore pride is their necklace;
      they clothe themselves with violence.
      7 From their callous hearts comes iniquity;
their evil imaginations have no limits.
      8 They scoff, and speak with malice;
      with arrogance they threaten oppression.
9 Their mouths lay claim to heaven,
and their tongues take possession of the earth.
10 Therefore their people turn to them
and drink up waters in abundance.
11 They say, “How would God know?
Does the Most High know anything?”
12 This is what the wicked are like-
always free of care, they go on amassing wealth.
13 Surely in vain I have kept my heart pure
and have washed my hands in innocence.
14 All day long I have been afflicted,
and every morning brings new punishments.
15 If I had spoken out like that,
I would have betrayed your children.
16 When I tried to understand all this,
      it troubled me deeply
      17 till I entered the sanctuary of God;
then I understood their final destiny.
      18 Surely you place them on slippery ground;
you cast them down to ruin.
19 How suddenly are they destroyed,
      completely swept away by terrors!
      20 They are like a dream when one awakes;
      when you arise, Lord,
you will despise them as fantasies.
21 When my heart was grieved
      and my spirit embittered,
      22 I was senseless and ignorant;
I was a brute beast before you.
      23 Yet I am always with you;
you hold me by my right hand.
24 You guide me with your counsel,
and afterward you will take me into glory.
25 Whom have I in heaven but you?
And earth has nothing I desire besides you.
26 My flesh and my heart may fail,
but God is the strength of my heart
      and my portion forever.
      27 Those who are far from you will perish;
you destroy all who are unfaithful to you.
28 But as for me, it is good to be near God.
      I have made the Sovereign Lord my refuge;
I will tell of all your deeds.

I have had four back surgeries and have suffered horrible debilitating pain. I am now doing better than I was due to finding a medicine that is very strong, but I get some relief. It took a long time to get to that point. I think the only one who can really answer this question is those who have been there and gotten past it or have learned to live with it. It is too easy for someone to say "This is God's will for your life," when they are not in pain themselves. I agree and disagree with this video.
Chronic pain changes your thinking and changes everything about you even if you are the most devout Christian on this earth. With that said, I believe if you keep praying and asking God for help, he will eventually help you. It might take years of suffering before a solution is given, but don't give up. I have to exercise 5 to 6 times per week or I get where I can't move and become more crippled and my pain increases. Don't give up is my answer, but don't live with it either because that is not living. That is my answer. Disagree if you want to, but since I have lived it and still live it I am able to answer that question more than someone who is a preacher but does not live in pain on a daily basis. I still live in some pain every day, but it is enough where I have hope for a better life! God bless!

I have no chronic pain, but I have such a negative, pessimistic, and depressing view of life. All it is is loneliness, suffering, and all-around awful. Light an momentary affliction doesn't begin to cover it. I honestly find it difficult to want to go on living. If all I have to look forward to is pain, although I may not experience it now, I know I will experience it in the future. This makes me contemplate the love of God a lot, yes the Bible said Jesus died for us and that he loves us, but that l9ve hardly ever makes itself evident in our individual lives. How are we to have hope when all we do is suffer, God are we to glorify God when all the Christian walk produces is weakness, pain, and constant expectation looming over you like an atom bomb.

These circumstances bring Job's story to mind. Satan sought to prove Job's faith as shallow, that if God's loving protection and blessings were removed, Job would curse God, even to His face. Yet in all his suffering, though Job lamented of even being born, he did not curse God and thereby God was vindicated and glorified. In our suffering we can glorify God by doing as Job did and saying "though He slay me, yet will I trust in Him". I hope and pray for such faith.

I’ve always had faith in God and believe in Jesus Christ as my lord and savior but I feel that the closer I try getting to God the worst my physical pain becomes. Thank you so much for this clear and powerful explanation. In addition to severe bouts of arthritis/joint pain and eye inflammation, I suffer from idiopathic small fiber polyneuropathy, from head to toe, which adversely affects my quality of life and challenges my faith. I sought out biblical answers to clarify why I suffer this painful, debilitating condition without any identifiable cause or affective relief in sight. Who knows why I've also suffered various physical and emotional traumas/insults since childhood?! I wanted to know if this was punishment for something, for previous sins and/or some unrecognized and unrepentant sin(s) perhaps. The story of Job always encourages me that often God chooses servants to suffer in a way that proves the unwavering faithfulness of His children. Yet there are temptations to blame oneself and/or wallow in self pity, especially when we feel no one cares and there's no benefit. This episode affirms that God not only knows and cares about our pain - whatever they may be - but He uses it to strengthen our reliance and trust in Him to His glory. Indeed, when we are faithful to God despite our suffering, we declare to the world that no matter what, we love the Lord. I pray for healing and comfort for each of you. God bless you.

That woman is deceived and she knows nothing about God. There is no sickness or disabilities with God and there is no sickness for the true children of God since a child of God can no longer sin.
So if you are a believer who can still sin or who can still get sick then you do not know Jesus at all and you certainly do not understand scripture or the blessing that Jesus provided for all of mankind. You are simply a deceived believer who is a child of Lucifer since you have clearly fallen for the devil’s lies in regards to scripture and what it is relating.

@ no fool the nonsense simply comes from you. There are many deceived believers who are children of the devil and they will take a scripture like 1 John 1:8-10 and they will twist its meaning to claim that a believer can never stop sinning.
“If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. If we say that we have not sinned, we make Him a liar, and His word is not in us.”
      ‭‭I John‬ ‭1:8-10‬ ‭NKJV‬‬
These people are so lost and misguided that they believe that this scripture is relating that a believer will always sin. These fools cannot comprehend that this scripture is simply stating that everyone is born a sinner since we are all born in sin and ignorance of truth. It is saying that this is why we need to repent and confess our sins to God so that He will then forgive us. It is also stating that anyone who believes that they have never sinned is then calling God a liar. But nowhere is this scripture ever relating that a believer will always sin as the children of the devil desire to believe.
There is not one scripture that ever states that a believer will always continue to sin. Only people who are deceived think that a believer can never stop sinning and that God will just forgive them for all the sins that they commit. A Christian is someone who is a follower of Christ which means they are living “exactly like Christ” and they do not sin. There are many scriptures that use terms like, do not sin, has died to sin, has ceased from sin, cannot keep on sinning and cannot sin. All of these terms are used when describing a follower of Christ and this is why only the children of the devil would believe that they can never stop sinning.
Here is what deceived believers are clearly missing. Yes we are all born in sin and we have all sinned but this does not mean that a believer can never stop sinning. Jesus came to forgive us of the sins that we have already committed and this occurs at the moment that we repent of our sins and we accept Jesus and His Holy Spirit into our life. Once we receive His Holy Spirit we were then commanded to surrender our will to God so that we would allow the Spirit to sanctify our heart in God’s truth. Sadly this is where the majority of believers fail and go astray because they never allow this process to occur since they do not understand how to test the Spirits as instructed in 1 John 4.
Many are ignorantly believing that Jesus came to forgive our past, present and future sins. Jesus came to call sinners to repentance since we are all born in sin. This meant for us to stop sinning entirely and to start living holy and righteously just as God commanded.
“Afterward Jesus found him in the temple, and said to him, “See, you have been made well. Sin no more, lest a worse thing come upon you.””
      ‭‭John‬ ‭5:14‬ ‭NKJV‬‬
“We know that whoever is born of God does not sin; but he who has been born of God keeps himself, and the wicked one does not touch him.”
      ‭‭I John‬ ‭5:18‬ ‭NKJV
“But as He who called you is holy, you also be holy in all your conduct, because it is written, “Be holy, for I am holy.”
      ‭‭I Peter‬ ‭1:15-16‬ ‭NKJV‬‬
“Therefore you shall be perfect, just as your Father in heaven is perfect.”
      ‭‭Matthew‬ ‭5:48‬ ‭NKJV‬‬
“To him who overcomes I will grant to sit with Me on My throne, as I also overcame and sat down with My Father on His throne.”
      ‭‭Revelation‬ ‭3:21‬ ‭NKJV‬‬
“And He said to me, “It is done! I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End. I will give of the fountain of the water of life freely to him who thirsts. He who overcomes shall inherit all things, and I will be his God and he shall be My son. But the cowardly, unbelieving, abominable, murderers, sexually immoral, sorcerers, idolaters, and all liars shall have their part in the lake which burns with fire and brimstone, which is the second death.”
      ‭‭Revelation‬ ‭21:6-8‬ ‭NKJV‬
He who overcomes will inherit all things but anyone who continues in sin will only take part in the lake of fire. So if you do not overcome sin then you will never experience a sick free life in this fallen world nor might you be spending your eternity in heaven.
“Whoever commits sin also commits lawlessness, and sin is lawlessness. And you know that He was manifested to take away our sins, and in Him there is no sin. Whoever abides in Him does not sin. Whoever sins has neither seen Him nor known Him. Little children, let no one deceive you. He who practices righteousness is righteous, just as He is righteous. He who sins is of the devil, for the devil has sinned from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that He might destroy the works of the devil. Whoever has been born of God does not sin, for His seed remains in him; and he cannot sin, because he has been born of God.”
      ‭‭I John‬ ‭3:4-9‬ ‭NKJV‬‬
So scripture clearly states that whoever sins does not know God, so that is you. Whoever sins is of the devil, that is also then you! Whoever abides in God and is born of God cannot sin and does not sin, this is me! Anyone who believes that they can never stop sinning is simply a deceived believer who does not understand a thing about scripture or the blessing that Jesus provided for all of mankind.

'For we all stumble in many ways.'
In this verse stumbling refers to committing unpremeditated sins of short duration. And James is clear that we all do this.
I would expect that anyone who says they literally don't sin at all is actually - and very ironically - guilty of the sin of arrogance.

I’ve been a very sickly person since birth. I just got diagnosed with a rare disease and apart from that I’m constantly getting sick. I’ve been in pain for the past five years I can’t run and some days I can barely walk. Someone asked me, “didn’t you say once, “I’d rather suffer young and live out my adult life happy.”” Which makes me think maybe this is why God is always having me Read Job. I’ve been through so much emotional pain I lost my mother and other painful experiences. At times I have asked God that if this is my life to please let me be with him,but that if there’s blessing on the other side of this then I will go on living. But even if there isn’t I will live until he asks me not too any longer because I love him. I definitely see that the sickness is glorifying God because through all the pain I cling closer to Him. When I’m in bed, in pain, all I can do is pray to Him and stay in His word. So everything you have said is absolutely correct and I needed a reminder of it. From the bottom of my heart thank you.

You should have been born with handicaps and being mistreated by others. Growing up with those handicaps with all that pain and agony where there were no pain meds yet not available as a young child. Through my teens where I'd sit out in nature and cry from the agony I was going through. Yes I have a torchered mind from the terrible times I've gone through in my life. But through it all I have done much to help others even though I have been mistreated and spat apon as a child. My life has been hard but it's been worth it just the same.

Romans 8:18 reminds us that the sufferings of the present are incomparable to the glory that is to come. Chronic suffering can either weaken the body and soul in its unrelenting cyclical nature (if we doubt the immanence and sovereign power of God), or it can strengthen our faith if we know in Whom we believe (1 Tim 1:12), believers will always prevail as God has promised to chisel us though we tarry and doubt, that isn’t being presumptuous upon Gods will, that’s Gods word.
God didn’t give us to his son before the foundation of the world, keep us, call us, awaken us, give us the free gifts of faith and repentance, regenerate us, seal our salvation for our eternal sakes to leave it to our fallen wisdom to become unborn again and unrighteous in Christ and reject he that enabled us to believe upon him because God made an error before the foundation of the world !! We are on the trajectory he knew we would take and he assures us no matter what happens to preserve and uphold us, anyone else out there offering you anything like that ??
The biblical fact is every true believer will inevitably make it safely home to glory because the Lord is preserving him or her, so thank God that God keeps us through the work of the Holy Spirit who guards and guarantees the salvation of the ones He indwells (Ephesians 1:13; 4:30). The two halves of Psalm 63.8 reflect the two sides of the doctrine of perseverance: ‘My soul clings to you; your right hand upholds me.’ Our souls go on clinging to God in faith because his right hand is upholding us, so thank God for Gods perseverance and enduring love. Stephen, in his final sermon before he was killed for his faith, retold the story of God’s dealings with Israel from the time Abraham left his country in obedience to God’s command, all the way to the coming of Christ, the “Righteous One,” whom Israel betrayed and murdered. The crowd who heard Stephen hated what he said, covering their ears and rushing at him to stone him. “But Stephen, full of the Holy Spirit, looked up to heaven and saw the glory of God, and Jesus standing at the right hand of God” (Acts 7:55).
God has a completely different way of seeing things than us, God is always in control though we may not see that amidst enduring trials and tribulations, God knows exactly what these are and waits patiently like the loving father he is for acquiescence so he may empower us to the end.
    Deuteronomy 31:6
Be strong and courageous. Do not fear or be in dread of them, for it is the Lord your God who goes with you. He will not leave you or forsake you.
    Acts 1:8
But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.
    1 John 4:4
Little children, you are from God and have overcome them, for he who is in you is greater than he who is in the world.
    (2 Cor 12:9-10.
9 But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly of my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ may rest upon me. 10 For the sake of Christ, then, I am content with weaknesses, insults, hardships, persecutions, and calamities. For when I am weak, then I am strong.
“If you make the Most High your dwelling, no harm will overtake you” (Psalm 91:9-10 NIV)
God’s people are surrounded by walls of protection. Nothing can truly harm us in the places that matter. But this isn’t a guarantee that we will experience no pain. It’s a promise that everything that comes to us, including our trials, is part of God’s fatherly, detailed care. Our Father will keep us safe, and he will keep us to the end.
The truth is that God doesn’t promise certain limits to suffering. He doesn’t guarantee personal happiness. He doesn’t ensure our escape from pain. His people are often crushed beyond measure: the Bible makes that abundantly clear.4 Here are some guarantees God’s word does give us:
    • Suffering will come, but we will also share in Christ’s glory (1 Peter 4:12-13).
    • All that happens will be for our good, to make us more like Jesus (Rom 8:28-30).
    • Nothing can ever separate us from God’s love (Rom 8:38-39).
    • He won’t let us be tempted - that is, tested - beyond what we can bear, but will provide a way for us to endure it (1 Cor 10:13).
    • He will give us all we need for life and godliness (2 Pet 1:3)
    • In our weakness, he will give us strength (2 Cor 12:9-10 cf 2 Cor 4:7-12; Phil 4:11-13; Col 1:11-14).
“I will say to the Lord, “My refuge and my fortress, my God, in whom I trust.” (Psalm 91:2)

I can’t see how God is glorified by pain. Daily unremitting pain feels like hell. As a father, if my child was crying out in pain and I didn’t do anything about it I’m not sure what that would say about me. Also remember that your mind undergirds faith. Chronic pain changes your mind, your personality even starts changing when you are being tortured every day. And if your faith is weakened on account of it, is that your fault as if somehow you can just summon up faith? That somehow now God will punish you even more because you didn’t have enough faith in your chronic pain while more fortunate souls coast through life on the wings of pleasure, call themselves Christians, without a care and tell us in chronic pain to have faith. I wish I had answers but to think that my pain glorifies God - I’m not there yet.

Can emotional pain and trauma, mental health issues, be classified as chronic pain? My family and I have been suffering for particularly a decade now, but the trauma started early for me, and also for my mother who doesn’t know Jesus yet. I’m praying God will save her so that her suffering won’t be in vain anymore. She doesn’t understand why God is allowing her to suffer so much, and she only wishes to have a calm and happy last few years of life, as she’s 51 and feels like her life’s been useless so far. She has no hope in anything apart from worldly things at this point, and none of the things in our life are trustworthy. The hurt and betrayal of my dad cheating on her last year and leaving hit especially hard, after he also burned our house down 11 years ago.

I wonder about this too. I’m in a similar situation to yours. I would say that all suffering - whether that is emotional or physical - is giving glory to God, given that we remain faithful, always affirming in our hearts that He is worth every bit of pain, He is more than worth it. I’ve always had such anger at how dysfunctional family life can be, many times I wanted to run away from home, or just cut people out of my life entirely, but realizing that no one can be perfectly healthy in this damaging world (physically or emotionally) and that as people, we are inevitably going to hurt each other, that we don’t give up when someone’s at their worst... that God is using those relationships to shape us into who He wants us to be... that has made all the difference. I feel free not to be anxious about what other people do, how other people try to hurt me, because I have a defender. It has helped immeasurably to realize that God brings everything together, even things we would never choose, and that is the only way He could make us exactly who He intends us to be.
Will pray for your mom. My mom is similar. Also praying for you. I know it’s very stressful as the child of an unsaved person to have this anxiety of “what’s going to happen to my mom?” It’s hard. I’m praying. ❤️

This Lee Bard guy is utterly clueless in his beliefs. Many are like him and they are foolishly believing that God desires for us to suffer afflictions through pain, sickness and disabilities and that is simply utter nonsense that is being related by the believers who have been deceived the devil. Sickness comes from sin and only those who follow the devil’s lies can get sick since they are living in sin by disobeying God and His commands. What scripture means by suffering for God is how a child of God will suffer when dealing with the many deceived believers and the unbelievers of this evil fallen world. It has absolutely nothing at all to do with sickness or disabilities and deceived believers are reasoning that it does since they are trying to justify their sicknesses by twisting scripture verses.
Jesus and the Apostles did not possess sickness as some desire to believe. Jesus did not sin since He lived in holiness and once He sanctified His disciples in truth they then lived in holiness also. So their suffering was not from sickness as many desire to believe since their suffering came at the hands of the wicked people that they had to deal with. This is how they suffered for God since they were relating God’s truth but the majority of the believers that they had to deal with did not desire to hear God’s truth since it would expose their ignorance and their sin.
Scripture relates how Jesus openly rebuked and criticized the Pharisees and the Sadducees and yet most fail to realize that these were supposedly faithful believers. They probably even possessed more knowledge of scripture then most of today’s believers. When Jesus exposed their sin and their unbelief Jesus used words such as fools, foolish ones, evil, wicked, heathens, hypocrites, brood of vipers, son of hell and your father is the devil. The people back then did not like to hear how sinful they were and this why they hated Jesus so much and this is why they had Him crucified. So it is quite obvious that the deceived and evil believers of today are no different then the misguided believers back then since both obviously do not like to have their sin and their unbelief exposed.
“And He said to the man who had the withered hand, “Step forward.” Then He said to them, “Is it lawful on the Sabbath to do good or to do evil, to save life or to kill?” But they kept silent. And when He had looked around at them with anger, being grieved by the hardness of their hearts, He said to the man, “Stretch out your hand.” And he stretched it out, and his hand was restored as whole as the other.”
      ‭‭Mark‬ ‭3:3-5‬ ‭NKJV‬‬
This is where Paul’s suffering also came from through imprisonments, stoning and being whipped and it certainly was not from some type of sickness. To try and justify their afflictions many will often claim that Paul’s thorn in the flesh was a sickness. These people clearly prove that they do not understand God or scripture. What does a thorn in the flesh do? Well it causes pain and suffering. Just as Jesus suffered in the wilderness by being tempted by Satan, Jesus then allowed Satan to tempt Paul in order to make him stronger in the Holy Spirit.
“And lest I should be exalted above measure by the abundance of the revelations, a thorn in the flesh was given to me, a messenger of Satan to buffet me, lest I be exalted above measure. Concerning this thing I pleaded with the Lord three times that it might depart from me. And He said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for My strength is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore most gladly I will rather boast in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me. Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in needs, in persecutions, in distresses, for Christ’s sake. For when I am weak, then I am strong.”
      ‭‭II Corinthians‬ ‭12:7-10‬ ‭NKJV‬‬
Many desire to believe that Paul possessed sickness and that he had bad eyesight and that is simply nonsense. If Acts 19 and 28 relates how Paul was able to remove the sickness from everyone who came to him then what could possibly make anyone believe that he was someone who possessed sickness in his life? Couldn’t Paul just remove the sickness from himself as he did with those who came to him for healing? Plus if Paul was bitten by a venomous snake and yet it did him no harm how could anyone possibly believe that type of nonsense! Paul simply suffered the same way other true disciples suffer and that is through the wickedness of the many deceived believers and unbelievers who follow the devil’s lies and nonsense.
“From the Jews five times I received forty stripes minus one. Three times I was beaten with rods; once I was stoned; three times I was shipwrecked; a night and a day I have been in the deep; in journeys often, in perils of waters, in perils of robbers, in perils of my own countrymen, in perils of the Gentiles, in perils in the city, in perils in the wilderness, in perils in the sea, in perils among false brethren; in weariness and toil, in sleeplessness often, in hunger and thirst, in fastings often, in cold and nakedness- besides the other things, what comes upon me daily: my deep concern for all the churches. Who is weak, and I am not weak? Who is made to stumble, and I do not burn with indignation? If I must boast, I will boast in the things which concern my infirmity.”
      ‭‭II Corinthians‬ ‭11:24-30‬ ‭NKJV‬‬
Infirmity means physical or mental weakness and it is not a sickness. This is why people are simply twisting scripture verses in order to justify the sin and the sicknesses that they possess in their wicked lives.
There is no sickness with God and there is no sickness for the true children of God since a child of God can no longer sin. Sin and sickness is strictly of the devil and you will only find sin and sickness in unbelievers and deceived believers since they are following the devil lies. They either do not understand or they do not believe what scripture is relating and so they are deceived. This certainly proves that they are not a Christian since a Christian is someone who has overcome sin and sickness in their life. Sickness comes from the devil and the devil can only touch you with afflictions if you belong to him. The devil cannot bring sickness on someone who is born of God because a child of God cannot sin and does not sin.
“Whoever abides in Him does not sin. Whoever sins has neither seen Him nor known Him. Little children, let no one deceive you. He who practices righteousness is righteous, just as He is righteous. He who sins is of the devil, for the devil has sinned from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that He might destroy the works of the devil.”
      ‭‭I John‬ ‭3:6-8‬ ‭NKJV‬‬
“Whoever has been born of God does not sin, for His seed remains in him; and he cannot sin, because he has been born of God.”
      ‭‭I John‬ ‭3:9‬ ‭NKJV‬‬
“We know that whoever is born of God does not sin; but he who has been born of God keeps himself, and the wicked one does not touch him.”
      ‭‭I John‬ ‭5:18‬ ‭NKJV
So you cannot possibly be a Christian if you can sin or you can get sick since only the children of the devil possess sin and sickness in their lives. Most believers are not Christians since a true Christian cannot sin nor can they ever get sick. To prove my point try and provide one scripture verse where God instructed you to live in sin or where God stated that you will always sin or you could never stop sinning?
Provide one scripture where God stated that a person who possesses sin and sickness in their life is His child?
Provide one scripture verse that states that a Christian will possess sickness in their lives or where scripture states that sickness is a normal part of this life?
I know that you cannot provide any scriptures because there are no such scriptures and that is why you would need to twist or add to God’s word so that you can justify the sin and the sickness that you possess in your unbelieving life.
“For I testify to everyone who hears the words of the prophecy of this book: If anyone adds to these things, God will add to him the plagues that are written in this book; and if anyone takes away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part from the Book of Life, from the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book.”

This Hear God’s Voice is a child of the devil who is twisting scripture to try and justify the sin and sickness in his wicked life. He is simply a fool who knows nothing about God and scripture.
So if you are a believer who can still sin or who can still get sick then you do not know Jesus at all and you certainly do not understand scripture or the blessing that Jesus provided for all of mankind. You are simply a deceived believer who is a child of Lucifer since you have clearly fallen for the devil’s lies in regards to scripture and what it is relating.

@@HearGodsWordPaul did not get sick fool and clearly copying and pasting irritates your ignorant and deceived soul. You are simply a child of the devil who lives in sin and sickness and you are destined for an eternity in hell. You are just like the majority of believers and you are deceived in your beliefs and so you are living in sin. This proves that you are not a Christian since a Christian is someone who has overcome sin and sickness in this earthly life.
Many are simply deceived believers and their sin proves that they are children of the devil since they are living in both sin and sickness. Sickness comes from the devil and the devil can only touch you if you belong to him.
Give me just one scripture verse where God stated that a person who possesses sin and sickness in their life is His child?
Give me one scripture verse that states that a Christian will possess sickness in their lives or where scripture states that sickness is a normal part of this life?
Give me just one scripture verse that states that a believer will always sin or that a believer can never stop sinning?
I know that you cannot provide any scriptures because there are no such scriptures and that is why you would need to twist or add to God’s word so that you can try and justify the sin and the sickness that you possess in your unbelieving life.
      ‭‭Revelation‬ ‭22:18-19‬ ‭NKJV‬‬
So anyone who possesses sin and sickness in their life is proving they are a deceived believer who is a child of the devil and they are not a Christian since a Christian lives in the blessing that Jesus provided for all of mankind and this is why they can no longer sin nor can they ever get sick.

I'm so tired of not having a life. I was burnt out and exhausted at 18 and I'm 32 this year and I feel like my life has passed me by. I feel lazy because I don't have a diagnosis yet but I'm working on it. I'm so tired. and everything hurts. but doctors just dismiss it as anxiety...but I don't do anything! how and why am I "anxious" over nothing and how will I ever have a life, a job, a family, hobbies, if nothing makes me tired? I don't get it and I'm so depressed. my heart issues make it hard to do even small things and it makes it hard to keep the faith. I try and I'm trying. but I'm tired.

    Christ suffered the most.
The Spirit himself testifies together with our spirit that we are God’s children, and if children, also heirs-heirs of God and coheirs with Christ-if indeed we suffer with him so that we may also be glorified with him. For I consider that the sufferings of this present time are not worth comparing with the glory that is going to be revealed to us. Romans 8:16-18

Trick question. It doesn’t!!!! But WE can glorify God by giving him praise THROUGH the pain while we believe that the Devil is the one responsible for ALL pain, sickness, illness and that Jesus came so that we may have LIFE and have it more abundantly. The Bible says by His stripes we WERE healed!!! No ifs ands or buts! Once we pay attention to Jesus and what he did while on earth, we glorify God by RECEIVING his blessings and total healing that Jesus freely gave to us 2000 years ago when he died on the cross and rose again beating the devil! He said greater things will YOU do than I have done! He said pray for the sick and they WILL be healed! Healing IS ALWAYS his will!

But breaking his own creations to pieces for his own desire is just sick.

Pain does not glorify God. Pain is from the pit of hell. It steals your joy, your peace, people are housebound because of pain. Someone who was in pain to have their pain healed glorifys God. I will never accept being in pain or be at peace with being in pain. Jesus does not have pain, and as he is so am I in the Earth. Isn't that what the Bible says?

Is it theologically accurate to to take one verse and say well if the bible says this we can take it one step further and say that's God's will to? Even though the verse itself has conveniently left that one word out. Romans 8:35 Are you not adding to the scriptures your own word and meaning? After all we know it's God's will that we love others, yet many would be hard pressed to take that one step further and teach love means tolerance of others behavior at all times. You'd be adding a human teaching of tolerance to bibical teaching of love.
