Well this one took me longer than I would've hoped, although I'm pretty happy with how it turned out. Although I'd probably say the video essay probably isn't the format for me. But nonetheless, I'm glad that I was able to try it out and come up with some neat ideas for this video. Hope you enjoyed watching, stay tuned for some more of the usual content I like to do.

I saw this video and wanted so badly to make an argument about the subjectivity of aspect ratio in regards to conveying emotion, until you described the changes in ratio of the last film as being "distracting." I never thought about that in this way, but an aspect ratio is not something that should be at the forefront of your mind. Like color or tone, the aspect ratio is something you may notice as the very beginning (as you compare it to other films that you've seen) and then should only serve to heighten the story points which that film originally sought to emphasize. All in all great video man! I always love to see the creative and consistent content that you can produce!

I never realized aspect ratios could implicate so many things. Always thought they were merely there purely for more ''cinematic'' experience, or to help hide low altitude flying microphones from the shots. 😂
