- Sunny Beach in Bulgaria , is sometimes wrongly described as a top European shopping destination. It certainly is not that, mainly smaller stalls and shops selling fake designer goods of all kinds, football shirts for example are one of the most popular items tourists search for. However, if you take time to explore, there are some good quality retailers at great Bulgarian prices. The fake items vary from top brand lookalike handbags that fall apart before you get back to your hotel to others that are really good quality, hard to tell from the genuine item. Its important to take a good look and really feel what you are buying here. Genuine branded is available and we love Bulgarian brands for leather goods and clothes, very good quality and price.
We were given the football shirts at the end of last season ( actually 2024 team kit ) by Nicky, though not football supporters , we were surprised on unwrapping them how nice they actually are, well made and were proud to wear them for this video the following year. As they are in this video, therefore they are classed as product placement. We do not charge or ask businesses for payment in the making of our videos.
On retiring here we took up You tube as simply a hobby, filling some time and allowing us to really get to know the area and people. It has become a big part of our lives now consuming so much time and effort which hopefully people can share and have a better holiday when they arrive here in Bulgaria.

Great day of shopping for you guys in Sunny Beach. Susan has a lovely new dress for the summertime and Sunny the Cat has a new buddy now. You guys are doing a great job promoting all the local shops with great merchandise (especially Nicky's sports apparel shop - on his birthday). Keep up the good work and it's always nice to see you guys!😉😊💓
She loves the dress, it's great to see a new business with new 2024 stock, doesn't happen often. We spoke to them when setting up and promised we would go back as Susan was so impressed.

Has your wife a big case? It's hard to film here with fake goods, we live here so have good relationships with them.

Great update. Would be great to see some after dark drinking action around the resort as it livens up. Best wishes!
We were going to a couple of nights back but it went colder rather fast. As it warms up we will be out after dark and the entertainment places like route 66 open up adding their great atmosphere, not been really alive in a wide enough area to film yet.

We are currently staying at Melia hotel and it’s very good can’t fault it, food is very very good, staff are polite and helpful. Had a couple rude locals, one of the commenting on my psoriasis which is a serious skin condition saying have you been bit by bed bugs in front of loads of other people on the main stretch with all the bars. Was embarrassing and made me feel horrible as I’m already very conscious about it. Anyway aside from that we’re having a great time. There’s a mini golf near our hotel that looks really good but it’s closed, don’t suppose you know when it might be open? I’m hoping it will be Friday.
This weekend, the schools break up today so from tomorrow there will be children about. Bulgarians are very demonstrative, I didn't like the hugs etc at the start but now used to it it's their way. Andrew.

Many shops and stalls take cards This year bars and restaurants have to take card payments

Nicky closes end of September. I would do the shopping first week as it contracts a lot last week of September.

Either, the euro is a fixed rate against the Lev. Bring what you have but Scottish notes get a poorer rate

Hi, can I ask what is the current euro (cash) to lev exchange rate on flower street at the moment please. Coming over in 9 days and am debating bringing euro cash to exchange while there.
Euro to lev is a fixed rate at the banks, it does not change so use a bank. take a passport for id its pretty easy.

There are 2, one next to Valhalla nightclub 5 mins south of the jetty, in this video. There is another in the row of shops just before you get to Djanny Restaurant on the left from Flower Street and the beach.

No we don't get a penny from businesses, sometimes a beer. Very small ad revenue from you tube but I spend more than double that on equipment, licences and software .. We have to film something, iwe get to film more working with businesses
None. If we did it would be declared on the video. This is my hobby that's all. We get so many requests for hats, t shirts and merchandising but presently I don't want to work finished that 3 years ago but if we wanted to fill more time here we could

Out in town tonight after making this.
A few vidoes ago you were saying that the clothes were rubbish and that you wouldn't buy them from the stalls
They vary a lot, Andrew likes the Mall, we dont buy the cheap knock offs . Susan has a few quality stalls she buys clothes from. The point of the video is to show there is good out there. In the description if you read it I mention bags. I did a video showing Orhan last year and his fantastic Bulgarian bags and belts, I had a belt cut to size and Susan a Bulgarian leather bag both as good as it was when new. Friends have had copies that did not last a week. Its take your pick, feel the quality and look closer at what your buying. We get asked to show the stalls all the time . I said the selection was repetitive, limited, the same things on many stalls in a recent video which is very true.
