I remember reading about how Derek would literally sift through vinyl in thrift shops etc looking for albums that intrigued him. Then he'd take them back to the bus and sample them. He is a sample master. The sample master. Such a masterful homogeny of unique genres. Blew my mind. Did my heart good to watch this!
I can't believe I was lucky enough to see this set in real life. I didn't think it could get any better after the Friday night show in Chicago, but boy was I wrong. Life changing frankly.

Caught them in Brooklyn at the mirage. This is most def the best iteration of PL there’s ever been. I do miss the solo dj sets sometimes, but having the live feel of instruments and analogue sounds is something that can’t be replicated. Such a vibe
