- I was out metal detecting and I got a very iffy signal, normally I would walk away from a signal like that passing it off as junk but something made me want to dig this....... I AM SO GLAD I DID. A once in a lifetime incredible gold coin came up from the dirt. I am still shaking

That's an unbelievable piece of land, and undetected by the looks of it. Gold hammered looked like a Half Noble, definitely wouldn't be unbending that yourself and scraping it about on the stone dinner mat or whatever it was. Congratulations on an epic find, I'd be detecting that land for a very long time as there will be dozens and dozens more silvers. Your George 4th was actually William 4th by the way
It was black cardboard that the coun was on so unlikely to scratch it. I was very careful when i un bent it and did my research first. I will definitely be going back there one day, it's just a bit of a long drive to do it regularly

Its solid gold so its quite soft. If it had been silver i wouldnt have botheres as it would likely have snapped

It would be better to see you dig them up & see the detectors numbers are calling up for each find.
If i did that with every find, the video would be way to long. Also, not all the signals with the good finds were good signals. The gold coin, for example, was a very dodgy signal and i almost didn't bother digging it.
