The spiral appeared in 6x07 too. When Howard runs upstairs frantically to his office after the sandpiper fiasco and trying to explain being sabotaged by Jimmy, we get a shot from above the stairs showing them spiraling
Just had a thought: there are textual patterns in how the episodes of seasons 1 and 6 are named (could be the case for the others but I'm not aware), with all of season 6's episodes up to the time leap being named ''something' and 'something'' and all of season 1's being named one word that ends with the letter 'O', with one exception (Alpine Shepherd Boy). 'O' is the letter that most resembles an infinitely repeating object/motion, like a spiral. Since it's the beginning of the story, it kinda feels relevant to the ideas outlined in this video, especially since 'Alpine Shepherd Boy', the one exception, is the episode that gets the ball rolling that starts the Sandpiper case, as if to call attention to it in the episode catalogue. I suppose the '&' symbol which means 'and' could also factor into the same idea with the season 6 naming convention, but then why wouldn't it just have the symbol instead of the written word 'and'? Idk, this video's great and ever since I noticed the 'O' thing in season 1 I've had no clue why it is that way until the idea just jumped at me.
That depends on if you think this show is a comedy or a drama in the classical notion. If it's a drama then yes, jail or worse. If it's a comedy then it will most likely be some form of redemption for him in the end. Im leaning towards the latter.
@@brieschdude it's obviously a drama. It's always been a drama just like breaking bad, it's just that its funnier and less violent than breaking bad. I dont see how that has anything to do with Jimmy's fate though, there's no way to know that yet. For all we know, he could redeem himself BECAUSE of turning himself in and going to jail.
Haha, A lot of reading! It's amazing what you can learn in a short amount of time. 3 years ago, most of the things I present in these videos was foreign to me!

Yup! Also when he is twisting the soda around and talking about centrifugal force. Sort of a spiral pattern as well. Nice find!
A revealing and valuable analysis. Well done, Michael.
Thank you, Geoff. Your book was of great assistance!

Criminally underwatched channel
Thanks for showing another layer to the Best written show on television!
Glad you liked it, thanks for watching!
Jesus dude I have been looking for a channel like this!! I have a feeling im going to be up all night
Toliets spiral too; there are lots of toliets.
You make a good point!
It's a metaphor of how everything has gone to shit too. The symbolism is laid on thicc
I’ve always taken the spiral to represent Jimmy making the same mistakes over and over again

Can't wait for season 6
Walt died, Jesse got his freedom. Is Jimmy going to end up in jail?

Wow, man! What a perfect analysis! Great work! Congratulations!
Thanks a ton!
8:18 Jimmy planned out the reveal of him manipulating the seniors, it was not unintentional
He said indirectly. He didn't directly confess it to them. He "confessed" it to someone else and had them hear it
Nice job
Well done
