I love how this game has an actual ongoing story
Damn that Frollo bit with Riku really got me excited
In short the reason why the lyrics are different is because Utada Hikaru felt that the original japanese versions wouldn't "feel" the same if she were to sign those lyrics in English and thus she changed the lyrics.
This is what happened with Hikari(JP)=Simple and Clean(English) and Passion(JP)=Sanctuary(English)

OH. MY. GLOB. The English trailer is finally here! I am so excited! I'm so glad to hear their English voices again! This game is going to make me cry! I can't handle how Roxas was talking it sounded so sad...
The game is made in such a way that you'll be expected to do both Sora's and Riku's stories side by side. For example: Play as Sora for a bit, you "drop" and play as Riku for a bit... Beat a world as Sora... then beat that same world as Riku.
Their stories intermingle, so they do take place in the same worlds, although the areas of each world may differ (For example, Sora will explore the mainland, while Riku explores inside Monstro for the "Trickster's Paradise" world)

I hadn't played the game yet, but I was keeping informed.
I get the feeling a lot of these clips were a lot more dramatic in Japanese then localised into English. Nonetheless, i'm glad to hear the voices of everyone - Sora, Riku, Yen Sid, Lea, Xigbar, Xemnas, Joshua, Neku... they all make a good act.
Dude.. This is the japanese trailer.. EXACTLY! but dubbed in english... Non-the-less.. I am still in awe and cant wait to get this game!!

Well, Normura did admit to changing 3D's entire landscape, as far as story progression goes. He originally had something else planned... Maybe, that's why he changed his mind... He watched Inception, and thought "Screw what I had in mind; THIS is Dream Drop Distance!"
Sora's voice is the same, it was 6 years ago that Kingdom Hearts 2 came out, so I can't blame that voices do change. Sora's voice will grow on some people. I'm still an avid Sora fan and always will be. I can't wait for this game to come out!
Sora, Riku, and Roxas, to me, sound just fine. Axel/Lea's voices changes a lot in the games so I was prepared for that. Neku sounds just like he usually does and Joshua sounds slightly higher-pitched, but I think he was meant to sound like that. I'm so excited for July 31 now!! Almost done playing TWEWY

He did speak. You probably skipped the tutorial or something because he said "This world is just too small." while facing back from the camera, towards the sea of sunset-lit Destiny Islands. Then after that one line, he turns into old Master Xehanort in an Organization XIII cloak carrying shirtless Ven in a white blanket. Ring any bells?
But yeah, I think that was the one time David spoke of when he voiced YMX as a cameo. KH3D definitely has a different voice actor for him.
You can't tell at all that Mickey's voice actor has changed during the KH series. He does a really good job!
OMG! Ben Diskin voicing young Xehanort! He voiced Numbah 1 and 2 from Codename:Kids next Door, Eddie Brock/Venom from The Spectacular Spider Man, Kai Miyagusuku from Blood+, and Sai from Naruto Shippuuden.

Mickey's VA nailed his lines, and so did Riku they both did great :) everyone should stop complaining about sora's voice cuz you know it'd never be he same if he wasn't voiced by haley Joel Osment :3
Sora and Riku have to go through this whole process of unlocking sleeping keyholes and stuff to become keyblade masters but 10 yrs. ago, Aqua and Terra just had to fight each other and some balls of light. Back then, they had it soooo easy.
Agreed. It's difficult, but listen closely; all the tones in the voice match up to his RIku voice, it just sounds very different when you're not analyzing it tone-by-tone.

His name's Aaron Spann, and he's voicing Joshua, who he voiced in The World Ends With You.
That's true, though it takes a certain amount of talent to get the emotion in his voice just right.
re:COM was released in 2008. Kingdom Hearts 2 was released in 2005 It's only a 3 year difference. Depending on the months it may be a bit less than 3 years. And Sora sounded different in coded in my opinion. It's been about 7 years since Kingdom Hearts II though. Haley's getting older so of course his voice is going to gradually change.

I must admit that I am surprised that Leonard Nemoy has come back again to help us out by voicing OMX (Old Master Xehanort). I thought that retired meant, well, retired
I thought the same.... in TWEWY he sounds just a tad bit deeper, but I guess if you have been away from the role for awhile, you tend to lose a little bit of the voice you had before. Look at Axel. His voice changed in every game, despite having the same voice actor.
I dont mind the voice changes or the dialogue change, Joshua's voice is still good. I feel a bit better that it's closer.

the japanese sora sounds so much more younger. the guy from the shining who plays sora, whoever it is, sounds way older then how i thought a young looking sora should sound. but stil, im excited for it to come out his summer.
P.S. I like how they still have to translate the battle scenes to english XD
They have, HJO has been voicing Sora for 10 years now. I hope they'll continue to bring Haley back. Only he can voice Sora.
I have gone and listened to BBS and then to this. That is DEFINITELY Gallagher. I'm damn near certain of it. He just deepened his voice out.
I know we all have seen the japanese version but man am I excited for this game! The only thing is, is that I don't have a 3DS

The consoles can support 3D. I've used my PS3 and 360 for 3D games and my PS3 for 3D blurays. It works. Of course its different from the 3DS, (as it requires 3DTVS and glasses) but it still runs pretty well considering it was updated to have usable 3D while being in the market for a considerable time while the 3DS was built with 3D in mind during its development. Still looking forward to this though, I'll get it once a new 3DS pops up when they redesign it like always.

David Gallagher's lucky... His voice hasn't really changed one bit! Ever since first maturing after 'Kingdom Hearts', and before 'Kingdom Hearts II' and 'Re:Chain of Memories', Osment's found himself in a constant struggle to make Sora's voice fit his maturity level! Darn Normura, constantly changing Sora's age with both prequels and sequels!
He's an actor. I wouldn't say its weird, rather that he's doing his job very well to disguise his original tongue.
i think the series gets a new song with each numbered title. there won't be a new song til KH3, so they've got to make do with what they have until then.
He also played Onion Knight in Dissidia.
And he's over 20 now.

OH! Right. I forgot about that. And I wasn't speaking about Gallagher mentioning voicing Young!Xehanort. I was actually speaking about what information Square had released on the game. So far as I can see, Gallagher is STILL listed as Young!Xehanort's actor in KH3D. But I haven't checked everywhere yet.

dont get me wrong i love the Utada Hikaru songs they've used throughout the games, both Simple and Clean and Sanctuary have definitely fit and set the mood, but i think its about time for a change...Utada has alot of other great songs that would go. and theres other songs out there by different artists in general that would be perfect for KH.

People seem to hate it but I actually think Joshua's voice suits him. xD
It's just about confirmed that Jeff Bridges had voiced 'Kevin Flynn/CLU' for this upcoming game... He and Olivia Wilde were confirmed together, while Garrett Hedlund has yet to be confirmed; however, I'm almost certain that Hedlund joined the cast as well. IMDb can be about as reliable as Wikipedia at times lol
I can't wait for this game to come out. The voice acting still remains good. Heck I don't mind if it's Fred Tatiscore voicing Kevin Flynn or Jeff Bridges, I like both guys.

Omg... this game looks amazing. I want it so badly. This is the reason why i got a 3DS.
Can't wait to learn more about Sora and all of them. But in the mean time, i'll go beat KH Days (the DS one with Roxas, i don't like calling it the actual name so i call it Days.)

To be fair, I would take either Fred Tatiscore or Jeff Bridges....I like both of them. Jeff made some good movie appearances, and Fred voices some of my favorite characters from video games.
Young MX seems like he's gonna have all the best dialouge in this whole game. Still waiting to hear more Judge Claude Frollo, Esmeralda, Flynn and of course Sora and Riku. I think Sora's Voice is a bit too high for his age (be it a dream or not) but Hayley is a really good actor so im sure they can make adjustments. I also heard from the creator hinself that this game DID feel rushed....
Yes, the gameplay here might be still japanese, but there's one English gameplay footage. Just look for "KH3D First English Footage", and you'll see.

You have that wrong. Yen Sid told Lea that the road isn't easy to becoming a Keyblade Wielder, Lea now has a Keyblade.

i cant stop my excitement, been watching being played in japanese but still i want this game soooo badly, i havent even beat recoded yet (dont really like it much) but i still want to play and beat this one Kingdom hearts you were my first game for ps2 psp and probably only game if i ever get the stupid 3ds

I still thoroughly believe that down the road at some point, we will see Sora battle Riku for one reason or another; one last time before the conclusion of the aptly named 'Xehanort saga'! It won't be in this game, but I'm sure that we will either play as Sora and battle Riku, or play as Riku and battle Sora by Kingdom Hearts III!

he did a year ago for recoded, but he wasnt trying to make himself sound childlike, he kept talking in his regulare kh2 tone of voice.

That's an indication of HJO's acting skill. :) He knows that in the Dream world, Sora is in his younger form, so he's making an effort to change the sound of his voice. That's just my guess.

It might be because of how young this version of Sora looks; he looks similar to 14 year old Sora we see in Re:CoM and KH1 than 14 year old Sora in KH2.
