    The Fever in the words of Patrick Gudauskas:
    *****
    "Overview: The Fever was born from a desire for an all-around performance board based on elements I love, Speed, Drive, and Flair. My Goal in designing this board with Mike Andrews and Channel Islands was to create a surfboard that I could surf in almost any conditions and have a hell of a good time on it. I wanted a more accessible Tour Performance board that anyone who jumped onto it would instantly feel the speed and zest for creativity.
    Conditions: I like to surf my Fever in anything from 2-3 foot softer California style beach break and point break waves, to 6ft+ World Tour style waves, like Snapper, J Bay, Bells, Lowers, Haleiwa, and Backdoor. I prefer to ride it just above my groveler/small wave board, and all the way until I need a step-up or round tail surfboard. "

    Got this board as well 2 months ago, i must say from the very surf I loved it ! But I found that it needs a 2 foot + and shape to really light up unless you have a pretty good level that enable you to really get speed off small waves, anything above it s so good and turn on a dime - I m just waiting for my Cab Sav to complete my little quiver !

      Oh also I was surprised that the sweet spot seems quite large compared to my ex LostV3 where i always struggled a bit to find it

    Love the reviews! Did you like the fever or og flyer better?

    • @brodykuhn6029
      @brodykuhn6029 Před rokem

      I prefer the fever. The OG Flyer is a Great Board but I find it to be very slow. The fever is much faster and can handle the same wave range if ridden correctly.

    What are your thoughts on PU vs EPS vs FlexBar for this board? I like the durability & float of eps but don’t want to sacrifice performance.

    • @brodykuhn6029
      @brodykuhn6029 Před rokem

      I would for sure go EPS. More flex, durability, and buoyancy. I would say eps is higher performance.

  • @henriquevert

    hi Craig... have you ever used Jordy Smith fins? They would be a more maneuverable alternative to AM Large when used at Fever.

    • @brodykuhn6029
      @brodykuhn6029 Před rokem

      That’s the setup I ride. I prefer it over the AM fins because of the larger base and thinner tip. Gives more Drive and a little more control and release.

  • @maynardlim9438
    @maynardlim9438 Před 4 lety

    Craig did you like the fever better than the black and white? BW seems to be faster down the line on paper from the lower entry rocker.

    • @brodykuhn6029
      @brodykuhn6029 Před rokem +1

      Personally I like the fever more. The fever is very fast even with more rocker because it has single concave throughout. It’s a little bit harder to ride than the b&w though. Also it can’t handle flat spots as well as the b&w. Any flat spots the fever loses its spark.

      @brentlee8085 Před 6 lety

      Yeah Craig, what is your weight? I got a Fever and I don't like it cause I think it's too much volume for me (I'm 175-180lbs and I got a 6'0" with Flex-bar). Thanks

    do u think this is a good board for indo

    • @brodykuhn6029
      @brodykuhn6029 Před rokem

      I think it would be great for the smaller flatter waves in indo. However a higher performance board would be preferred in indo because the waves are so perfect.

    how would this board compare to the og flyer

    • @SurferTy
      @SurferTy Před 3 lety +1

      The OG is wider and thicker. I love my OG but it is a little big. 19 1/2 wide 2 1/2 thick. Just pulled the dims off of mine, going to shape one myself, just slightly smaller in width and thickness
