Believing in causality of Swamiji or Newton's 3rd law of motion, for present sufferings in life will make a person docile and coward, who will never get motivated to fight back against people responsible for his sufferings. Do you think Bolshevik or French revolutions, would have ever happened, if majority of people would have believed in this theology? Never. All my sufferings are for my bad works in past life, for which I can't do anything and hence, should continue to suffer and remain docile, so that apple cart is not disturbed. What a grand theological teaching is this indeed. Swamiji and his philosopher friend of Kolkata appear to be great believer in this theory of causality.

After a long search my queries are solved.. but still one question what about cruelties on children, rape and physical abuse etc, even murder, is this also the result of karma?
😇Who am I? What am I? By understanding the teachings of Vedanta, if I have come to the complete realisation that I am NOT the body/mind complex. If I realise I am the witness, pure consciousness. I am Sat, Chit, Ananda. I am immortal spirit. If I am completely detached. If I accept that everything happens according to the law Karma, of cause & effect. But if I am NOT the DOER, the KARTA. If I live this present life, completely detached, being the WITNESS, the OBSERVER of all that happens to this body/mind complex. Knowing that all happens now to this body/mind complex is according to Karmic Law. Just let it all happen! I am not involved at all. Can the law of Karma still affect me or is it all ISHVARA? What is my position then with regard to rebirth & the law of Karma? Surely there must be a point of freedom for everyone, an end to all suffering who has been projected into Samsara! Can I use the intellect, the Buddhi in this body/mind complex now to work out that there is no death for me? That I truly am immortal spirit? 🤔
But does it mean that the separate entity of soul or self persists, and gets carried away in next birth or is it the sukshm sharir that carries these tendencies and if it's the astral body and not the self then what is the point of it, plz explain revered Swami ji🙏
Ok, say I accept your log of karma and memory doesn't give me enough will power to do the wrong. Ok, now I accept my mistake and now I will commit to correct the wrong i.e. all I can do. Please show me option for incremental correction and incremental betterment
I don't agree with past and future life theory... But the truth karma we do can trigger consequences for future generations like the karma done by the past generations affecting us now... This karma is true for the entire humanity as a whole with individuals getting results in a random fashion...is it not?
Law of karma is something peculiar of Hinduism. Who is keeping record of karma and who is deciding for which karma one should be awarded and for which karma one should be punished? Besides, there are three different types of karma: prarabdha, sanchita, and kriyamana or agami. Prarabdha karma is experienced through the present body and is only a part of sanchita karma which is the sum of one's past karmas, and agami karma is the result of current decisions and actions. With all these complications, does it appear that law of karma is workable? Besides, what is definition of bad karma and what definition of good karma is. I am not aware of any penal code of karma. Why was Law of karma conceptualized? Is it a trick to keep people submissive and not to protest against the system, with hope that all will be good in next life?
Can someone who understands the topic good enough, please explain me one thing. All the great masters say that there is no free will. Also the science of the behaviour now says that. How does it go hand by hand with the law of karma? The sentence "Good get the good, and bad get the bad and no one escapes the law" how can it be true? If i dont have any free will. If i dont choose the invironment i grow up in, dont choose the traumas, dont choose anything.
This is where the importance of spirituality. Only once u start looking inwards you will realize you have the power to take charge of your destiny else one just lives at the mercy their tendencies meaning no freewill. For example, suppose one has a tendency to be angry if criticized, he will be slave to that tendency and he keeps on doing the action/karma of getting angry at the situation/persons whenever he feels he is being criticized, there by acquiring more bad points. And these actions, though of no free will, will have consequences in his life as they are subject to the law of karma. But the moment he realizes and recognizes this tendency, then he can choose to keep the good tendencies and change the bad tendencies
One thing is very surprising that in day to day life suppose one has to undergo an operation he would thoroughly enquire about the doctor his qualifications etc.before surrendering himself to him on operation table. But in spiritual field which is most mysterious of all knowledge we do not do this type of enquiry about the Self proclaimed master and start running after him with blind faith and get cheated and waste our whole life. Thousands in Americans are running after Sw. Sarvpriyananda but nobody dare ask him the direct question ARE YOU ESTABLISHED IN ULTIMATE WISDOM AND FREEDOM????????? Because teaching is very easy if one has complete knowledge but spiritual teaching will not generate any result if the teacher himself is not established in ultimate state.
Whoever that was that said "you would cut off his other leg if you found out what he did in a past life" is a rotten and evil person. I would have no association with a wicked person who would think in such a way. That is just disgusting.
You seem from a good high profile family still you have taken a bramhachaari life. Were you sufferring so much? Or was it to practice more about knowing urself? Y are you moving into almost living a life of renouncing and loneliness? Still you are teaching?
For example a student passes one exam with flying colors and get job basis on that and enjoy on the salary. Another student passes exam and do not enjoy but take up more difficult exam and works hard for that. Now one student enjoying and other still studying hard. So he already passed lot of exams in his last lives and got chance to enjoy this life but he is not enjoying materially and again putting himself for higher exams.

I have gone through tough times. What has helped me is to forget past life and do good in this life. I am seeing positive results in this life.
