    I did a preivious video with a little more information on lithium batteries in it here's a link to that video

    I installed 2 x 100AH Ionic batteries in my 2022 Lund 1875 Impact. I run a 24 V MinnKota Ulterra. I am so impressed by this technology that I am installing another 12 v 100 AH battery solely to run my graphs (A Humminbird Solix 12 and a Helix 10).
    The Ionic Battery has bluetooth that tells you the actual amount of charge left, so getting surprised does not happen.
    Soendy ? Yep. Worth every dime tho.

      @winnesotafishing  Před 7 měsíci

      I will be doing the same as far as getting a dedicated battery for my graphs. I am hoping to add another Helix this spring. I was unaware of the bluetooth features available I am definitely going to look into Ionic Batteries.
      Thanks for the heads up.

    I bought two 100AH LFP batteries, connected them in series, and realized I could probably fish 5 or 6 full days between charging, but I don't use my trolling motor a ton while fishing. I actually used those for a different project and built a dedicated 50AH, 24v battery, from component parts. Only cost about $300, at the time.

    I use my trolling motor hard for downrigging lake trout. Run at about speed 7. Even with 3 lead acids wired together it doesn't take long for full power to drop off. Seriously considering this.

    • @winnesotafishing
      @winnesotafishing  Před 5 měsíci

      It was in this particular case. Obviously how you are fishing and weather play a huge role. Also I only have a 16.5' boat that is pretty light so doesn't require as much power to control. The difference between a regular lead acid battery and a lithium battery is huge. I would recommend lithium to anyone thinking about making the switch.

    I have 24 volt for trolling motor and other 12 volt for dash lithiums I run 12 volt lead acid for the 70 hp yammy I travel from Florida summer to Massachusetts then back to Florida winter I fish down and back taking a month each way. I tow with a B+ RV. The goog thing about the lithium is that I can fish three weeks with them no trolling without a charge, The bad things about lithium, dont get them wet a half inch of water in the battery box will kill the battery dead will not take a charge not covered under warranty this happen twice with my 24 volt Dakota Lithium. The 12 volt Dakota I use for the dash mostly two fish locators for no reason went to with volt meter point five o .50 volts had to jump start that 12 volt lithium with a 12 jumper box to get the battery management system inside battery to allow the battery to take a charge seen on you tube . You CANNOT ship a lithium battery back to the place of purchase for warranty consideration in order to do the shipment you by law have to have a has mat dangerous no air freight stickers that third person cannot get tried five times five different shipment places battery was returned to me at my house in Massachusetts I of course was in or on the way to Florida back up lead acid batteries are a must.
