Hey Jeff I’m Kansas City it actually goes into Missouri for a bit. Allows you to drive over the river for a mile or two. Kind of cool to see the entering Missouri sign

I live in Wichita so this was so fun to watch, especially since I’ve made this exact drive multiple times, and my mom always would say something when we pass the bazaar cattle pens. That was definitely a weird surreal moment to hear you mention them😂

As a class A driver, I can appreciate the attention to detail in this Sims. The Cascadia Freightliner is one of the trucks I drive. And the sounds of the blinkers, aswell as the blind spot monitoring system is spot on. I definitely turn mine off after a while, tho. Lol
Loving how close they got the airport to look like how it’s laid out in real life! Even the entrance roads and cargo area off to the side are exactly how you see it when you are driving into the airport area!

you got off easy on the toll. current rate is 35.75 cash 26.60 with the ktag. and fastest trip to Wichita i've ever seen. wish i could get down there in 15 min. and your expression on seeing the wichita airport is the same feeling i got when you pulled into hays.
Great video! Yeah $21 is about right, full ride from Kansas City to Oklahoma State line is 50 bucks.
They modeled that airport perfectly, and where you unloaded those cars is actually the Enterprise shop where they clean and repair all of their rental cars. I’ve towed a lot of rentals in and out of there so it was crazy seeing you drive up to it!
He always gives us something to watch and never leaves us hanging.
I don’t usually care for ATS since I’m a truck driver myself, but I might have to hop on for the Kansas DLC since it’s my state. Pretty cool to see, I didn’t think we would ever get in the game when I was playing this 5 years ago

SCS did the old version of the interchange at I35 and US400. Nice to see Kansas though and how we’re getting more into the Midwest! Kansas is indeed very flat but the Flint Hills (where the cattle pens were) is a very pretty drive.

The Kansas Turnpike if you pick it up in Wichita and take it all the way to KC it will cost a passenger vehicle about 15 bucks. So I would imagine since they charge by the axle that it would cost 21 bucks for a tractor trailer.

As a truck driver from Kansas and I drive here everyday, it's amazing at how accurate and great everything looks! They did a fantastic job. I wish Chanute was added with the Ash Grove cement plant and Coffeyville was added with Coffeyville Resources fuel refinery!
The highway goes through there even though the town isn't listed there might be landmarks still
they dont got 169 construction lol. coffeyville ai traffic wouldnt be anything close to the real tweaker traffic...lmao we hual down to the port, was thinking of getting kansas and oklahoma but didn't know if oklahoma has the port?
@CarlJohnson-km8zr you're not kidding lol idk tbh. I haven't played the game in about 2 years, I'm an o/o based out of chanute hauling cement. But I'd think they would have the port of catoosa, that's a large industry to not have it
They have galena as a hidden city which is cool

Hey Jeff hope you're doing well. I'm not sure if you heard of this game but you should check out Truck and Logistics Simulator. It's a game that's been out on PC for awhile now. They just released it on console a few day's ago and our console trucker prayers have been answered. It's great we finally have a good trucking sim on console.
You can drive all types of cars, vans and semi combinations. You use all types of different equipment to load the vehicle's with. The game plays flawlessly smooth. The physics are great. There's also 24 player multiplayer which also plays amazing.
This game was made by a tiny studio of only 5 devs. The potential for this game is huge. I know how you like to support smaller up and coming games. I really think you'll enjoy this game. Really love your content man 💪🏽.
I started playing a couple days ago. This game is an amazing change on driving sims. Picked up my first truck, the first freightliner and threw some upgrades on it and gonna buy my first trailer soon just gotta take care of the loan for the truck first
Also, I'm a native Kansan that doesn't live there anymore. This dlc might give me this Kansas fix I need lol
Jeff! When im dropping a trailer in ATS, ill pull up slightly, lower the rear of the truck, and pull out from under it once I know its on the landing gear. I wanted to pass the idea because you do so much like checking the trailer lights and brakes. Thanks for being a legend!
Hey Jeff, thanks for the additional preview video for Kansas! The automotive plant you visited in the beginning is known as the Fairfax GM Assembly plant, formerly known as the BOP (Buick, Olds, Pontiac) plant! They have appeared to have modeled the Fairfax industrial district around the GM plant, which is super neat. The fact that those Caliber SUV’s look very similar to Chevy Suburbans is very convenient… lol. Although irl, this plant manufacturers smaller Buick and Cadillac crossovers. It also serves as a hub and distribution lot for Chevy Malibu’s (yes, brand new ones still circulate!)

That collision mitigation sounds realistic 😂 I hated that back when I use to drive. The breaks would slam because of bridges

That part of emporia is extremely accurate with the truck stop and rv park.
Completely agree with you the AI. They will think NOTHING about coming to a complete, dead stop to let traffic on the ramps onto the highway.
I like that they replicated the Kansas Turnpike toll plazas here, even though they'll be soon replaced with all electronic tolling
The price is pretty accurate, Kansas goes by axle, lived here all my life, and my company "millennium concepts" is on the east side of the bridge you went under right by the airport. We make airplane parts. Other than distance to travel, it's pretty accurate. Loved it.
If only you could go from Topeka to KC to Wichita so fast. What takes hours only takes seconds. It is true to life what is shown.
That toll is 100% accurate. The turnpike from KC to Wichita is expensive as hell. They charge by the axle.
Looks awesome Jeff ! Cannot wait for this new DLC tomorrow. I play in VR and the immersion is incredible, worth the sacrifice for the not quite so good graphics, saying that the Quest 3 visuals are pretty good. Cheers for another great video, Daz, Leicester UK.

Will be a first day purchase for me, and it according to the announcements there is a new DLC being released along side the Kansas DLC called Farm Machinery. ATS has long been a "shut up and take my money" sim for me for years LOL!

Tolls are generally based on the number of axles, so CMVs usually pay more

It looks like they did the Flint Hills justice at least. Traveled that bit of highway many, many times on my way to and from college and home.
It’s pretty cool to see. I live around wichita and I’m working on that very highway putting up wrong way signs, one of our turn around points is the Bazaar cattle pens. This map looks great, damn near exactly how it looks in real life! Definitely not a 1:1 scale but if I saw this video without sound I’d be able to guess where it is.

First automatic I drove IRL was one of those cascadias and the collision prevention system was not adjustable and it would put you out the windshield it was bad. Other then that loved that truck

The toll from Kansas City to Wichita where you got off the toll for commercial trucks (paying cash) is actually $21 lol. With a Ktag it's about $15!
16:26 Yep, Welcome to Kansas where KC to Wichita is $21 on the route you took instead of bypassing Topeka and took 35 down to Emporia (coulda saved ya $15). Driving in Kansas ain't cheap

i think the toll prices are pretty accurate for kansas the toll prices on the pa turnpike are based on the weigh of your car/truck

So Jeff you mentioned in your twitch stream that you wish they had a original day/night mod.... there is one on Steam workshop called "Actual Day-/Nighttime Mod", also you might be interested in a mod called "fog lights for SCS trucks" also on Steam Workshop.
If i may make a suggestiin for a great graphics mod that i feel you will absolutely love Jeff, it is the brutal weather and graphics mod, it is on steam and my goodness dies it do wonders, it even adds the reflections on the ground, it is amazing and i definetely reccommend as it definetely fixes the biggest complaint i have where it does not have the reflections when it rains in base game, plus it really enhances the sky oxes to where they are even more stunning
You should try plumpete fov mirror mod. It’s in the workshop. Bout the best one in my opinion.
Just wait until Jeff goes to the North East. The toll rates here are a bit wild too. Through NYC and Boston can get you a hefty amount of fare to pay

I'm sure Springfield will be. Joplin should be since it's so close to OK. I'm sure KC, STL, Columbia/Jefferson City will be in it. I'm from SEMO so I hope Cape Girardeau is in it. Perhaps Sikeston since it's where I-57 starts.
My prediction for Missouri cities based on ATSs normal way of doing things:
Main cities:
Saint Louis
Kansas City
Jefferson City / Columbia
Springfield
Rolla
Sedalia
Hannibal
Poplar Bluff
Areas that are separate IRL but appear as part of another city in game:
Joplin (part of Springfield)
Jeff City / Columbia (whichever isn’t the main city shown as part of the other)
Farmington / Park Hills (part of STL)
-I’m guessing on each of these because nowhere in MO is particularly close to somewhere else to be a suburb IRL but it’s going to be at like 1/20 scale…
Small towns we can drive through but aren’t actually cities in game:
Mexico / Kingdom City (both probably isn’t likely)
Sikeston or Cape G, again both probably isn’t likely
Salem / Viburnum ONLY if they want to include some mining industry. They’d be likely to have both of these appear as one place if this is important to SCS.
Mountains Grove / Winona / Van Buren - they’re only going to do one but if they don’t do either of the 3, US60 will be absolutely empty from Springfield to Poplar Bluff. I’d hope they do Van Buren for the river scenery.
West Plains - to lead in from AR to US60
Branson because why tf would they not include Branson.
And finally somewhere around Warsaw to break up the KC to SPFD monotony.
@@L0VTX_H8CAKCMO is actually completely modelled and accessible with the Kansas DLC. You have to use mods or console commands to get further into KCMO though
Yep the 21 dollar toll is what you pay as a driver some states are higher in total cost me 43 dollars to go to Oklahoma to Tulsa and back out to Missouri
Just drove through Kansas on my way down to Texas from Wisconsin. Kansas was beautiful but man get gas before you need it otherwise you are screwed.
