I love all of the Harry Potter soundtracks, but Half Blood Prince has this sort of dark and twisted beauty to it that I find addicting.
It's the one that's Tim Burton esce, that is very much like exactly the book

That's why Half-Blood Prince is my favorite movie of the series, the ambience is both beautiful and melancholic, especially because it was their last year of school and they more or less knew it.

This soundtrack is not dedicated on Harry and Harmoinie but in general on youth . Watch the scene when this soundtrack is played...first Hermione weeps on Harry's shoulder, then Ron is seen kissing , and at last Malfoy seen as alone. The scene was beautifully shot showing how Malfoy was so alone and sad being deprived of youthfulness. That's why this soundtrack sound romantic, sad and tingling at the same time.

This song truly captures how it feels to be sad as a teenager. Being alone, desperate and not really knowing what to do or where to go. Beautifully sad and touching.

This sounds like what I feel when I look through my telescope. When you catch a galaxy in its circle, it becomes a personal, close, and tender kind of dance to observe it. My OTP!! It's almost as if you can tangibly feel Harry and Hermione's love for each other in this track. Whether it's romantic, familial, or just as friends, these two definitely have a very strong love for each other, one that has complete comfort and few boundaries between them. They know each other completely and they don't fear any judgment from the other. It's so beautiful!

I’m from Italy, I would like to explain what I’m thinking about this great soundtrack for a great scene in my mother tongue...
È stata una delle scene più toccanti di tutta la saga. Ricordo che andai a vedere il film in un cinema di Livigno, ero in vacanza... Ricordo anche che all’epoca non mi piacque granché, con il senno di poi avrei sicuramente apprezzato molto di più la pellicola. Avendo riletto e rivisto di recente il sesto capitolo, mi sono reso conto di quanto fosse stupenda la sequenza in cui Hermione cerca conforto in Harry, mentre Ron gode delle attenzioni di Lavanda... in quel mentre viene inquadrato Draco, solo, sulla torre di astronomia. Ho davvero apprezzato moltissimo anche la scelta di questa meravigliosa opera musicale, è semplicemente perfetta per quel momento.

This soundtrack always made me cry, especially the scene, which is my favourite part of this movie... Not just because of the music, but why it was played too. When Hermione asked Harry how it felt when he saw Ginny with someone else, wanting to confirm she's not alone in this cuz of Ron... And then after she lashed out at Ron and started crying on Harry's shoulder as he said "it feels like this"....
It hurt... Cuz I could relate to it.. myself watching someone I love be with someone else... And there's nothing you can really do about it, but just live with it... Instantly as that scene happened, I saw myself in this as well...
This soundtrack is really bittersweet to me. I love how calming and peaceful it is, while at the same time brings lot of sorrow with it. Music in the HP movies always are masterfully done.

Just because they are good together, doesn't mean there was any chemistry. I think their love was something much different, like a sister and a brother, and I think Ron and Hermione always bickering was just indicative of their obsession with each other. The whole Ginny thing is questionable, but that's attraction for you!

haunting, dreary, dreamlike yet sweet
This is unironically my favourite scene in the movie. Hermione crying over Ron. The dark depressing tone as the snow silently lands around them. The camera then panning out to show Malfoy, standing alone in his own even worse struggle. Isolated from everyone in a empty tower. Our childhood friends are also growing up along us, and heartache, anxiety and depression becomes more familiar as we aswell grow up with them. You can feel the sadness, remembering back to simpler times with goofy toilet trolls and dining in the great hall.
The world around them is surrounded by death and sadness (winter, snow, night). The color scheme also shows this, with darkbrown from the castle walls and snow white as bone being the only remarkable colors. it truly conveys in emotion that this movie isn’t as ‘feel good’ as the others and builds up the inevitabel tragedy you either knew about or could feel would happen just by this track.
Its by far the scene I remember most vividly as a kid. Even moreso than Dumbledores death.
Foreboding would be the best word to describe this entire sequence.

Harry and Hermione could've had a beautiful romance. They both understood each other deeply and were there for each other when no one else was. It just seems like it would have been a very natural and satisfying part of the story, unlike Harry and Ginny's relationship, or whatever it was that was supposed to be happening between them lol. I wasn't the least bit convinced, unfortunately.
Ginny is a bully in the books
Yes, but fitting in with someone doesn't mean you'd want to bang her/him, or marry her/him. You can simply love someone who understands you perfectly, like Harry and Hermione did. But there wasn't any atraction, and that is fundamental in a romantic relationship.
These two would have been a great couple. I think they were perfectly matched. It seemed so natural and obvious.
Are you crazy? Hermione and Ron were perfect by the end. And so were Ginny and Harry. Ginny was more compatible with Harry taking to consideration she was outgoing and had an affinity for flying and Quidditch. Which sadly Hermione never understood, She even has an argument with Ginny on how overrated Quidditch is, which Happy and Ginny believe otherwise.
I just don't like how Ginny and Harry's relationship is portrayed in the movie.
