      And most importantly, the statement you made saying "the mother has no contribution to the transfer of traits to the offspring just because females contain only X-chromosomes and not Y" is completely wrong. There are hundreds of traits carried by the 22 pairs of autosomes (non-sex chromosomes) in addition to the sex chromosomes (X and Y). The Y chromosome primarily carries genes related to male reproductive health and male characteristic development, affecting only male offspring. For example, eye color is not determined by the Y chromosome but by chromosome 15. Furthermore, your claim that hair color is not transferred from the mother, or that the mother has zero contribution, is incorrect. Hair color is determined by multiple genes on different chromosomes, including the X chromosome, which is inherited from the mother. Therefore, the mother significantly contributes to the hair color of her offspring, as both sons and daughters inherit an X chromosome from the mother, while sons inherit their sole X chromosome from the mother. Additionally, mitochondrial DNA is always transferred from the mother and never from the father.
      Therefore, I urge you not to spread misinformation in the name of science, especially when relating religion and tradition to science. Speaking with extra confidence does not turn incorrect information into fact. Ensure you conduct thorough research, including reading numerous credible articles and scientific papers.
      Before wrapping up, I want to add one more thing. The topic of inter-clan marriage is not as important or serious and is not a foolproof practice for genetic health. In contrast, the issue of first-cousin marriage is a much more serious matter, prevalent in Nepali communities such as the Gurung, Magar, and Tamang, where people marry the son or daughter of their paternal aunt (fupu) or maternal uncle (mama). This practice is a more relevant and critical topic in the context of genetic disorders and the transmission of genetic diseases.

      We cannot avoid paternal as well as maternal lineage because we're connected, sharing a common gene pool.
      But, at least we can avoid paternal lineage reducing the risk of genetic anomalies to 50% if we avoid marrying within same gotra or surname.
      But, maternal lineage is difficult to trace for more than 5-7 generations as surnames and gotra vary, thus potential maternal lineage above 7 generations are accepted.
      At least the risk of genetic defects is avoided by more than 50% if paternal lineage is completely avoided, and the material lineage is avoid for at least 5-7 generations.

    I am not sure how factual your arguments are, first The concept of gotras, and Rishis, Isn't it flawed, I don't think only 7 gotras are enough to explain the variability of Hindu genes, also what is the evidence that backs the assumption-Same gotras belongs to similar genomes, even if we accept the seven gotras, I think it is not good source to track our genes, In history There may have many clashes, mutations and changes, Yes the offspring with similar genes
    is mostly defective, or has many mutations, but for that even at 2nd degree relative the chance that something happens is 5%, so if we are seeing a such a huge group I mean gotras, it is very less likely that you are close to 2nd degree, The best way to know if someone is suitable for mating is finding if there are any point of intersection in their family tree and how much generation ago was it, as I already said gotras try to do that I mean track the genes but Hinduism is vague, so making choice on behalf of that is plain stupidity,
    tracking the family is hard job but is not impossible, like we have that in records (probably),most of us know three generation of our ancestors, also seeing the location and place where you are from or migrated and where she is from and migrated, could also give you good conclusion, but #myopinion if the person you are seeing is not your relative, and no connection between the family is found, I'll say it's pretty safe, same gotras can be considered as a factor I mean it could denote that there is probability of you being related, but it isn't 100%, am I saying it is safe, No, but I can say the risk is very low. BTW I appreciate your video, but it could have been better if you gave sources and research.

    • @apildev6969
      @apildev6969 Před měsícem +5

      @@sahilajha4179 100 is also not enough(probably) the population of hindus is 1.2 billion, divide that by 100, it give 12 million, or let say a large number, considering the growth rate with the compound % growth, (compound cause the family tree grows exponentially)a family has 6 members and it gives 5 at frist then the rate of change in the fertility rate as -00.2, and since each member has a son that will have son, so the growth is exponintal, how longwill it take to reach 12 million, running this gives initial_population = 6
      fertility_rate = 5
      rate_of_change = 0.02
      minimum_fertility_rate = 2
      target_population = 5000000
      generation_span = 10
      population = initial_population
      generation = 0

      fertility_rate = minimum_fertility_rate
      generation += 1
      years = generation * generation_span
      print(years)
      print(population)
      it takes 80 years to reach 9 million, and 90 year to reach 50 million, see where am I going, this is very unfair calculation, I know, but see the Time and population, with this numbers + migrations + inbreeding and another factors 100 is too less, sorry if My calculations are wrong, I also sus the Way I did it but I thing that least gives a plain Idea

      In Nepal atleast, I can confirm that all people of घृतकौशिक गोत्र share the same paternal ancestor named अनुक्रम द्विवेदी (दुबे) as per modern ancestral research as well as lineage texts (वंशावली). This gotra's history is just ¬600 years old in Nepal. They still share a lot of genes together. So, the risk is not negligible. It is still present. Please try not to promote inbreeding.

    A. Sex chromosomes X and Y do not fuse, they just come together to form babies.
    B. Bloodline traits are only carried by Y chromosome is not correct at all. If that was the case then no daughter will inherit character from parents or they pass to offspring. Traits you've mentioned like hair color, eye color, these are determined by autosomal (22 pairs) chromosome other than X/Y

    Just landed on your channel and saw your content. Please check facts before using the word "scientific" for whatever thing our ancestors came up with. The hair color is determined by MC1R gene, which is an autosomal gene, so it's not present in any of the sex chromosome. Also, even if it was, the markers for the gene are expressed as an effect of both the sex chromosomes.
    The Gotras phenomenon is just to avoid interbreeding, but it doesn't make sense after multiple generations. I know a couple of people and friends who've married into the same gotras but have perfectly fine children.

    X and Y chromosomes have nothing to do with this. The genetic disease manifest in genes expect the X and Y chromosomes i.e autosomal genes. Suppose your family line has a faulty gene...the faulty gene usually gets supressed by the normal gene variant...now if your parents had a consanguineous marriage..the probability that you inherit that faulty gene from both of your parents increases. ( Because yr parents belong to same family line). If ur father was of a different family line, the normal gene variant of your father would supress the faulty gene or the recessive gene, in medical terms.
    Thus explains many such autosomal recessive disease in countries like Pakistan, where there are hugh consanguineous marriage.
    And yes, the entire concept of we, being the descent of Sapta Rishi is not factually proven. Consanguineous marriages resulting in genetic disorder is scientifically proven.
    Great video, otherwise. Subscribed.

    Brother please go to college, attend lectures, read some books in genetics and may be also some of our history too, not mythological ones.
    And then make youtube videos.
    There was some truth in ur video but the whole concept of genetics was wrong and lets not go into the debate of ancetral history of Nepal. So, it doesn't make sense at all..
    Just for a head start into ur leaning: read about autosomal chromosomes and x linked chromosomes and the inheritance patterns i.e dominant and recessive in different conditions.
    Also, don't let someone u love go away just becoz of gotras and fear of genetic conditions, the probability of becoming disable by accident is far more high than being born disabled due to sole genetics but that will not stop you to let your kids go outside, isn't it? It is about being careful, not stupid.

    Why are you adding the background music on your videos , its deteriorating your content. The content is good and presentation is also commendable but the addition of background music had made it irrelevant.

    अब गोत्र कै कुरा गर्दा र सप्तऋषि ब्रह्मा भगवान सन्तान हुन् र ब्रह्मा भगवानको जन्म विष्णु भगवानको नाभी बाट भएको हो र यस अनुसार हामी सबै विष्णु भगवानका सन्तानहरू हौ।
    त्यसैले विवाह हैन ब्रह्मचर्य धर्मको पालना गर्दा उचित होला ।😂😂😂

    नमस्कार !! यहाँ केहि अपूर्ण तथा केहि गलत जानकारी फैलिन गयो जस्तो लाग्यो मलाइ । गोत्र (clan) को अवधारणाले मात्र आनुवंशिक भिन्नता वा दुई व्यक्तिहरू बीचको पुस्ताको अन्तरलाइ निर्धारण गर्दैन। फरक-फरक गोत्रभित्र विवाह गरेर मात्रै सधै आनुवंशिक विकारको(Genetic disorder) प्रसारबाट बच्न सकिन्छ भन्ने चाहि हुदैन । कहिलेकाहीँ, निश्चित गोत्रहरू बीचको निरन्तर विवाहको सिलसिलाले ले वास्तवमा पुस्ताको अन्तरलाई नजिक पारेको पनि हुन सक्छ र यसले आनुवंशिक विविधता कम गर्न सक्छ र पूर्णतया फरक गोत्रका व्यक्तिहरू बीच पनि कहिले काही आनुवंशिक रोग निम्त्याउने गरी एकदमै थोरै मात्र पुस्तान्तर हुन पनि सक्छ। तसर्थ, आनुवंशिक विकारहरू रोक्नको लागि आफ्नो गोत्र बाहिर मात्र विवाह गर्नु वैज्ञानिक रूपमा ग्यारेन्टी दिने अभ्यास भने होइन।
    सबैभन्दा राम्रो दृष्टिकोण भनेको कम्तीमा सात पुस्ता भन्दा धेरै अन्तर सुनिश्चित गरेर विभिन्न जाति र भौगोलिक क्षेत्रका व्यक्तिहरूसँग विवाह गर्नु हो जसले आनुवंशिक विविधतालाई बढावा दिन र आनुवंशिक विकारहरूको जोखिम कम गर्न सक्छ।

    Interesting but people of different gotras have been marrying for thousands of years. So, I don't buy into the theory that people of one gotra will have the same kind of defect. It was a societal construct that perhaps made people safer. If 100 years ago, someone migrated to another village and found people of the same gotra, then they must have felt relieved thinking someone knew their caste, culture, etc. In the past Hinduism was known as a culture which embraced different ideas but now we are taking those ideas as if they were written in stone and it's sad to see it.
