The Civil War Battle of Perryville was the only significant battle of the civil war to take place in Kentucky. It was a tactical win for the Confederates but not a success in that the Confederates left Kentucky for good in the days following the battle.

I live just a hour away. I’ve never been there mainly because I don’t know enough about the battle to really appreciate it. Other places I can see where the men were ect but Perryville I’m clueless. Without a guide or tour I’d be lost 🤷‍♂️

Going to be there this weekend with Washington artillery. I'm going to do Confederate this one. Should be spectacular. Beautiful weather projected and everyone will be there.

The Confederates would have won if it weren't for the tremendous amount of union soldiers that overwhelmed them.
