    when you get right down to it, everybody should remember that r-truth is one of the greatest pro wrestlers of all time. i'm not even joking. at every point in his career he could be plausibly putting on main event matches as a serious credible contender for the world title, or he could be the funniest and most entertaining man in literally ANY match or scene, anywhere on the show. he's so implausibly good at every single skill set someone could have in the business it's ridiculous. and he looks and moves the way he currently does at FIFTY-TWO. man is a beast and a genius and a freak.

    So does that make the royal rumble like the pro bowl? Just curious

    • @thedragonsnortchannel2609
      @thedragonsnortchannel2609 Před 2 měsíci +1

      I'd argue that the Royal Rumble would be similar to the Conference Championships because whoever wins their respective Rumbles will be next in line to challenge the top champions at WrestleMania. SummerSlam I would compare to either the Stanley Cup playoffs or the NBA playoffs because it takes place in the summer and provides fans with some entertainment that will carry over into the fall. Now Survivor Series I'd argue is the closest to a Pro Bowl equivalent in WWE because your best and brightest stars are representing their respective brands against each other. That's the way I see it

    That's not! true. The Simpsons have been around for 35 or 36 years. Going back to the late 80's. Raw started in 1993. If you wanna say more episodes that's true. Bc the Simpsons takes breaks between each season. Raw is a continuous show.

    Ok, wrestling aficionados, what wrestling group was on tv in the 70s? I'm talking pre Hulk Hogan. That's the wrestling I remember, and it was AWFUL. Sorry, Tom and Perna. I was scarred for life.

      There was lots of wrestling promotions till Vince McMahon bought or ran them to the ground the was Georgia championship wrestling mid South wrestling etc

    • @SwannyTheMike

      It depends on where you lived. Pro wrestling used to have "Territories", where several wrestling promotions divided the regions up amongst themselves to create local monopolies while pretending that they were the "real" top promotion while secretly cooperating as the National Wrestling Alliance. Off the top of my head, you had World Class Championship Wrestling (the one that Zac Efron movie The Iron Claw is about), Georgia Championship Wrestling, Mid-Atlantic Championship Wrestling, Championship Wrestling from Florida - a whole lot of "championship wrestling" really. Sometimes the territory was the whole state, sometimes it was just part of it. The neat thing is that each territory sort of had its own "style". In Memphis, it was all about over-the-top characters in deathly serious blood feuds, Portland was all about portraying it as a serious sport, etc.
      The whole agreement was already starting to crack before the 80s. Politicking over which territory's top guy would get the NWA World Heavyweight Championship and the concept of national syndication was pushing things to a breaking point, but Vince McMahon and Hulk Hogan (who Vince actually poached from another company looking to do the same) ripped the whole establishment down with the help of Cyndi Lauper. Fans are still divided to this day about whether or not that was a good thing. Hope this helped a bit and isn't just an incoherent nerd ramble!
