Beautiful images respect to you Roger for your enthusiasm for the film community your inspiring video are converting photographers back to the world of different emulsions
Cheers Jonny. That was a good shoot
You are a good man Roger!
That final result is beautiful Roger .
Cheers Clive.
Another great video and images! You and Martin have really been my inspiration for getting back into film!
Some of your best work! All that glass and mechanics, shows what a box with a hole in it can do! As you say “ it is what it is “!!! Loved the shot with one rock on it though!!! Cheers for the video !
Cheers Rod. Took ages to select that rock! Lol
I love pinhole pictures
Beautiful prints. Spot on about the cold and the homeless.
Great video Roger. Thank you for freezing your fingers to make it. Super job on the photos!!!
Beautiful 😍😍😍😍😍😍😍
Love your channel and videos mate - got into film recently shot and developed my first 2 rolls recently. Your vids have been really motivating and helpful, keep it up!
Cheers Harry, nice one.
The shot at 2:23. WOW!
I had the tripod wedged on stones so it didn't move as the water gushed in
Brilliant results as usual, thanks, Roger
Encore une fois, magnifique travail !
Enjoyed the vidéo Roger, and love the print!
That’s a really nice image Roger and a great print😁👍
Wonderful image!
Lovely prints, every one!
Very nice - have ordered a print!
Makes my heart pop a little extra when i find a new video from SFLAB...enjoy your work and the darkroom sessions...
Thanks Bjorn!
I love pinhole and have never used such a slow film ... you ARE the boss!!!
Lol, cheers Brian.
Silly o‘clock ... I know that exact daytime since we‘ve adopted a dog from a shelter and spend our early mornings at the lonesome beach of our Baltic Sea coast where I live.
I feel for you! Hope your dog is doing well
@@ShootFilmLikeaBoss you can literally read that old lady dog‘s mind when we don’t go to the beach eventually. 🤪
This is just amazing work Roger ! Probably a favorite ! Awsome work !
Thanks.
Nice one geezer :) You have made me get a pin hole now !
Enjoy James!
I really liked this video, great job! The prints look amazing!
Thankyou
freezing cold at the buttcrack of dawn, just needs a little rain to be the trifecta of nope. but despite the cold, looks like you got some great results. nice work and thanks for sharing.
To stabilise your tripod on sand, I recall a few years ago seeing Thomas Heaton placing old CDs or DVDs under the feet of his tripod .
Yes I used cardboard once. I thought of a much better way..... But I forgot what it was!! Must remember
Jam jar lids!
Another great watch, thank you, Makes me regret selling my unused pinhole camera last year - money, eh!
I have many bad pinhole shots!
Great. Fantastic shots again, itching to get out my self but it’s a few weeks away yet.
Cheers Matt. Also look at Ranica pinhole cameras.
@@ShootFilmLikeaBoss yeah have done some digital pinhole, I made a body cap into a pinhole, but must admit I do fancy a go with film. Don’t know whether to look at that first of a holga I haven’t done any 120 yet so ether way it will be new, your pinhole shots are stunning though.
P.S. thanks for thé nod to Martin Henson, Roger. Subscribed and watching all his videos. His work is amazing and he’s a lovely man too. I’m going to try two stage developer etc!
Wooden tripod are the best! I love my Berlebach. It is super fast to setup and no problems in cold days. Wonderful photos today!!! Thank you for your video!
Isn't it heavy? How old is it?
@@ShootFilmLikeaBoss Dear Roger, It is about 3kg and it is absolutely the best for the long exposure. It is new from Berlebach.de. It is in Ash wood. I love it. I setup it in three seconds at the right high. I put the camera on it in one second!
@@flavioserci6046 wow they look awesome!!
Perhaps they could be interested to send you one for a video? You have a lot of fun! I've got the Report 332.
Looked Baltic on that beach. Great light though.
Silly O-clock? Is that the time that comes right after Zero Dark-thirty?
Silly O-clock comes after Stupid O-clock, which comes after Buttcrack dark O-clock 😂
I just started developing my film in the dark room and you been an incredible source of information! Question though, how in the hell do you keep your prints from curling and looking awful once dried???
I use resin coated paper. That stuff drys well when hanged. Sometimes it can get a bit curley but lay it flat after it's dry and it flattens out.
@@ShootFilmLikeaBoss got it. I been using ilford gloss and it curls like crazy!
@@chad9935 strange... Is it fiber?
@@ShootFilmLikeaBoss sure is
still haven't tried mine (bought the same model 2 months ago), I have to watch again your video about it, so I don't mess up too much my frist film with it (framing, exposure...), it's a bit stressful
There is a post on how I meter for it on my website Maxence.
@@ShootFilmLikeaBoss I will check that, thank you. I have everything (apps...) but I just need to go and dive !
What's your process for metering and calculating for reciprocity? Do you use an app, or just a calculator?
I use a pinhole app. If you scroll through the posts on my website you come across my pinhole metering method. Reciprocity times I get off the Ilford website.
I recently bought one of these and I'm struggling to work out the exposure times, what's your method or what do you use to calculate the esposure? I have a roll of HP5+ waiting to be put through the camera and sent off for developing, but I dont want to ruin it, any help would be appreciated
400 speed film will be hard in the day, better for night. I've put my metering method on a post on my website. Email me if you have trouble.
Beautiful work yet again 👍🏻👍🏻
I was wondering while watching your video today, the kind of budget one would have to consider when printing on paper like you’re doing. Take aside the investment of the enlarger and the usual film, development kit. How much paper do you go through? Fumbled making a question, sorry, was a long week at work and found a new Malbec at the supermarket 🍷🍷 cheers
Once you have the hardwear it's just a case of spending on paper, chems and film. So you'd spend as much as you used. I'd go sparingly before I had the channel but Thanks to the Patrons and CZcams Members that support the channel I can play with more stuff and put out videos. A pack of 100 sheets of 10x8 can go a long way of you go easy. But again if you're learning you could go through it quick because of all the errors you'd make. My mate described it as an expensive hobby. He's right in a way but not everyone that has a gas guzzling classic car drives it to work every day ha ha, if that makes sense.
@@ShootFilmLikeaBoss Makes sense, absolutely. So as a segway, when is the book coming out? The Dark Room by Roger :)
I'm just getting into this. How accurate do you have to be with exposure times? You said 24 seconds for one of them. Do you have to be accurate down to the second like that?
Not really Rob. A few seconds either side wont hurt.
Link to channel in description isn't working.

🙏 Sorted. Thanks!!

Hi, my names David I'm an artist in Manchester, i was wondering do you clean or fix camera's for folk, i bought a helina super, an Olympus om 101 and a cannon T80 so i could take pictures of my marionettes with original style, in black and white mainly.
The Olympus has a damaged shutter curtain and helina needs a proper clean - maybe fix, I'm a complete amateur, what have i done 😂😂
Would you consider taking a look at them?? Obviously I'd pay you, I'm a bit stuck.
I don't. Try abetterangle or thephotograpersbag on CZcams. Both in the UK.
@@ShootFilmLikeaBoss you sir are a gentleman, thank you.
I'm gonna keep watching your channel, your info is awesome and humor is spiffing.
Keep up the fine work.🌱☘🌳👍🏻
