- Welcome to Wonderhussy Adventure #787
Date of adventure: 4/7-4/9/24
After skipping the total eclipse in 2017, I vowed never to miss another -- so I drove all the way to Arkansas to visit my friends Gina Nice and Gina Spice, and went camping on an island in beautiful Lake Ouchita to check out the 2024 eclipse...which almost turned out to be a BEEclipse!

Most people have no idea just how beautiful Arkansas and lake Ouachita is. Thanks for coming here.
Texas has better lakes 😀
Love that humidity , and tick and chigger season.......HECK YEA 👍
@@PaulShaw-ex7ri No one said there are no downsides...
And snakes
@@jwfinley7808 I love herptiles.
Cool video Sarah. I'm 83 and have been a follower of yours for 5-6 years now, I've never seen a complete solar eclipse. I have seen numerous partials. So yours was special. If you take a large piece of stiff paper and pole a little hole in the center of it, you can focus the spot of light onto another sheet of paper or onto the sidewalk, you create what's called a 'pin hole camera'. The image will show the suns profile perfectly... So no need to look at the sun directly.
Those bees were weird!!!!............drive safe coming home.......
Im sorry!
Dear Sarah, I'm a veteran of the 2017 E-clipse -- so glad you were able to experience the 2024 BEE-clipse and E-clipse!! 🐝🌑😎
I’ve seen 2 total eclipses and 1 annular in the past 7 years. Pictures and video don’t do them justice as to the actual experience! The animal’s reaction, temperature drop, the mystical twilight that one is enveloped in. Bucket list activity. Next ones in the U.S. are in 2044 and a coast to coast in 2045. Thanks for the documentation on this one…. 🌚 🌞
I'm so happy that Gina is still being Gina
We were in Mountain View, Arkansas--gorgeous area! We came in from California and joined up with folks from Kansas City. The eclipse was totally amazing, and I'm glad you got to experience it! I'm a former beekeeper, and having a swarm land on a boat in a lake is astonishing to me. Hope someone took them home and gave them a hive!
The Hussy gets around
And we love her for it🎉❤
In so many ways just playing around lol.
Thank you for having us on board with your Ginas.
Glad you were able to enjoy the eclipse Wonderhussy! :-)
Wow : everyone else already said what i was going to say. Thanks for a real good time 🥳🥰📹
WH-so clever: The eclipse and the beeclipse 🙂 The glow sticks were a GREAT idea.
Thanks, Sarah, for showing us "the eye in the sky." Another fun video with new and longtime friends. Gina nice, Gina spice, and WH in one video. And don't forget the bunnies. Very cute when Gina nice pucked up puppy with life vest.
I live in the path of totality. I watched it from my deck in Toledo without having to drive anywhere. It was amazing. I wore my welder's mask.
I grew up as a army brat overseas and now live in Arkansas and I think it is amazing too.
I saw totality on the shores of Lake Erie. On the water was the place to see it. especially with the 360 degree sunset. But don't get to used to it. In 583 million years we won't have any more Total Eclipses.
My wife and i saw the eclipse in Oregon in 2017, and there was no stopping us from a 5000 mile round trip to Texas from Washington to see this one! Totally worth the trip for 4 minutes of totality! Words cannot describe it, you have to see it in person!
so entertaining & informative. some of your best work ever!
The next total eclipse in 21 years also comes across Arkansas. It’s something to plan for! 😅 Glad you enjoyed our beautiful state! 😀
I drove out from LA as well! I was 230 miles southwest from you, Sarah. Town called Sulphur Spring in Texas. Just like you, im glad i did not listen to the wearther forcasters. It was absolutely incredible to see it in person. It was way worth it. I'll be 66 years old next time we get one in the States, yikes!!
I will be 75 in 20 years, huge yikes lol
I was at Lake Ouachita, too!!! Primitive camping on a friend’s 16 acres with 3 gal pals and some great fellas!! It’s an abandoned gravel mining site, with a waterfall, and the view was awesome!! Wish I had run into my favorite “Hussy” while there!!
I was able to see the eclipse on my smart phone! Saved me some driving. I just clicked on this video to see who the guest star is.
I would like to have seen it. It's a shame the moon got in the way.
I watched the eclipse in Panama City Beach. We had 86% coverage at 1:57 pm. What was weird it got real cold on the beach! Crazy!
Gina! Gina! Gina! Nice and Spice are awesome!! Thank you for hosting Wonderhussy for the Beeclipse and Eclipse. That was the best coverage I've seen.
Excellent filming Sarah.
Bees aren't gross. Come on Hussy
Looks like you had a great time Sarah! Gina & Gina are very cool 😎 glad you
enjoyed The Natural State! 💎💎💎🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
On August 21, 2017, I was in beautiful central Oregon with a bunch of solar eclipse fanatics! There were several school teachers, many families, and even some astronomers from Hawaii! No insects, but that is normal here. Our biggest potential challenge was forest fire smoke, but it all blew away for the eclipse. The other challenge was that the media was warning of exceptionally heavy traffic (all presumably out of state tourists) crowding into the path of totality. That didn't happen most places except in Lincoln City, Oregon and at an official eclipse viewing and party in Madras, Oregon, where the traffic jams were legendary.
I love Nice & Spice! And of course Hussey!😂❤❤❤
Happy you experienced totality. Number 2 for me, I cannot find the words to express the experience. The surroundings, insects, birds, weather, critters, the light, a total experience to be sure. I was in the Buckville/Avant area, my old stomping grounds in the 90's.
👍👍👍👍👍🌝🌒🌑🌘🌝 I'm glad you got to have a birds eye view of the solar eclipse, it made the drive well worth while for sure. Great shots of it and the surrounding area.
-> Or the Bee's eye view of the Solar Eclipse, er, Beeclipse!! 🐝🦅😉 In LORD God's Mighty & Holy Name, Divine Angelic Best to ALL!! 😻🙇🏻♀️🙏🏼🕊️👼🏻🌤️🌞
Thanks for sharing this for someone who could not see totality here.
lol
Sasquatch swims you know! 😮
Wow!!!
You have fabulous views of the total eclipse of the sun in 2024.
Safe travels home ❣️

Good old Hot Springs Arkansas. I hope you went to the bath houses and got a massage. And a nice barbecue sandwich at mcclard's.
In my my opinion, Hot Springs Arkansas has some of the best drinking water in the world.
I’ve been gone for a while, but I’m back. Glad to see you’re still making these videos. You are an icon. Keep going, girl you’re amazing love watching your adventures.❤❤❤
Yes, it was a great eclipse, and I enjoyed it in my backyard, in Evansville,IN !!!
How cool, an Eclipse with a beeclips
That was pretty cool!
As you probably are aware of ,this was one of the coolest videos that you have ever posted! You have made a number of truly outstanding vids, and this was clearly near , if not at, the top of the heap!
The eclipse was GREAT here in Austin as well. Your trip was worth it all!!!! Thank you for everything!!!!
This entire video put a great big smile on my face. Once again, well done Sarah Jane.
I was on nights but got up at 1:30 and went out in the back yard here in Kentucky to watch it with my wife and daughter. We had just over 2 minutes of totality here, but it was still pretty cool. We actually postponed our vacation out west just so our 4 year old daughter could see the eclipse.
Cool!!! ECLIPSE. Video!!😂❤ Thanks Wonderhussy!
Last total was 2017, and it WAS life-changing!
Hey girl, thanks for the effort and expense of getting this really cool video out !
That eclipse was so amazing. It was so amazing to see my yard lites come on when it got dark out here in rural Arkansas. And I'm glad you enjoyed your visit to our state.
What an experience!!! Thank you for sharing it with us :) I love that area. Beeclipse, sheesh! So glad ya'll split out of there, that was too too much. Awesome, you.
The eeeclipse!
Wow.. what a great adventure you had ! Beautiful lake and the bee-clipse was an added surprise! 😅
Glad you survived another adventure! Was really cool to see! Thanks !! Appreciate all the effort you put in to make this happen! 😊
Not far from my home. Great video Sarah.
"Would you look at that "❤
Eclipse of March 1970..was out at a friend's farm..had forgot about Eclipse..was sitting on hood of car when I noticed it getting dark..animals layed down as tho to retire..a flock of dove flew over going into evening roost..I would glance occasionally at the Eclipse being mindful not to look too long..2 years later had some trouble with the right eye..optometrist asked me if I was a welder..stated I had burn scars on right retina..I find it odd that the optic problem occurred 2 years later..and over the years I've had that optic problem crop up on rare occasions
You could watch this one out the other eye!! 😂
@@jamesf4405 funny thing about it is that I've not had any headaches since that time that I can recall
You hit it out of the park with this one
5:21 Dog's name ought to be "Suitcase". Legend has it that an old timer of the area lost his home when the Ouachita River flooded back in the Spring of '41. "Damn that Ouachita River!" he was heard to mutter into his beer at the local watering hole. A fellow thirsty traveler at the pub happened to overhear him and decided to kick the complaint up the chain to his congressman. The war was over and hundreds of young men had returned to the area without the promise of jobs, so the congressman did what congressmen do - he figured out a way to bring home the bacon. After 2 more terms in Congress, he managed to push his "Dam The Ouachita! Full Speed Ahead on Jobs for Arkansans" bill through both houses of Congress and onto the President's desk. Truman was happy to sign it, since Missouri boys, fresh from the war, would likely stream into Arkansas to lend a hired hand to building the dam, and presto! Lake Ouachita was born. Or, maybe it happened some other way.

Nice. I looked for your live feed that day. Cool video.
So glad you were able to experience the eclipse ❤
Don't forget , snakes can swim ! 😂
Obeeeehave!!
I live in central Texas, my Sis drove out from Cambria, CA to see it in my backyard. She's finishing a hike and is at Mono hot springs today. We had clear sky's during the eclipse.
Arkansas is a beautiful state! My parents lived in Little Rock for many years. Thanks for the cool video Sarah!!!!
I didnt want to watch this video because I was ‘totality’ envious, but you’re such a wonderful adventurer that you make us feel a Part of your journey instead of an outsider looking in. So thank you.
I got me a shirt I have one from 2017 oregon one .there on Amazon. You having fun and yes you ladies are cute
I do love your sense of adventure! And the Gina's & Dan are nice too!

OUCH! Dear Sarah, it is Ouachita! Thanks for the great video!
Sarah Jane, I live just east of Pittsburgh and we had 97% totality right here where my home is. The eclipse was very impressive watching in my backyard. The sky cleared up just before it happened and we watched it with total clarity.
Watched the eclipse in Richardson, Texas. It was amazing!
Great eclipe footage. Thanks for posting.
Thanks for bringing us along, absolutely amazing ❤❤❤😊😊😊
Very Cool !! Thank You for Sharing this Incredible Experience !! Your Awesome !!
Good Job Sarah. Thanks for sharing in all the fun.
I'm so glad it worked out for you. The eclipse passed over here in north/central NY. But, as usual, so did the clouds. They rolled in after a clear sunrise and started breaking up before night! Thanks for sharing.
Ouchita is one of the MOST beautiful places on earth!! PERFECT place to watch an eclipse!
That looked like such a great time!
Great shots of the eclipse. Curious to see where you stopped on the way back.
me too, to and from
Great video Arkansas is a beautiful state my dad was from there
Thank you!
Caught the eclipse, too. Was fishing, actually, when it started getting shady. Mosquitoes came out in droves.
So happy for you. You really did it up right.
Good trip...Beautiful.
It was so worth it.
Cool seeing you back in my stomping grounds of Arkansas! We may not have much compared to the West, but we do have beautiful scenery and lakes! The bee swarm made the news here too! It's swarm season!
Oh my goodness, so glad you came to our beautiful state! I love your channel. I grew up in Mount Ida and on Lake Ouachita 😊❤️
Thanks Sarah. That was so cool!
I beelong to a bee keepers group in Arkansas just to keep track of bee swarming as it moves north. I keep bees in Indiana and it helps me be ready instead of SURPRISE!. My bees were flying around during the eclipse, didn't seem to bother them much. They navigate by the sun position. Those bees down there were just doing normal swarming which is how they reproduce. Not surprised they got on the boat as if they were going across the lake the queen bee is a heavy bee full of eggs and she can't fly long distances. The rest of the bees follow her.
That was great, dad says we can't watch your full Moon video. He's sleeping again. Mom ran away a truckdriver from pokanowhere again. My three sisters and two brothers like you too.
Nice vid wh
Professional. I got chills and clapped through totality. Rerun, Thank You.
I live near Washita, Oklahoma! Washita means good hunting ground. I know its a different spelling but pronounced the same. Great Video looked like the perfect place to Bee LOL
As usual, full of knowledge, honesty, experience, understanding and absolutely enjoyable - thank you.
Great video Sarah!
That must have been a hell of a lot of fun!
What a beautiful part of the country!
Safe travels!
You were in my neighborhood 👍🙂
Spectacular 😎⭐️🤩
Awesome eclipse, thanks for sharing. Gina's nice. I mean Gina Nice and Spice is nice. Ah what the hell, I'll never be camping out like that.
Saw the 2017 in Driggs, Idaho and saw this one in Fort Worth. Once experiencing totality, you never go back!
I'm in the Ouachitas.
Glad you got to visit my backyard .
Beautiful!
