using an all-cotton 2weight yarn, I worked this up as a green-to-yellow ombre beach (not-so)cover-up. thank you. It made it seem easy to make a lacy blouse/dress, even for me.
As soon as I have finished my winter cardigans - as we are in winter now in South Africa - I will be doing a few crochet tops and short sleeve cardigans for summer. I Am so thankful to have these tutorials in English as I do understand other languages. Thank you so much. Your tutorials are wonderful!!! Dana van Heerden
I am making this top now, I have very wide arms, so I made 1 more row in front and 1 more in back before joining back to front. Now it fits perfect. It looks very nice, easy to follow your instractions. I live in Canada and find it so wonderful to see how many countries people respond from. Super work!!!!
oooh Sigrid your words make mi happy, if you'd like to show me your blouse please do it on my FB group facebook.com/groups/234237996644202/ I would really appreciate so much to see your blose. Thanks a lot!
Hello...Can you give a stitch count after each round like first round was hdc how many at end of round? Second round was dc how many at end of round? And so on ...I just want to make sure I have same amount of stitches as you. Thank you! Very much you explain very well.
Your tutorials are wonderful, thank you so very much for making them so clear and easy to follow. Do you have a link to buy the pattern in a written/downloadable format?
Thank you for this lovely pattern. That will be my future project. I am large at the top and extra large around my hips, and very wide arms. Should I make the yoke a little wider(more rounds), plus make more rows right after the yoke before joining back to front ? I will just try and see if it works. I can always undo it again. Thanks again for all your hard work.
You will want to continue increasing the yoke pattern until you get to the measurement of the fullest part of your chest. Then continue to join for the underarms as shown, hope this helps.
I really love your designs - only discovered your channel recently - and have made one other top already.. My cotton was slightly thinner than yours for this one, and everything worked out fine until I hit the last single crochet round before starting the separate back/front parts. Following your video tutorial, I ended up with only 208 stitches, so I was 16 stitches short. I checked and re-checked that I had the correct amount of stitches for the starting row, had not missed any rows, etc., and pulled it out a few times. I even watched the Italian version of this video (although I don't speak a word of Italian) in case I missed something.... In the end I just pulled that last row out and evenly increased 16 stitches all around. After that I decided that because my yarn was a bit thinner, I would need more stitches for the back/front, so I did another round of single crochet with increases which pushed it up to 65 for the back, 67 for the front and 52 stitches each for the armholes (I have thin arms haha). To me, it was easier than fiddling with the stitches on the back/front sections themselves - I scribbled a few stitch diagrams of the pattern and figured out it was a multiple of 8 + 11 for the front and 8 + 9 for the back. I am totally happy with it, looks great and fits me perfectly - but I'd really like to know what I might have done wrong... Thank you so much for making the English versions of your tutorials, much appreciated - and you speak excellent English.
thank you Josephine, I must be honest and tell you that I do not remember anymore the multiple for this sweater and why you finished with 16 stitches less....however, your sweater is okey and this is the important! thanks a lot for compliments, sometimes I feel insecure because of my English, thank you so much :)
interresting. at the 13th row i had way too MANY stitches. i increased back and front, just enough to make each a multiple of 7. we'll see how it comes out.
I really love your design and now I'm making it for my mom. I have finished the neck park and finished 3 rows of the backside. Would you mind explaining to me how to continue with row 4? Do I have to turn my work or cut the yarn at the end of row 3 and attach the new yarn at the beginning of row 3?
i am new subscriber, so glad i found you ( settas place talked about your patterns) your tutorials are lovely and clear, thankyou.. i cant wait to start on some tops, especially this one.
Thanks for your kind comment, if you'd like to show your creations of my tutorials or for any question come to my fb group facebook.com/groups/234237996644202/?ref=share
J hook should be 6 mm, sorry but in Italy we have different hook chart and I have to make conversion to understand :) I'm happy tht your sweater is good!
I love this top and you explain clearly. I am a 2x size and need a much larger neck and arm size can you do a tutorial for xxxlarge size please. Thank you
hi lovely blouse...i am planning to.make it...but i strtd as per your instruction i did base chains and i finished 1 row so just tried put on but looks like its gonna be small...pls help
Nice tutorial ! I'm making it right now but I'm stuck in row 11 ... I have too much (or not enough) stitches to complete the shell stitch. Could you indicate how many stitches we should end up with at the end of each row (especially row 10) in order to get the 224 stitches needed !? Or at least how many shells in total in row 11 ... Grazie ;-)
Hi! thank you for sharing this nice blouse in here .I want to work this tutorial with a thin yarn. how many stitches i cost on? instead of 90 because its abvious its not gonna be the same mesurement since its not the same yarn you are using .
Hello Alex, I just discovered your videos recently and am very impressed. You're so charming. Your explanations are perfect, very clear and precise. I followed your instructions without any problems, even though I'm a crochet beginner. Thank you very much Alex for sharing your knowledge in crochet and for brightening my days with this wonderful and challenging hobby, I'm so grateful. I just finished this sweater, this is my very first project with your video. I've used Caron Big Cakes, blue macaron, 100% acrylic and it came out beautifully. With my very best regards...
Hi .. My mum love your pattern and I would like to make it for her.. I am using the Lana Stop Algodon Soft yarn (cotton), recommend hook size is 3mm. So may I know how many chains should I start? For you 90 chains... how long is it? My mum is between L and XL. Thank you for sharing your beautiful pattern.
hi Rossana, stitch is a multiple of 3, so that you can increase the neck collar of 6-9 stitches if you need. Then you can decide to increase also stitches also at the moment you start working only on the back and front sides, when you are doing single crochets across the first row, doing 2 single crochet in the same stitches you can increase how wide you need
You are an expert crocheter, I like very much your patterned yoke, I have avoided them, as I couldn't work out the maths for the increases, could i please ask you a question , ....your yoke has no increases each round? but still sits flat...I can't work this out, does this mean that you don't need to increase in a lacy pattern yoke? Could I do any lacy pattern and the yoke will still sit flat? I would appreciate your answer as I can't work it out. ...Regards Jan from Australia
hi milagro, you don't have to increase the foundation chain because the collar is the same for all sizes, but you should increase the stitches after you have joined the sleeves, in the video you find all instructions how to increase according to size
You are a very knowledgeable lady by it is hard to follow along due to the fact that is that you crochet too fast. I am an intermediate crcheter and I cannot catch up to you.
hi Michelle, it's impossible...probably you're using a too thin yarn, which hook size are you uing in mm? I use a 5 mm crochet hook with a very thick cotton. I am sad that your work is not going well, give me a reply and I'll try to help you ;)
I tried really hard to make this blouse and was really enjoying it. However, I have these things called boobs, and even when I added many rows to the blouse, it was just too small. Do you have a pattern for large chested ladies😁🙊? Thank you very much! I enjoyed trying to make this blouse, because it wasn't the same row, over and over, so thank you for posting this pattern, because I'm sure smaller women will love it ☺

I used Lion Brand "Shawl in a Ball" and I used J hook. Now I did a new one again and chained 100 then it came out fine. I'm a medium size woman.

Is there a written pattern for this? If so, where can I get it, please?
Thanks for the tutorial. If I want the sweater size small, should I avoid to increase?
yes you should, and qhen you start working on back and front side also decrease some stitches
According to the Lion Brand " shawl in a Ball"yarn label, it indicates 4mm and J hook. Let's end the talk.
Hi .. My mum love your pattern and I would like to make it for her.. I am using the Lana Stop Algodon Soft yarn (cotton), recommend hook size is 3mm. So may I know how many chains should I start? MAKE A CHAIN WHICH WRAPS RIGHT AROUND THE neck of your lady, be careful must be a multiple of 4
@@uncinettodialex Thank you. I realised that you started with 90 chain which is not a multiple of 4... may i know why? Thank you.
May be I don't remember the correct multiple, make a chain with the multiple I used in this video
Nice sweater, but, It,s too small for me. What increases should I do?
hi Rossana, stitch is a multiple of 3, so that you can increase the neck collar of 6-9 stitches if you need. hi milagro, you don't have to increase the foundation chain because the collar is the same for all sizes, but you should increase the stitches after you have joined the sleeves, in the video you find all instructions how to increase according to size

In italiano c'è questa czcams.com/video/He5on3GzlQ8/video.htmlsi=Iw3MBZ_eTO63l-Ai
i forget to tell you i using cottons yard is not to thick how many chains i needed
stitch is multiple of 3, therefore, depending on your size and yarn's thickness you sould add 3 chains, or 6, or 9, or 12, etc.
Need help when I divided my 4 parts I still have 54 stitches left what did I do wrong how many stitches should I have at the end of my collar
